nah it was weather related pilot error. They were coming in to land, had real bad fog and didnt know what happened till they started hitting the tree tops.

just like fitting a plane in a hole.. planes don't vaporize, they are not re entering the earths atmosphere at speed. this is a real tragedy and really happened.

There were 8 crewmembers on board, all but one were injured, 2 people were rushed to hospital "in severe condition". Let us hope they will recover.

One day earlier the plane had an abort landing in Domodedovo after the crew had noticed smoke in the cabin. The cause was quickly found and repaired, the plane flew to Egypt and back. It fell several hundred yards from the airport.

Well, it was landing, so - no speed, no altitude, no fuel on board.

United 93 crash site however looked like the airliner had disintegrated at high altitude. This may mean it had been shot down, but maybe it had broken up because of hijackers doing aerobatics.

Depends on the speed and attitude on impact. If a plane is still flying and the rate of descent is under control it is normally survivable if the terrain is not hostile - if the aircraft is not under control or is in a dive the rate of descent would be much higher and it probably would not be survivable - the aircraft would probably discintegrate.
