  • pogs dont get blue chords

  • I can NOT wait to do my husbands cord in 2 weeks! PFC Roe I love & miss you soo much but I am beyond proud of you <3

  • Infantry men are the only ones who get to feel the honor of earning the blue chord.

  • So proud of you Jack! Can't wait to see you graduate in december :) love you brother

  • who gives a damn what its called rope/chord whatever show some damn respect for the men fighting to earn it

  • @countryboy94wi calling it the cord shows the respect its the little things that show the respect for the blue cord i earned mine in 1989. FOLLOW ME

  • @ranger082469 i will be earning mine in late 2012 early 2013

  • going there Feb 21st 2012. can't wait!

  • @Kolt73 Maybe i"ll see you there. Shipping on the same day

  • I got so many goosebumps. My boyfriend is at basic training right now. I can't wait for this day.

  • 11Bravo All The Way!!

  • as far as the infantry chord goes, all 11 and 18 series m.o.s. wear it on their uniform

  • The BLUE CORD is what seperates the real men in the army from the Pougs. I am infantry and i have my blue cord hanging over my review mirror in my car so othe military people know that i went to hell to earn it. I will pass it to my son when i am dead and gone.I also was deployed to Iraq and I show it with dignaty and respect to all my fellow basic trainning friends and infantry men in the ARMY HOOAH.

  • @jgrunt9092 " i have my blue cord hanging over my review mirror in my car" What started that cause it seems we all do JUST what you said lol......

  • cant wait till its my turn!!

  • Aww cONGrats to the people that grad. Makes me so happy but sad that they are putting there lifes on the line for us =(

  • does infantry only get the chord im going as an engineer when i graduate do i also get the chord?

  • @ladiezman914 - yes only Infantry get it (after weeks of hell in training)

  • @jbryant13

wait a sec, i'm a 68W and i'm going to Ft. Benning in 7 days will i get a chord?

  • @kellark12 Nope, only 11b or 11c get to wear the blue chord

  • @kellark12 Nope. Because you aren't infantry your medical. Your main job is medical support. Not combat. Combat for you comes second.

  • @ladiezman914 no you pog. you support the infantry

  • @hoghawk1 id rather be a POG then a GRUNT (personnel other then GRUNT) grunts are normally the first to go so be it not my issue grunts are the pawns they are the first ones out. id rather be anything then a grunt. so yea call me a pog i could give 2 shits you fucking grunt

  • @ladiezman914 Thats why so much pride comes with the Infantry...they know they have it the worste and they accept it because they are the best.

  • @ladiezman914 You sorry excuse for a Soldier....

  • @ladiezman914 no the infantry's color is blue.... they are the only ones who can wear it, nd only when they are in that branch

  • @ladiezman914 engineers get a diff color chord, infantry gets the blue, hence the term turning blue!. im airborn infantry with the 173rd in italy, good luck!

  • Comment removed

  • @ladiezman914 infantry are the only one that i know of that gets a cord bud.... sorry.... i would say reclass into infantry..... but i saw a cuple people try that.... but soft skills cant cope well with it.... sorry bud.... but unless you think your up to the challange.... you wont get a cord.

  • @ladiezman914

Infantry, and I believe ONLY Infantry get a cord.

  • they should play AC DC Shoot to thrill during this graduation

  • 11B!

  • I'm probably going to end up crying during this ceremony. I leave in February.

  • This song does not do justice for the infantry.....

  • Hee Hee Fart Benning!!!

  • getting my blue cord pinned on remains the proudest moment of my fucking life up until this point. still got nearly 4 years left to get even more shit pinned on. great video, really sums up an amazing moment

  • Holy Shit!, @ 2:21, there is a US Army Special Forces Operator. Wearing the green beret.

  • Never was I more proud of my brother then at his infantry graduation. He was always my older brother who took care of me (while beating me up occasionally lol). Anyways he was Delta Company 2-54 (Diablos) and graduated Dec of 07. Went to Korea first, then Iraq, he came back from the war sick though, but he is still proud of having earned his chord and discs. I wanted SO badly to follow his steps into the infantry but I got sick and the Army couldnt take me. It kills me to think how close...

  • my son Kevin graduated from Infranrtry in Ft. Benning on Dec 3rd. God Bless him and the other Men that did. God Bless you all. LOVE you and may GOD BLESS YOU ALL

  • hey the guy at 0:56 has more medals how did he get those?

  • @Pirate1Ranger i am shipping August 17th! see you there haha, FT Benning.

  • The soldier has yet to see battle and he is crying already?

  • @viewmasta its emotional asshat, you don't know what it takes to get that chord and to earn the privilege of calling yourself an infantryman. I am 28 and my brother went into the infantry these guys deserve respect. Wether the man is 18 or 30 they are role models if only for their strength and determination. Continue the fight guys and know that there are people who love and pray for you all. Hail Hail the Infantry!

  • @viewmasta I would cry, too. I leave in February.

