  • I am So SO happy to hear your Voice, dearest Martha Root! It makes me in tears! I have always wanted to know about you more!

I thank Him for the friends who made it possible for us to hear!!!

  • Can anyone offer a source of reference to who wrote this prayer

  • Dear Kevingd9: The prayer can be found on page 217 of "Star of the West" Volume 15.

    -DrDTroxel

  • Hello Kevingd9 - this prayer is also found in a compilation by Horace Holley (Hand of the Faith) which is called "Baha'i Scriptures." According to the forward of the book, it contains prayers of Abdu'l-Baha and Baha'u'llah.

  • Martha Root, who was a journalist by profession, embarked for South America in July 1920. This was the start of her travels to every part of the globe -- of visits to kings and queens, presidents and

statesmen, to universities and colleges and the eminent figures of the academic world -- with the sole object of making known the name of Bahá'u'lláh...

    H.M. Balyuzi, Abdu'l-Baha p. 445

  • Martha Root was an amazing Baha'i and has been given the distinction of being named one of the 24 Elders mentioned in Revelation.

  • very beautiful!

  • I will view this precious video regularly and remember to cherish Martha Roots example of lifelong selfless devotion.

  • Thank you for sharing this beautiful prayer recited by one of God's most precious handmaidens, Martha Root. I feel blessed for hearing this. Allah'u'Abha!

  • This is so beautiful. Thank you.

  • I cherish it - salt water wells up and throat lumps too. It's almost too hard to watch and listen to. You have artistically brought her back to life. Thank you so much.

  • Beautiful. Thank you! She was also the First Baha'i Teacher to bring the Message of Baha'u'llah in Albania in 1929.

  • And I just had intended to post this link to you! :-)

  • Thank you for sharing this so beautifully presented

  • It is a blessing to hear the voice of the first Baha'i ever to visit Finland (my home) and Estonia (my pioneer post), although it was recorded exactly on the opposite side of the globe.

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you! How wonderful it is to be able to share her voice with my young children.

  • What a bounty to hear her blessed voice, thankyou

  • It is truly a wonderful treasure and bounty to hear the voice of Martha Root reading prayers!
