The Infinity Ward team was severely broken up shortly after mw2 was released, due to legal disputes, that had to call on the assistance of Raven Software and Sledgehammer (and a bit Treyarch) to help finish mw3. This particular Infinity Ward team lacked key members of the development team behind mw2, cod4 and the entire CoD franchise which would explain why mw3 is not up to par to cod4 and mw2. Mw3 was made by Activision, not the "true" Infinity Ward. Thumbs up so more people can realize this.
