This song greatly inspired me when I first heard it years ago, it still does now, and it will for the rest of my life, as I work on inspiring the whole world to be happy, healthy and successful with my own inspirational pop songs. I have created the world's most inspirational website, which you can get to via my YouTube channel.
Very good son. I have it in a 45 rpm record, from 1978. This song sounds greatly and is amongst my favourite ones. If I am not wrong, besides Russel and Hitchcock, the other band members that appear in the video are: Brian Hamilton (bass player), David Moyse (guitar) and Ralph Cooper (drums), because Criston Barker and Rex Go came afterwards. Although they knew Frank Esler-Smith already, if I remember well. Greetings from Mexico to all the followers of Air Supply all over the world.
Nobody can sing high notes with such ease, whether live or studio, like Russell Hitchcock. Some people like them because of the lyrics, but Air Supply was much more than just harmonics and Graham Russell's perennial love talk. I may be wrong, but I always thought the name "Air Supply" referred to the ability of Hitchcock to sustain a powerful high note for so long.
air supply is my first fave group singers. second is Chicago. But lots of memries with their songs remained along with my teen days including the girl whom I admired and became my best friend. sadly, she died last year of liver complications. when i listen to their songs today i still feel the happiness we've shared in those days together. rest her soul.
There's a video of "Every Woman in The World" (I think it's that song)...And at the end, Russell screws up the lip sync and starts laughing. Then he can't get his composure back ...It's fun to watch.
I wish they had stuck with doing songs with catchy melodies like this.
I guess they keep having to try and get radio airplay for their newer stuff, and unfortunately nobody appreciates melodies anymore, but it's a real chore to try and remember the songs in their post-1990 or so CDs, where back in the day you could hear a 1-minute snippet of a new song, and it would stick forever.
Thanks to Arista, Air Supply became very popular, however, early Air Supply before Arista, was all about experimentation. And yes, Graham Russell is the prime write par excellence..
If you listen to the early albums, in order, you can hear growth on each one, and when you get here, to "Life Support", they're near perfection... then comes Lost in Love (Life Support version 2) and away we go! My God they worked their tails off. Wish they would bring some of the early tunes into the shows now... just one or two... Love and Other Bruises for crying out loud!!
They are having so much fun. It's apparent that they enjoy what they are doing. Air Supply was and still is so talented! Russell has such an awesome voice!
look at hitchcoks face, hes finding that funny! These faces come from nothing to sing with you,you are in the middle, you feel happy man!!Russel´s hair got in the eyes of everyone singing! And the mik is so low graham has to get on his knees to sing!
I agree completeyl 100% you "can" have what you say in this world.....great song, if I ever heard it I was so young I don't remember. Thanks a million for posting yeah, gonna play this again for sure, Peace, Lori Aikin
To think that this positive statement, "...understand, you can have what you say.." is the so-called Secret Rhonda Byrne has been preaching... in any case, this song came out before Air Supply became big dammit! WOW!!! They really have what they always wanted, stardom! Magic!
what is with the castles and the ribbons on the guitars? well, if you could describe air supply in only a few words i suppose it would be "sense of humor"...
Wow...this video is classic. It looks like the guys are holding back fits of laughter. Russell is so cute and I love his voice. The video has a 60s look and feel to it. I'm almost expecting to see Austin Powers grrovin' to the music with the guys! Graham is really digging the ribbon on the end of his guitar.
wow!! I just never thought I could waych this video thans so much for share this videos, take care and if you have more post them lol!take care, bye!!

Cool ribbons on those guitars, eh? :)
I have a few of their later CDs, and keep wondering what's keeping them from doing more songs in the same style as "All out of Love".
Sure, "times have changed", but who'd complain if they did a few more of the early 80s-type songs that still help keep them popular now?
I could listen to these catchy old songs one time, and remember them.
tttar 3 years ago
Well, you can't keep asking a band to rewrite their old songs. It's cliche, but times HAVE changed. The artist writes the songs they want.
