  • You had me in tears. esp when the picture of your swollen feet came on the screen. Why? Because it looks identical to mine. I took it before it got the worst it has been. I could no longer see my small toes at all.

I'm thankful a friend found a medication to stop the swelling of the other medications I need for my disorder.

I cried harder of the photo of you and your hero. So beautiful. What love. If we could all love so much. I could only wish for such love.

    found you via misslola!

  • Gina, dear...that made me cry. You are so strong and although the journey has been tough, I am so glad that you've had your wife there to stand by your side...and save your life.

  • You are an inspiration! I am posting your link on this girl's site who is going to receiver her first kidney transplant at the age of 20 from her fiance. Her site is called KidneyFun if you are interested in talking to her :) I love your video! I just had my kidney transplant Sept 30th 2007!

  • Gina, thank you for putting this video out there. It is so powerful, the message is strong, but gentle. What a wonderful thing your husband did for you. This video touched me in so many ways. Thank you again for sharing it with us.

    Shelly

  • Aww :) All the best to you!

  • You're an inspiration.

And for the record--I am, and have been for years, an organ donor. I "recruit" people often. :)

  • Wow.

  • I have been an organ donor since I received my driver's license. I really don't understand why other people are not. We don't need them when we're dead and they can save so many lives! I really admire you and Sharie for your courage through all of this. Congrats on Lola's birthday and best wishes for a very bright future for you and your family!

  • Your video is very touching. What a fighter you are. Congratulations on your regaining your health.

  • I've watched this several times, and every time it touches my heart. Im so happy everything is going well for you, b/c I know what it's like when it goes bad ... HAPPY 2 YRS REJECTION FREE!! I wish you many more.

  • still the best ...

  • Yesterday was the 6th anniversary of my kidney transplant! My husband was my donor, too. I tell him I'm keeping him around in case I need something else, but I tell everyone else that giving me his kidney isn't even the best thing he's done for me. Thanks for helping to get the word out on kidney donations -- and how wonderful it is to get the gift of life twice. Debra

  • The Canadian organ donation is just as bad as the American. People find it hard to talk about. Lets break the silence. I sent you a song. can you help me promote it? JackGibney

  • My grandfather was a heart transplant patient, who spent 9 months waiting in a hospital for a heart - and through him I got to meet so many people who walk in the same shoes as you do everyday - I've always admired each and every transplant patient b/c they are the only people I have ever met who actually know the value of life. Keep staying strong girl, you're and amazing person.

  • beautiful vid, Patti.

  • I lost it at 6:05. Thank you so much, both of you! A true and beautiful message.

  • wow, thanks for sharing that.

  • That was beautiful. I firmly believe that organ donation should be an opt out scheme instead of an opt in one. Can you imagine how many lives that would save??

    Take care,

    Health & Happiness,

    Seasons Greetings,

    Andy

  • Miss Stallionette, you are a beautiful human being. That's all I can really think to say right now. This video brought tears to my eyes, and I'm going to go look at organ donation information right now because of you. What an amazing woman your spouse is...wow. That's the ultimate act of love: Taking some of your guts, and giving them to a loved one so they can live! :P Take care, lots of love from Texas.

  • What a very touching video .. it really speaks to your heart. I agree to be thankful for each day, its never guaranteed. Something I learned when we lost our son during pregnancy (2nd trimester). Sending you tons of hugs from Mel!

  • You are a Very Special Person, and so is your Spouse! You have taught us all a Valuable Lesson. Please, from time to time tell us more, and keep us Educated. I hope your family has a blessed Holiday. I love that smile. Take care.

  • Amazing your one in a million person was your spouse-- even more proof you were meant to be together. I just started watching you so not sure if you've shard this news with your viewers prior to this but really, wonderful.

  • Great Video, one of the main problems is only Doctors, Hospitals and Insurance Company's are permitted to profit from an Organ Donation, if the people donating the organ could profit, I lot more people would be saved.

  • Beautiful video, beautiful women. Blessings on you both.

    Connie

  • Thank you for sharing this video with us....this was a very touching and educational video.I know this video has made me start to think about being a organ donor.I also wanted you to know that you are a very strong & beautiful woman, and this video proves it by all means.Take care my friend and keep smiling = )

  • I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciated this video, ItalianStallionette.

[Bows head] Being in an intense moment like being near imminent death is a hell of a feeling that words and imagination can not emulate. I know. I've nearly been killed before in the past, so I can relate to how you feel. It's incredibly intense.

  • Oh Hippie...I am so honored to learn this about you. Have you ever vlogged about it? I would really really really like to hear your side of the story. Are you ok now? How long ago did you do this. Yes, I think vlogging about it would be sooo lovely!! My love to you!

  • Yet in almost every picture, you have a smile on your face. THAT is a testament to your inner peace, strength and power over your illness. And it speaks volumes that you don't even have to do anything else to share other than show your smile. Hoping to God that your life is better now and solid once again.

  • Hermun sez: It needs no saying that people who donates blood or organs can be called saviours of lives! hermun agrees with you that they ARE TRUE HEROES and we should ALL be thankfull to them / five stars and favorited !!!
