  • !!! NICEEEEEEEEEE !!!

  • Can someone tell me where this song is coming from,eg. album? Can't see it on Irish Tour 74 album or DVD

  • @JonasSweden1 look again

  • Rory and Johnny Winter were my favorite Guitar Hero's in the 70's when I was learning to play guitar. Bought every album by these guys. I remember taking a tape of myself atempting to play Bullfrog Blues by Rory to work for my friends to hear about 1974. Some laughed at me and others listened amd were impressed. Been playing professionally for 30+ years now. I laugh all the way to the bank....Ha! Love ya' Rory. You are a bad ass Strat man!

  • best blues guitarist/singer of all time him savoy brown, muddy waters, jonny and edgar winter, and my man b.b it doesnt get better,oh and dont forget allman bros..

  • man o man did he know howda play sheesh

  • Rory a True Blues HERO! 53 grew up listening to him.

  • the real musicians like Rory will last

  • saw him live in new zealand in 1980, and got the poster from the concert too, "Top Priority".

  • I wonder who's gonna replace this magic???

  • it doesn't get any better than this

  • still the greatest!

  • Quel talent !

  • who are the 2 ass holes who dont like this song are they fucking kidding us

  • @bigfuntaz it was justin bieber and lady gaga

  • @vislandblues well they should go fuck them selfs this guy is a fucking god they 3 are nothing and will never be anything

  • a journalist once asked jimmy " what does it feels like to be the best guitarist in the world?"

jimmy said : " dont know man ask rory..."

  • @11gorn11 the hendrix story never happened. it was on the dick cavett show and mr. cavett asked hendrix who he listened to and admired. his response was " this guy out of texas, billy gibbons". the greatest guitar player story has been attributed to several different guitarist. though if it really was rory then i would agree 100%

  • @MrAngrygary Jesus, thank you! It's scary how often a myth/lie gets repeated. And celebrity endorsements are rarely to be trusted. They're usually orchestrated by record labels and utterly redundant. If you've got any feel for the music, you can spot what's 'top shelf': the rest of it is shite.

  • @dermotwalker Well the story that Jimi hendrix would have said Rory was the best guitarplayer he knew is just a myth, so often told by people who red it "somewhere" or heard it "some place" that it started to have its own life, so often told, that too many people believe it. Had nothing to do with recordlabels or what so ever. It is just myth, nothing more, but funny to see how it spread over the world as a "true" story.... ;-)

  • @DirkjeA I didn't claim the Hendrix/Gallagher myth was orchestrated by a recordlabel, I just made an observation about the nature of celebrity endorsements and the marketing tactics of record labels. My point was that celebrity endorsements are inherently unreliable. I'm quite aware the Hendrix/Gallagher endorsement was a myth but maybe someone who didn't already know that from reading all the previous postings, will benefit from your message.

  • @dermotwalker oh, okay i missunderstood. English is not my native language and that was what I thought you meant. sorry

  • @DirkjeA No problem. There's another, slower version of I Wonder Who, recorded in Belfast in '84 that's well worth a look? ww.youtube.com/watch?v=9Iypw6ZPAPo

And this version of shin kicker is a blast. Like somebody playing the chainsaw on acid.

    ww.youtube.com/watch?v=GazzTFxXGeE

  • @dermotwalker Thanx for pointing this out to me. Great version of I Wonder Who indeed. The version of Shinkicker I knew already and I do like it. They do a great job. Have a nice Saterday, greetz from a dutch lady.

  • @DirkjeA Thanks. I'd welcome any recommendations you might have for overlooked versions of his songs.
