  • i threw my lap top across the room in the close up

  • it is a male one ? isn't it?

  • i woulda smashed that shit with a rake

  • music makes this video awesome :L

  • I'm afraid of spiders. In England they don't get very big at all. I am scared of even the smallest spiders. If I saw this thing in my bath, I would either brick the door and pee outside, or maybe even move house

  • funnel web male ?

  • The music in this is an excellent choice. It sounds like every cheesy 1950s horror film.

  • it look very mean

  • omg even my pet tarantula aint that big, but mine looks much less horifying

  • Epic music! makes me laugh ever time

  • That is so cool i wouldnt get close or anything but i'd keep it. Scare the shit out of my mom for sure

  • if i saw that i would shit my self

  • your like

"OMG DEADLY SPIDER.......Lets piss it of wiv a stick !!!!!" XD

  • DUUUUDE WTF

  • omg i loved the music

  • I've stamped fuck out off one of these with my bare foot once, hate the little fuckers.

  • @Moleson3MC well lets hope someone returns the favour to you when see how you like it

  • @MrAirgunlover Unfortunately your comeback did not make sense.

  • @Moleson3MC i meant then

  • Thaatt's right poke it with a stick.

  • Well now don't piss it off! Lulz

  • I guess a place like Washington D.C. is a place with a lot insects because of the very mild climate. A spider like this one have i even seen in Denmark. We do not have poisoned spiders like the brown thing. Do Washington have spiders like black widow and the brown spider? Someone out there who can tell me about it. The reason why im talking about Washington, is because it seems to be from there you got the warm area in USA.

  • Classics 50's Monster music for this shot. Next time put a toy car in the shot. Sweet!!

  • That's one big ass spider

  • its ugly and it is a male so he was out looking for a female thats for sure. If I had something like that near here I would scream

  • the horror

  • Run its Spider Godzilla!

  • scary SPIDER

    :o

  • OMG!

  • This was pob the hardest thing I've ever had to watch!! I'm sitting here with my friend (who LOVES spiders) and I'm like DEATHLY scared of them

  • it looks squished.

ive never seen one like that in real life : ( all the ones around here are tiny little things that couldnt harm a fly. unfortunately. darn flies.

  • its called a hammer in vest now!!!!!

  • its got 10 legs?

  • No,those 10 th legs are actualy some of his little hands...dont know name for that

  • I'm pretty sure they are called pedipalps. Confirmation anyone?

  • Yes,i confirm man ! tnx for telling me,i remembered now. :)

  • @SnowTau Yes they are

  • they are called pedipalps ^^ or just palps 4 short ^^

  • @majorhavoxg1 No, lol. the big two extra 'legs' you talk about are pedipalps, they are sensory organs and reproductive organs.

  • 0:14 Dont kidding the spider.

  • looks to be a mature male i hope u let it live

  • I did indeed. As thick as the insect population is around here I like to encourage as many predators like this guy that I can.

  • @georgiahoosier ur great dude :)

  • so basically it acts like your you and your dad.

  • Amazing what a little music can do for a normal video... sweet

  • lol nice music

  • Actually the Trapdoor isnt a "cousin" of the funnel web, Im sure if you went way back in year they could have a couple of the same ancestors, but otherwise they are not. I got heaps of sydney funnel web holes in my backyard.

  • What I have is not a trap door spider I think. The biggest one I have seen was about maybe 1/2 in body length with thick legs. It looked similar to that but I think what I have start with a P, palmar spider? I can't remember

  • Is it one of those hairy little guys that moves with quick, jerky motions? Or the dark reddish brown ones with shiny bodies and legs that seem to always be on the move? We get both around here along with enough other types to keep a spider nut happy forever (southeast Georgia)

  • What is this spider called? I think we have been nearly infested with ones that look like this. they keep showing up on my patio. They are the biggest things -I- have ever seen and they never really run when I try to get a closer look.

  • He's a "Trapdoor" spider, unpleasant looking but harmless in the US. If you were seeing his cousin from Australia called the "Funnelweb" spider you'd have something poisonous on your hands.

If there's a lot of them then there must be something in abundance that they are eating.

  • @georgiahoosier wut r u talkin about?! its not unpleasent looking! its really cute!

  • @georgiahoosier funnel web spiders are not localized to Australia. The Australian and sydney funnel web are though. this does look like a type of Araneomorph funnel-web spider. but i could be wrong.

  • It does actually look like a trapdoor. I got one, but didn't want it, so I gave it to my friend. It looks like that but brown. And without the large pedipalps. I believe that means the one shown here is a male.

  • EEK!

