I live in manchester too and some areas called council estates (much like the projects in the US, but not as bad) do have chavs, youll also see them in some shopping centres or commercial areas, cheap pubs or bars, but really, theyre in the vast minority.

England is a nice place, low crime, the weather isnt great, it isnt perfect, but its nothing like he says. I have been mugged 3 times in life, but only as a child, by older children.
