  • i want one of those foam wigs lol

  • YOU DON'T PUT A BRA IN A DRYER, GOD!

  • I thought it was from Hedwig from Harry Potter..

  • I think Hedwig looks uncannily like Juliette Lewis

  • "One day in the late-mid eighties I was in my early late twenties!"lol

    Best Line EVER!!

  • @jrw87 No the best is "How many times do I have to tell you? YOU DON'T PUT A BRA IN A DRYER! IT WARPS!"

  • July 20, 10 years of Hedwig and the angry inch, best movie ever.

  • Still one of the most amazing movies EVER!! ❤❤❤ so so much!

  • so.... what has this go to do with harry potter?

  • @bradmanwaring11 please tell me that's not a serious question. Even if it is, Because I really don't want to scream at you

  • John Cameron Mitchell: The world's most underrated director.

  • I love Hedwig. I have always loved Hedwig. And I will forever love Hedwig. ♥

  • @eilis76 me, too

  • Stupendo attore, stupende canzoni Bel film

  • To those who want to watch it online o to stagevu.com and look it up. It works but it will take a little time to load.

I love this movie so much!!!

  • OMG! james cameron mitchle is a GENIUS! i LOVED shortbus n i have every belife im gonna love this 2! as a bisexual i must say its great 2 c a movie where the protaginist struggles with both sides of his sex..the pressure from the outside world to b either a woman or a man is something i think the bisexual community suffers from alot.

  • @phoney98 Hold on, I've sort of catalogued myself under the label "bisexual" thinking it meant "someone who loves both genders" and what you describe sounds more like "transexual" from that perspective. Have I misunderstood your comment or did all those little LGBT pamphlets lie to me?

  • @aryllia The little pamphlets didn't lie. phoney98 is using the term "bisexual" inappropriately. A bisexual individual is attracted to both genders; it is unrelated to their own gender identity.

FYI, they're not describing a transsexual perspective, either. Transsexual person identifies as the gender that is opposite to their sex (as opposed to 'cis'). There are other terms for people who identify as both or neither gender.

  • @Pleonasms

    Pansexuality

The concept of pansexuality deliberately rejects the idea that there are only two genders,as pansexual people are open to relationships with people who do not identify as strictly men or women.

  • @afraidofreality

    wait....what?

last time i checked there are

only men and woman in this

world. even transsexuals have a gender

in which they decide on. transsexuals

    are not aliens you know.

  • @TheImpairedworld

No there are countless genders. Gender is a social/cultural construct.

  • @Himyvideoisthis

    just how may genders would

    you say there is?

  • @TheImpairedworld

Almost an infinite amount and genders even vary if someone or society identifies someone say as male. There are in between for even people identified as male. Examples: butch-male, femme-male, etc. The same can go for female. Even then people can identify as something in between for physical reasons (intersexed/hermaphrodite) or for psychological reasons (3rd gender/two-spirit). Like I said earlier there are countless genders some well know others only one person might know.

  • @Himyvideoisthis

    ooooooh. ok

  • @TheImpairedworld

It just means gender is not important. Identifying it is not even important in light of compatibility and attraction. :]

  • @afraidofreality

    ooh . ok. :P

  • @aryllia ok, this isnt true 4 ALL bisexuals, but it is for sum like me: a transsexual sees themself as ONE gender, like a transsexual man sees himself as a woman whereas a bisexual woman sees herself as beyond gender. that is bisexuals go beyond societal restrictions that define the genders sexually. with sexuailiy comes roles such as top vs. bottom wher female is bottom n male is top n wat im saying is that bisexuals feel uncomfortable having 2 choose either top or bottom because we feel both.

  • @phoney98 What you're describing sounds a bit like... pansexuality, I think. Though I haven't really read up on all the 101 sexual terms that's out there since the summer before last, so my memory is a bit on the rusty side. Or maybe pansexuality is the one where genders are completely out the window? Err... don't take me for my word, better check wikipedia on this one ^_^;

  • Well, to everyone's little chats on here... IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO SOMEONE REALLY IS DEEP DOWN INSIDE!!! WHAT MATTERS IS IF THEY TRY TO BE SOMETHING THEY REALLY ARE NOT (for example: a boy who is actually straight who talks about liking crossdressing [and doesn't really] and pretends he's gay just to get some sort of twisted attention)

  • DO NOT DRY BRAS, THEY WARP! XD

  • I woke up to this movie playing on my tv screen and I got intrested and watched it,otherwise I would not have rented it or looked for it on tv guide. It was otherwise a great film and gave me perspective on the thoughts and feelings of crossdressers. It was a brilliant and well done movie.Thank-you!!!

  • i love michael pitt

  • Wow, he's actually really pretty.

  • I love this movie!

  • :( i hated this movie, i saw it, couldnt understand over half of it, too much, artsy yes, crazy yes, too crazy for me, HELL YES

  • Why?

  • @Pinkberrythecat Some of these men are transexual which is totally seperate from being gay. One is about gender identity and the other is about sexual preference.

