Then during half time, David should do some of his Solo stuff. Then out nowhere,They start in with," I can't drive 55.Sammy Haggar comes out and Van Halen does the second half and does all the hits he had with them. That would be the definitive Van Halen concert.

I recently saw Eddie toss his monitor off the stage in protest to the soundman. This could explain the problem with the sound he was experiencing. You must admire the man for what he's accomplished. Now that he's in his 50's it's easy to understand what he's going through. I'm going through the same thing at 52.

There are two reasons why Dave won;t sing Va Hagar stuff:
- He doesn't need to.
- He can't.
Van Halen V.had the better songs, but Hagar is a better singer.Roth's improved loads compared to just a few years ago, and he always seems to pull off a decent vocal for Jump.
As for Wolgang, people should give the kid a break. He's the bassist for Van Halen, so learn to like it. People were won over by Hagar, so why not Wolfgang?

i love van halen and eddie's playing.. but honestly this version sucks.. ok he's human, he's not a machine so he is allowed to fail from tiem to time. did he break some string? did his guitar strap get loose? why did hew play the solo seated?

While I know of the version where they really stuffed up with the backing track.
But this version *might* sound wierd because the studio version is in C, and Live Right Here Right Now is in D. Maybe someones playing the wrong version?

against all odds, it has a nice spirit to it. But Eddie's playing his solo sitting down? still missing evenings on the sofa with his exwife, noodling on his guitar while watching tv? and he sounded like he was in a different key.

I actually got a bag full of their confetti. It was from their concert in Little Rock. I took a whole bunch of confetti after the show. Yeah. I'm a music geek!!

I recently saw Eddie toss his monitor off the stage in protest to the soundman. This could explain the problem with the sound he was experiencing. You must admire the man for what he's accomplished. Now that he's in his 50's it's easy to understand what he's going through. I'm going through the same thing at 52.
Great memories go along way.
Quit smoking and drinking. Start eating well, taking vitamins and going for daily walks really helps ease the aging issue.

Hot Damn its good to hear them again. I was one pissed off dude when they broke up. Alittle rusty (don't get me wrong time plays dirty tricks on us), but the come back trail looks good to me. I saw them in 1980. Damn what a band!

Eddie might have just broken a string, which with a floating bridge would totally throw everything outta tune. either way i sorta like him junking it out! it sounds raw, for a song that we've all heard a million times... nice to hear it loose and gnarly.

he didnt break a string.
the recording they used to play back the synth is accidentally run at 48K instead of 44.1K:)
so no matter how he tried to tune his guitar he could never get the same key.

There are two reasons why Dave won;t sing Va Hagar stuff:
- He doesn't need to.
- He can't.
Van Halen V.had the better songs, but Hagar is a better singer.Roth's improved loads compared to just a few years ago, and he always seems to pull off a decent vocal for Jump.
As for Wolgang, people should give the kid a break. He's the bassist for Van Halen, so learn to like it. People were won over by Hagar, so why not Wolfgang?

and one more thing eddie. you were pissed at sammy and mikey because they did "van halen the other half" tour. yes you and alex are the 2 halves of van halen "BY NAME".. but sammy and mikey were the other halfs of van halen "BY BAND". c'mon eddie what did you expect mikey to do within the 5 year gap while you were diagnosed with cancer and recovering from divorce, did you expect mikey to sit at home and do nothing?? he wanted to play and play for the fans.. just like you....... grow up eddie!
