Left 4 Dead Two puts the zombie series to a brand new level. It is very seriously the most frightening game i have ever played. If you have not downloaded it and tried it yet, go to L4D2dlXcom (replace X with . ). These people possess it for free there!
the campaign for warfare I don't think there was ever or a level that was boring, there was one part when you die 50,000 times to go and have (not spoiling) shot anyway.
MW2: Shooting people is a lot fun in it and that's all I need.
L4D2: More gore and a Katana equals awesome!
AC2: It's overall better than the first part with a cooler character and more possibilities to kill people. Again: awesome!
On the MW2 multiplayer: It's fun. I like how it never really gets boring because you always've got a challenge to make or a level to reach. Running knife guys are an annoyance but it's very satisfying to kill them. Their like special monsters in RPGs, kinda.
haha yeah, I'm all for mindless entertainment. Not that I don't also enjoy productive things, but I think there's a healthy balance (although I bet I'm a lot further over on the mindless side of things).
I work, that's productive enough. Fuck all that productivity! I've got to care about so many things like taxes and paying my car and shit, I want mindless killing in my games!
Not thinking is what I play games for in the first place.
I hired out Modern Warfare 2 from the video store. I have to say I wasn't very impressed. I hated being blinded all the time, I thought the story was really badly told and a good story is important to me. If I wasn't planning on doing a full review I wouldn't have played past the 3rd mission. As the difficulty was increasing but I didn't care enough about the story to wont to keep playing. But I kind of had to in order to get the footage I needed.
-"I thought the story was really badly told and a good story is important to me. If I wasn't planning on doing a full review I wouldn't have played past the 3rd mission"
-
-I thought that COD had a great story. Of course they took realism out of the picture and made it a basically a james bond movie where james is killed every 20 minutes or so, and replaced by another 00 agent, but you really should give it a try. It has some of the most insane missions I have ever seen in a game
Give it a try? I finished it, in just 2 not very long sittings. I kept playing to get the footage I needed for a review but after mission 3 or 4 it was really a chore and not much fun at all. At least not for me.
I thought the idea behind the story was fearly interesting, it was the execution that I felt was bad.
The game wasn't bad but as a story gamer the story didn't engage me, so when the difficulty started getting worse I didn't wont to keep playing.
No, in the US we have a pizza topping called 'Canadian Bacon' and it is just slices of ham and I have no idea why we call it canadian bacon. I remember Tom Green making fun of that once.
I'm thinking about buying an Xbox with my Paganmas/Birthday money. My birthday is in a week and a half.
I haven't played ANY next gen games yet, even though they've been out for years. I've showed extraordinary resilience towards epic video games. I lost my ps2 games when I moved, sometime around 3 years ago, and I haven't played many games outside of an n64 since.
Question, would I need to look up the first Assassin's Creed plot online before I buy the sequel? Just to spare confusion.
The game is very plot oriented; you won't get the full experience of the second game without knowing what happened in the first one. PLUS its a very plot-driven game so a ton of stuff will happen and you'll have no idea what's going on.
I just got Dragon Age Origins not long ago. The story had me gripped solid for a little while, then somehow I just got bored. I think what lost me was the repetitiveness of the fighting, and some serious flaws in the interface. It kind of turned it into just story, no really fun gameplay (even though the voice acting is amazing). Not to mention the trouble getting the downloadable content, holy crap! Haven't played the ones you mentioned here, though Assassin's Creed 2 sounds interesting.
Modern Warfare 2 is good for the multiplayer and the story is ok. I loved Assassin's Creed 2 and thought it surpassed the first game. They fixed a lot of stuff from the first one and the sideo missions are more varied. Plus there is a money system in it too to buy more weapons and armor..
Yeah, I forgot to mention in the video, all of these games I got were for xbox. I used to play CoD 2 in a clan (when I was like 13 lol) but I remember even back in those days how much worse it was for PC online (in terms of cheaters, lag etc).
What the hell happened to the online servers in MW2? It's just full of hackers and boosters. The matchmaking system is also one of the worst I've seen.
I generally prefer the second Assassin's Creed, but the first's setting felt a lot more believable. It's like they were trying too hard in the second, and the whole thing just ends up feeling a little cliché.
And despite being two-dimensional, Altair was a far more interesting character to play than Ezio; mainly because Altair was an elite member of an ancient assassin clan, while Ezio was some womanising Italian who had no excuse for being able to kick as much ass as he evidently could.
MW2's awesome, have it for PC....can't wait for when Assassin's Creed 2 is released for the PC over here..can't stop playing the first (if you haven't noticed I'm a PC gamer, not much of a console gamer). XD
damn this is ooollld everyone is on revelations already lol

hahah "a little far fetched"? the story mode in modern warfare 2 is absolutely ridiculous, not even remotely realistic. But yeah, entertaining.

My personal opinion:
Modern Warfare 2: 9.4 (i will be playing online for a while)
Assassins Creed 2: 9.5 (WAY better than AC1 but now being able to replay memories is a huge disappointment)
Havent played L4D2...
Good review
