The BLUE CORD is what seperates the real men in the army from the Pougs. I am infantry and i have my blue cord hanging over my review mirror in my car so othe military people know that i went to hell to earn it. I will pass it to my son when i am dead and gone.I also was deployed to Iraq and I show it with dignaty and respect to all my fellow basic trainning friends and infantry men in the ARMY HOOAH.
@hoghawk1 id rather be a POG then a GRUNT (personnel other then GRUNT) grunts are normally the first to go so be it not my issue grunts are the pawns they are the first ones out. id rather be anything then a grunt. so yea call me a pog i could give 2 shits you fucking grunt
@ladiezman914 engineers get a diff color chord, infantry gets the blue, hence the term turning blue!. im airborn infantry with the 173rd in italy, good luck!
@ladiezman914 infantry are the only one that i know of that gets a cord bud.... sorry.... i would say reclass into infantry..... but i saw a cuple people try that.... but soft skills cant cope well with it.... sorry bud.... but unless you think your up to the challange.... you wont get a cord.
getting my blue cord pinned on remains the proudest moment of my fucking life up until this point. still got nearly 4 years left to get even more shit pinned on. great video, really sums up an amazing moment
Never was I more proud of my brother then at his infantry graduation. He was always my older brother who took care of me (while beating me up occasionally lol). Anyways he was Delta Company 2-54 (Diablos) and graduated Dec of 07. Went to Korea first, then Iraq, he came back from the war sick though, but he is still proud of having earned his chord and discs. I wanted SO badly to follow his steps into the infantry but I got sick and the Army couldnt take me. It kills me to think how close...
my son Kevin graduated from Infranrtry in Ft. Benning on Dec 3rd. God Bless him and the other Men that did. God Bless you all. LOVE you and may GOD BLESS YOU ALL
i turned blue on september 30th 2010. Best day of my life!! the next day october 1st, i graduated from ft. benning! it was the best decision on my life!
@viewmasta its emotional asshat, you don't know what it takes to get that chord and to earn the privilege of calling yourself an infantryman. I am 28 and my brother went into the infantry these guys deserve respect. Wether the man is 18 or 30 they are role models if only for their strength and determination. Continue the fight guys and know that there are people who love and pray for you all. Hail Hail the Infantry!
@LANC1982 - well in the Air Force it's called a rope so excuuuuUUUUuuse me. I am retired Air Force (69 - 93) and wore a red ROPE as a student leader.
My son (whose in this video is in the Army Guard INFANTRY) and did a tour in Afghanistan shortly after this. He wears a blue CHORD - there - happy ? Sheesh
@jbryant13 in defense of him or her im sure she or he was oblivious to that fact but as an infantrymen my self i am insaulted when asked if its a blue rope so im just saying :)
@jbryant13 I am in this video as well and I thank you for posting this video. I have it but haven't seen it since right after graduation. Brings back lots of memories. Thank you and your son and Happy Veterans Day.
My son is there now and NOT getting his mail. I can't wait to see him in May. God bless all our soldiers that live and die so we can enjoy the freedom we so readily take for granted!

@SanDiegoFKNROCKS As Bryant say its the Infantry Cord awarded to all soldiers who Finish Infantry school and graduate. The color blue of the Infantry Cord signifies Honor and Courage that each soldier has shown and will show in combat, Pv2 Seigler

I did BCT last summer and AIT summer of 09, peice of advice to anyone its better to do the straight from BCT to AIT becuase you may get out of shape and its only that much harder for you. And if you do do split op have a ship date for AIT the day you sign your contract or if you dont have one, dont sign that contract because you may have to wait a while for a ship date.
