when animals are around humans, they will analyse our every move. When we are not around them, they start acting like humans & "cat barking" is a perfect example for that.
its weird how people think of this as amazing well it is amazing but not because its an *animal* but because people think that animals have no feelings or thoughts or emotions and they call it *instinct* that a deer would cry for its dead child that isnt instinct its love and emotion same as we humans have i dont get how we dont understand animals when we should know because we are animals but everything a human makes/does(well not Everything)is wrecking the world and animals know that so they
@inneskelly Your mawkishness is insufferable. We couldn't destroy the world if we tried, and we're not trying. But the world probably would be better off with one less cynical misanthropic human such as yourself, so please go now and kill yourself. You disgust me.
@p0rcelaing0d Forgot what I said before though cause what I meant was humans aren't living healthy nowadays and its not a good sign for things to come because what happens when humans get more unhealthy and keep going that way will we just die off? oh and what you said about go and kill myself that is harsh and a stupid thing to say to someone and you say I hate all people speak for yourself moron.
My rabbit is smart, I didnt think he realized where the door handle was until he tried jumping at it. Had to let him into my room then, before broke his neck! :DD
just think about it, humans are smart, were able to do so much stuff, and interact with our surroundings, but were taught all of this stuff by our parents and family members and whoever else. Its just absolutely amazing when you see animals do these things that they aren't actually trained to do. you see alot of this in house pets, for example having a puppy when you first have a child, youre teaching your child how to interact..
and that puppy even if you dont know its watching, so your teaching your child and the puppy as well is learning. i think its just mind blowing what an animal is able to do. And you see some of these things and you wonder how it happened. the dog at the beginning for example might have watched a little child do that with a chair to get something that they couldnt reach, and over time when he wanted something that he or she couldnt reach did what that toddler did. Idk if u know wat i meen.
Did the dog, bird, and badger use tools? Is the bread any less of a tool than a flint arrow? Or for something to be considered a tool, must it be somehow modified by the animal for a particular purpose? While the dog and badger repositioned their chair and stick, they didn't actually modify them. Does tool building have to be a learned behavior rather than instinctive such as a beaver's damn or bird's nest? These animals demonstrated learned behavior but didn't modify anything.
Using the piece of bred to fish a fish is taking something an object and using it for your advantage. That's what a tool is. You can't expect them to build a factory of hammer and nails. Anything can be a tool of your convenience, the chair was simply a show of logic by repositioning an object to the advantage of the dog that defied gravity. After all, dogs weren't made to climb stuff :p Oh and I didn't modify the pencil I used to scratch my ear just now, but I still used it to scratch.
I wish people would stop abusing animals. they are equal to us, the only difference is that we have thumbs and can talk (and are a little smarter) But we are the same sort of creature. We are not 'Higher' than them.
I like to feel sexy....knowing someone is watching me ..wanting me...turns me on!BADLY! Holy crap! Those are all so smart! Those are such indirect uses of tools, they seriously took a lot of intelligence to pull off. Especially the bird; he could have just eaten the bread. Instead he delayed the pleasure and used it to catch bigger food! WOW! 5 stars totally!

Wow, us humans need a hook and fishing rod to catch fish, a bird just needs some bread to get the job done, what's that say about us? O_O