  • Your lucky...I really want one, but my parents aren't really in to spiders at all...like i kno many ppl find them disgusting and worthless but to me they're interesting and beautiful creatures

  • the black death star lol

  • It is a dog with Spider Underwear.

  • the sydney funnel web spider probably the most dangerous spider in the world due to its agressive nature and frequent of human habitation......although brazilian wandering have more toxic venom this is tagged as the most dangerous cause of the number of bite cases with humans per year.....add the fact it isnt scared of people......so rather than run away from you.....you tend to run away from it......

fasinating creatures......just be careful if you ive in SE Australia......in peace......

  • spiderman

  • kill it with fire

  • CUTE!

  • I think this Family Guy quote sums this video up well:

    Damn, nature, you scary!

  • Kill it !!! Fuck Spiders..

    Hairspray and Fire..BOOOM..

    Grilled Spider...

    Haha

  • KILL IT WITH FIRE!

  • kill it with ur breath you funky ass bitch.

  • What is the name of the music theme?

  • It's from "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea", composed by the legendary Jerry Goldsmith

  • crazy camera man! if i was him i would run

  • IMAGINE STEPPING ON THAT SHIT

  • LMAO DATS SOO JOKES ALL DA JUICE COMEIN OUt lol ouch lol

  • oh noes, its a spider, what we gonna do? D:

  • a flamethrower

  • get the fucking mortein!

  • Nice specimen

  • lol its kinda funny

  • IS THIS BIG INSECT?Hm try giant centipede. Now that can eat your chihuahua

  • Centipedes don't usually come with such ominous music though!

  • hello i have resently bought a T he settled in perfect in the first 2 weeks but the last 2 days she has been very lazy not eating and has a couple of bold patches on the abdumum i am getting really worried some one please write to me please

  • give her living food, usually works

  • its quite normal um do u happen to have a chilean rose hair? they are the usually the ones that have feeding problems they're known to not eat for quite awhile lol and bald spots happen becuz its flicking hair tarantuals flick off hair as a defense mechanism also T's also dont tend to eat when its close to molting time so just relax should'nt be a problem unless its sick but i doubt it just wait awhile

  • Or she is getting ready to molt. They will stop eating and then one day she will turn over on her back and molt her skin. DO not have any cricket in there when she does (they can bite her and kill her) and do not disturb her and make sure it is humid.

  • NJARGH!! FEAR ME!!!!

  • Nice. Trapdoorspiders are known for their agressiveness.

  • Er... not this type my friend. The one shown is a common brown trapdoor.

  • do they have trapdoor spiders in america???

we have em in australia but they arent meant to be dangerous.

  • NO, they don't inhabit america

  • You are the greatest rapper alive.

  • What song is this? I could have sworn I saw heard it on godzilla, it transformed into a rap beat and was sick when I first heard it..

  • It's from the old TV series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Whenever the Seaview was menaced by some rubber suited monster this music usually played in the background

  • Ah I'm been looking for the hip hop version of it. I'm not positive if this is it. I think I heard it from Godzilla but this sounds like it. What's the soundtrack called?

  • It's from the CD entitled "Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen -- Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea". It's part of a set of 6 CDs but sometimes you can catch the Voyage one on Ebay by itself. This particular clip is part of the second season music composed by Jerry Goldsmith and featured in the episode "Jonah and the Whale" from 1965. The track was rerun many times throughout the final three years of Voyage.

  • it's very funy miusic to the spider

  • i would f*#Kin shoot that shit if i saw it near me

  • thats a nice spider

  • kill him!!! i hate these fuckers. world is better place without them.....

  • yeah for us, but ther the world would be over run with insects and shit because there is nobody to eat them all lol :)

  • ermmm if there were no spiders, there would be millions more flys and that, so count yourself lucky

  • no it isnt. if it wasnt for spiders catching and eating bugs, the world would be overrun by bugs.

  • lol

  • ick!!!!!

  • Hahahahaah the music is brilliant xD

    thats eh...one big spider

  • Did you know that the only mammals serious effected by funnelweb venom are primates? Whatever killed your dog tys247 wasn't a funnelweb.

  • that looks like a funnel web i hate i found like 5 of them attacking my dog they ended up killing him be4 i could save him i live in Australia by the way

  • WTF kind of spider is that??? Where do you live? That thing looks like a Funnel Web spider, but those are only found in Australia. Whatever it is, I sure wouldn't want to find that thing on my doorstep!

  • He's the American cousin to the Funnel Web; a Trap Door spider. He has the looks but not the bite of his deadly relative. This was shot in the southeastern US, Statesboro, GA to be exact