  • @Pinkberrythecat You have to open up your mind kid... I say kid because regardless of your age, you are so fucking childish. Some people just choose to express themselves that way. It's not always from a complete lack of self esteem.

What's wrong with being gay anyways? Maybe you should be left in the alley? Who's to say? Not you, that's for sure.

You've obviously never taken a good look around you. Pity, pity.

  • @DaveDFFA

If you read my comment carefully you would see I never said anything was wrong with being gay- what I said was it was sad that you'd want to be a woman when if you were gay you would have a better chance of getting a boyfriend remaining a man.

In the end this whole thing doesn't affect me. I don't have to associate with transexuals.

Oh and I do look around me, most people aren't men pretending to be woman in my neighbourhood.

Because even if you get a sex change you're still a dude

  • @DaveDFFA

And I know it's not from lack of selfesteem some transexuals are very confident- but to ME it feels like they are just trying to hide themselves by artificially becoming someone else.

You will always be a man, you'll never sound like a woman and you'll never really have a vagina.

You have to learn to love yourself and stop trying to be something you're not

  • @Pinkberrythecat "Men who cross dress and act like women are queer. They shouldn't be put on the x factor or Britians got talent.

They should be left in the alleys."

It takes a lot more strength to pull off loving the person you want to be than the person you may be at a given time. There are millions of scenarios that could lead someone to live this kind of life.

Sometimes people just want to do something for them, whether it be eat ice cream or dress up as the opposite gender.

  • @Pinkberrythecat I hope you get run over by a car and die slowly. It's actually a kinder death than you deserve. Keep you ignorant thoughts to yourself. You will never know how hard it is to be a sexual minority, nor what it is like to have people tell you you are wrong about how you feel. It's people with opinions like yours that make nice, loving people commit suicide.

  • @brokensongbrokensoul

Actually how I would like to die is be on a cliff with a gun pointed to my head and then at a loved one and me saying "I'll go! I'LL GO!!!" And then I'll jump off and hit millions of jaded rocks being ripped apart and hopefully my flesh recycled by being eating by sharks.

Or else it would be cool to get killed by a shark alone... being hit a car really ain't that cool or exciting but feeling parts of your body being ripped off is SWEEEET!!!!

  • And yes, I never said I hated transies... I just don't like it when people aren't themselves.

I don't like seing girls go around in minies and getting drunk and taken advadtage of.

I don't like people taken drugs or smoking simply because of peer pressure.

And I don't like people who can't accept themselves for what God made them to be

So maybe I should die for this.

    Maybe I should.

But I always accept people for what they are deep down and never think that anyone is messed up for what they do

  • And plus I'm kinda a troll... in other words, I just write what I want... sometimes just to piss people off...

But it got you now didn't it???

Sticks and Stones will hurt my bones but words shall never harm me.

Lie... but I'm a stranger and it's easy for people to hate what I do and think I'm messed up but sometimes when I look around I see others (who people consider normal) are really the bad ones... For I would never go out of my way to hurt a fellow human being... never ever call names

  • @brokensongbrokensoul

    Oh, and FYI, I'm bi.

And being a sexual minority? Who gives a Eff of what others think.

What I say isn't gonna kill anyone unless they are this harmful to words.

And if you are this afraid of what people think than maybe this isn't really you.

I do what I want and as long as it doesn't hurt others than so be it.

Transies don't hurt me so let them be transies... I can choose who I associate with.

Peace... though you'll probably see it as some other kind of emotion

  • my fav rock musical of all time... :D

  • does anyone now where I can watch this?

  • I want to see this so bad!

  • i feel the same way lollidolli but i'm only 13 saw about when i was 7 or 8 and only two of my other friends have seen it. i also saw rocky horror when i was almost 6. best movies ever!

  • I am an old person at heart, but thanks to movie central I got to see this movie when I was 8 and i was just amazed by it. All the kids movies didnt compare to it! I'm 17 now, and my friends grew up under a rock. They dont know about Rocky, Hedwig, Myserious Skin, Party Monster, To Wong Foo, Priscilla, and others slipping my mind now-but I just wish I knew someone I could talk to about these films. Gah! I feel so OLD! Before I die: I want to play Hedwig at least once. Anyone else feel the same?

  • @TheLolliDolli i feel the same :(

  • @TheLolliDolli Have you see Velvet Goldmine? <3

  • @TheLolliDolli i love all those films. kinda got sick of rocky horror years ago, cause of all the super nerds into it. haha. but gregg araki who did mysterious skin has been one of my fav. directors for forever, he has been one of the premiere alternative bi directors for so long, with films like totally fucked up, the living end, doom generation, nowhere, and his new one kaboom.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheLolliDolli those films are amazing :)

  • lmao, the people who have come upon me, best line ever, michael pitt+goth =god

  • me enncannto ezta pelicula!!

  • best movie ever.

