did installing the afe intake give you a check engine light? i was thinking about getting that for my '08 328i and read some blogs that it was giving them warnings..
@nomi7319 ironically it did but there were two things wrong the first was the MAF was getting a different reading from the filter so they just reset that, that wasn't a real problem. but then the camshafts were sending metal shavings into the oil pan and causing a whole other mess of problem completely unrelated.
@sidekick257 it will give you a good 8-10 hp it doesnt change the exhaust note so much its more of an induction noise difference it sounds much better and you can tunnel blast it to really get a good noise, we're working on installing a new exhaust system. and i have another video of it on the autobahn but i cant seem to get it to upload..
@sidekick257 welll it looks like they dont have any for the 2011 3 series i would ask a shop before i bought anything that wasn't specific for your car you know? i hope i helped
to install it you just take out the old filter find where to mount the heat shield ( it fits in pre made holes you just have to find them ) and theres a coolant hose i believe that you kinda have to slide over or the housing wont go all the way down. but there are directions that come with it
idk if u did this before hand, but ur not supposed to rev it right after u install it. u should let it idle for 5 mins or so so the ECU can adapt

@nikesb1400 no we didnt but since the new exhaust was installed the ecu has been running the engine to rich so its going to need an upgrade soon