  • its not a rope! its a Cord

  • @LANC1982 - well in the Air Force it's called a rope so excuuuuUUUUuuse me. I am retired Air Force (69 - 93) and wore a red ROPE as a student leader.

My son (whose in this video is in the Army Guard INFANTRY) and did a tour in Afghanistan shortly after this. He wears a blue CHORD - there - happy ? Sheesh

  • @jbryant13 in defense of him or her im sure she or he was oblivious to that fact but as an infantrymen my self i am insaulted when asked if its a blue rope so im just saying :)

  • @jbryant13 I am in this video as well and I thank you for posting this video. I have it but haven't seen it since right after graduation. Brings back lots of memories. Thank you and your son and Happy Veterans Day.

  • @jbryant13 im deploying first week of april

  • what is the things u were around your shoulder?

    what does it represent?

  • it's called a rope - it represent that you graduated from infantry school

  • @jbryant13 - blue rope is infantry dood

only the best wear the blue cord

phagit marines wish they could pass the test but caint

  • wow your retarded.

  • how so?

    I asked a question..

  • the ceremony is called turning blue infantry graduation. Hence the BLUE cord....

  • I didn't know that..

No need to be an Ass bout it.

    Thanks for the answer..

  • Im not sexist or anything but are you a female?

  • No.

And no reason for that question.

  • well based on your answers and the absence of common sense I thought you were. my bad

  • @SanDiegoFKNROCKS It's the infantry blue cord, awarded during the Turning Blue Ceremony the day before graduation.

  • @SanDiegoFKNROCKS As Bryant say its the Infantry Cord awarded to all soldiers who Finish Infantry school and graduate. The color blue of the Infantry Cord signifies Honor and Courage that each soldier has shown and will show in combat, Pv2 Seigler

  • @SanDiegoFKNROCKS that they are really 11B NOW OR 11C

  • @FrankCastle2009 11c they got the rifle and mortor badge look closely and you will see the expert and marksmen badges on a few

  • whats that about?

  • theres nothing like wearing that blue cord. 11b

  • ...exactly and there's nothing like leading the way as well.

  • The changes you go through in basic will last your whole life, I'm a little jealous of you guys just starting out. Good luck to you. 11B

  • I turned blue February 87.. at D-5-1 (which is now D-2-54) Infantry Leads the Way.

  • i just graduated benning last month hooah this was sik

  • hey im proud of all the guys in this video and cant wait to call them brothers and sisters us army infantry hooah!!

  • dam iam hella sad i cant do this for my bro who is graduating in a week!=[

  • you are dumb as hell. The 16 weks is simply their first initial training, they then get asigned to their unit and wil train for up to a year before a deployment or if your a Ranger, it totals well over 30 weeks of training not including unit training. Yous just showed your ignorance and stupidity. More Americans die because we have more than TRIPPLE the troops you do, it's simple statistics and probability. You're an ashole duesche.

  • Once again liam stop being a troll

  • Glad to see I wasn't the only family member having difficulties with that damn button

  • what an interesting outfit them hardchargers have

  • I miss the Army, FOLLOW ME!!!!

  • lead the way

  • definitely the best turning blue vid i've seen. go to meps next week! and basic in the summer! any input PLEASE feel free to let me know

  • Can someone explain to me the process of enlistment into infantry regarding "turning blue." Does this ceremony come after BCT or AIT?

  • this blue cord, to an infantryman, is like when a college grad gets his doctorate. it's a feeling that can never be explained. hooah to all infantryman. Follow Me!

  • Gettin' your EIB feels even better!

  • comes after AIT

  • you'll do osut there most likely which means basic and ait all combined. It used to be like 14 weeks i think but anyway yea after bct and ait.

  • The thing is, Im in high school & I would only be able to do splitops reserves and there are no combat MOS in reserves. That being said the only thing I can do that is close to 11b is Combat Engineer. But of course I wont settle for anything less than the Infantry. Thanks for all the replies, hooah

  • Haha ya im a junior right now and i was offered the same split ops thing but i told the recruiter NO id rather just wait and sign up at 18 as 11b infantry with an option 40 contract!! im actually trying to graudate early so pray that i do i cannot wait!!!

  • dont blam u bro!!

  • I did BCT last summer and AIT summer of 09, peice of advice to anyone its better to do the straight from BCT to AIT becuase you may get out of shape and its only that much harder for you. And if you do do split op have a ship date for AIT the day you sign your contract or if you dont have one, dont sign that contract because you may have to wait a while for a ship date.

  • Hey im a split op to. And i go back to ait july 22 (fort benning) how was it harder? and was reception just as gay? pvt estey

  • Great Job to editor of this film and to the SOLDIERS in it! HooAhhh!

  • follow me

  • I head to Benning In two days for BCT+AIT

  • Hahah nice OSUT at Benning, im guessing your a soldier in the U.S. Army Infantry now! Seeing as how you posted this three months ago and osut is about that long. Good Job Bro!