  • i used to watch this movie all the time when I was eight years old with my best friend and her dad.Its such a wonderful film and I had almost completely forgot about it! As a little kid this movie fascinated me because it was so out of the realm of what the typical child watches.Although i did not understand a lot of it being allowed to watch these types of films at such a young age as made me a very open minded and also strange person.haha

  • @lauramxwell

    same...

    thats what happened to me

    except it was rocky horror

im really glad that i was exposed to such things at a young age

without it i shudder to think of the small mindedness i may posess...

  • May just be the 2000s answer to "rocky horror"! I got to see this!

  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch manages to tell an engaging story....watch this movie with great quality at

    EasyMediaClick (dot) com

  • omg is jack white in this? or does it just look like him at 0:47?

  • @katiekoco naw, fooled me too. and i just got done watching "It might get Loud" ( if you know not of which i speak, google that title, all will be revealed) anyway, I believe that actor we see there, who, yes, looks a lot like Jack White, 's name is, Michael Pitt. i've seen him in a ton of stuff. usually plays a creepy type character. disturbed Rapist, or Murderer, or just "Icy" role.

  • wow, thanks for the info! and i love "it might get loud"! glad im not the only one seeing double

  • @katiekoco

No, that's Micheal Pitt! Isn't he sexy??! LoL!

  • This movie was quite good. Fucking weird, though, but I guess that's what made it so good. It's refusal to accept the norm in movies and carve its own path.

  • Hedwig will go down in history as the only note worthy original work of the early 2000's. It is a masterpiece power house offering of standout screenplay, music, lyric writing, and actor musician performance, costume, casting, choreography. Bravo John Cameron Mitchell ! You Fucking Rock!

  • I have wanted to see this for so long... my video store keeps messing up the disks, or they're checked out so I finally bought it. :3 Now, just need to wait for it to ship.

  • YOU DON'T PUT A BRA IN A DRYER; IT WARPS!

Any other KH fans thinking of Vexen there? BAHAHAH~

  • @Satantransvertdeath I Am Gay! get it? I like penis? Je Suis Homosexual?

  • @TheCherryBomber1

So... then I dont understand your comment.

  • @Satantransvertdeath haha, I didn't mean 'get gay' as in getting gay was a bad thing. I think it's rather homophobic that you automatically thought that getting gay was meant to be a bad thing.

  • @TheCherryBomber1

Well... I'm sorry, it's just that I didnt see any other reason for your comment. Like... I didnt need to get gay to enjoy it.

  • @Satantransvertdeath it was a joke.

  • @EatAmerica

    hahaha

this is actually exactly how I experienced it! I'd be like: "fuck ,it's so profound!"

  • i love Hedwig!!!!!!!!!!these movie is very strong and makes me cry.

is old the inglish i wrtie jaja

    bye

    kissssssssssssssssssssssssssisssssss

  • I never knew you didn't put bras in dryers...hm. <--male

  • this movie has so much hidden meaning. Its sad it makes me cry :'( I love Hedwig

  • If your mind is little and fragile, then why did you watch an R-Rated movie? 0_0

  • Not only should this movie have won some awards the soundtrack may actually be much better than the movie itself, if the two can even be separated.

  • some of the best one liners are in the movie. EG., "one day in the late mid eighties when i was in my early late twenties...i was a a university writing on the influence of german philosophy on rock and roll entitled, "you Kant get what you want" Hilarious!

  • Best movie ever !!!!

  • brilliant film. it s gone straight to my favourite films list, which i keep in my breast pocket :]

  • ares

  • i love this film saund track i have a cd of this saund track but i never sow the film ;[

  • Best movie ever !!!!

  • Hedwig. You know what? I wish she was real. Really I do! And I never felt this for a fiction character. If she was real she would be loved for so much people and and and.... I would be her friend *.*!!

But I want John Cameron below that wig =P, no one can have the Hedwig essence but him xD

Now seriously, I completely agree with dogundroppa, because is a movie who shows how human we are. And at least, what are we doind on earth but allways looking for our other half, as Hedwig does? =)

  • The movie is very much a rock musical, and is very dense. The reason people are saying they've watched it a few times is because it really /requires/ a few watchings.

Beautiful songs, a few powerful messages if you want to look for them, but there's nothing cheaply served up to you cafeteria-style.

This film fills an empty place in your heart you never knew you had.

  • i love this movie. but i hate the way how kids my age dont appreciate it because hedwig is not considered the norm in the media view. some people are so immature sometimes i guess. People i think need to open their mind more and experience art instead of going to watch those shitty ass movies with no taste that only tell dick and fart jokes. Hedwig is one of my favorite movies of all time. but i guess im just one of the few who at a relatively younger age and generation can apreciate this movie.

  • I definitely, definitely agree.

  • I know! I also Love Hedwig.

  • great movie - loved this for years, and some of the key songs are just beauitful / funny / cheesy - Great film to watch for those that aint!

  • I love the movie

  • I love this beautiful movie ~<3

  • I once watched this movie everyday for about 2 months straight.. >_> .. I think I was a little obsessed.. xD. it's an AWESOME movie. one of my top 3 favorites. :D
