For what I use my EEE for, this just takes too long to boot. I have a full laptop for most things so all I really need is web and maybe a few little games. Xandros has instant on and Firefox. Sorted, however bland it may be :)

mine, i have a display problem. Its fine when running on the AC, but when i unplug it, the display goes that dark you cant hardly see it. ! The FN + F4 is at the max, but still way to dark. Any ideas ?

No - it has 1G ram - but it was also installed using ext3 journaling. That increases the slow boot. I have since re-installed using both ext2 or ext4 and the boot up is much faster.

It is a little cramped, but I've gotten used to typing on it, so I don't even notice it anymore.
