stood with the good little animals

    ran with the bulls

  • hahaha! that was a pretty clever video, never expected the girl he created that was better than him to create a better man for herself..

  • @AcephalousPoultry jeeeeesssh....way to spoil the ending dude, nice one!!????!!!???? do us all a favour and take this comment down so we can appreciate the art of storytelling, as opposed to end-ruining!!!!

  • @AcephalousPoultry

It's ur opinion on how u interpret the vid. But I don't see the female robot as better then him. I see it as she takes him forgranted, he gives her everything he has 2 make her happy cause he loves her. Even his literal heart, but in the end she used & screwed him over by going with some1 else. Like ppl saying they will leave some1 4 the "next best thing" that doesn't necessarily mean who they moved on 2 is better. Like believing the grass is always greener on the other side.

  • @M3stunt777 that wasn't my interpretation, that is what happened.

  • @AcephalousPoultry

How so? The female robot never created anything in the vid? She did however get cosmetic "improvements" a chest plate like a woman getting fake tit implants or plastic surgery. But that definitely doesn't make her better, that's just an image inhanser. She then clowns the robot that gave her his heart. And goes with another male robot cause love is a lie alot of the time and its not for real. Thats what happened in the vid, and that how life goes so - Love the "LI(f)E".

  • Guys, take a close look to this robot...

    Haven't you seen it before?

    I have....

    I was that robot...

    And some of you too...

  • @thestoryiheard damn u i shouldnt of read ur comment before watching the video as soon as it became too much of art imitating life i was almost moved to tears

  • he is all most to talented

  • He makes his own beats

not a lot of rappers do that

  • @StaleMilk5

Dude.. I'm not loving your LIE.

  • This song and music video pretty much describes the situation I'm in right now. Sage is the type of rapper that I can relate to like no other, I'm in high school and so much of the stuff that he says I can actually feel. Thank god for his music, and helping me get through my tough times.

  • you know it really pisses me off that when watchignt his video i scroll over to "suggestions" off this video and one of them is "miley cyruse Party in the USA" haha

  • Word.

  • dood he is beast.

  • jesus christ. who the fuck was the one who disliked this? REALLY MAN?

  • incredible

  • One of the illest Mcs that may never be known.

  • Sage Francis doesn't even have a picture of his face on wikipedia!

  • Please stop hoping that he becomes more popular. He is reserved for the few who get enlightened when they hear him rhyme.

  • He isn't as popular because, according to our Culture and the Culture our generation has forged, he isn't physically appealing. he isn't "Dreamy". Whatever. Its bullshit.

  • dudes good, better than most of the mainstream artists out there..ha but isnt every underground rapper

  • This is a damn good song

  • Hands down most relevant song ever written, im not gona argue it but its undeniable, watch your mouth smart aleck utubers, sage is watching (oooh) lol

  • ok so i think i tried to cum but i couldnt a convulsion too place in my heart but it wasnt a killer and i forgot every music ive ever known wish i could represent this byself n live differently for now on with you people, dam the robots n shit sage..... cool as an iceberg

  • sage <3

  • @frostyfromthetrench, stop falling alseep on talented hip hop artists, they probably can't sleep while you're on top of them.

  • uffffffffffff sparklehorse!!!

  • SHIT!! I've slept on this guy - Hes fukin awsome!!!

  • super sick video, love the emotion behind it and it really compliments the song well

  • 1:22 robot sex

  • next saturday in manchester :)

  • the end is the best, when the metal man is rebilding.

  • I don't understand how Francis isn't more popular. He has an incredibly accessible sound, he raps extremely clearly, and his music is straddling even more genres than ever.

  • @hojima He is a true artist and not a record created money maker like other untalented hip-hop artist.

    Sage forever!

  • @hojima same reasons why artist like MURS, Saul Williams, and a crapload of other artists dont get exposure. Saul did a song with Nas and had his last albumn produced by Trent Reznor. Its because of the media. Look all the magazines TV, etc that are supposedly represent hip hop. They are more concerned with Drake twitter updates or T.I.'s latest runn in with the law then providing balance coverage.

  • @Sagefrakrobatik Drake needs to be put down, he is a shame to all canadians.

  • @hojima my guess would be the masses see his appearance and automatically switch off and don't listen being in the hip hop genre and all. I saw him in Melbourne 5 years ago. I only went from word of mouth and fuck, I was blown away by his stage presence!

  • @erratictiger I learned about him through word of mouth, never seen him live. on a side note, I've always found it amusing how him and bdolan look like brothers. (shame, sage used to be really good looking and less bearish in the early 2000's)

  • @hojima hes not more popular cause he is honest : (

  • @hojima coz people who like rap normally look for the generic similar sound that is over used where as some of us recognise it as poetry of the future with more going on due to music. Mike Shinoda has came out with my favourite raps so far. sage francis makes me want to stress that 'so far'

First time i heard sage francis, first time i loved sage francis

  • @hojima the first sign of truely liking a song more than everyone else ( from your own manifested perception (along the way of liking it)) is being in denial that no else likes it. Friend, it's a better use of time focusing on your own energy of love toward this long, instead of the infinity of idiots that will never get it.

  • @hojima the first sign of truely liking a song more than everyone else ( from your own manifested perception (along the way of liking it)) is being in denial that no else likes it. Friend, it's a better use of time focusing on your own energy of love toward this long, instead of the infinity of idiots that will never get it. my downthumbs goes against all those who thumbs upped it, feedings into their own ignorance.

  • @hojima Cause he's white.

  • @hojima You're saying it, like if you want to broadcast this artist all over the world. Leave it like this, where very few are interested. It's better - trust.

  • @ericwhithr2007 Fuck that. The more people who hear him the better. Its an insult to him to want to limit his success because theres some chance he might pull a Weezer.

  • @hojima It's like you're talking for him.

Okay well your view is clear, well said.

  • @ericwhithr2007 Sorry for being a bit explosive, I just see so many bands who have fans that don't want more people to hear their music so the band doesn't "sell out"

  • @hojima Some people don't like his opinions, others don't like being challenged by emotional depth. Some people listen to this and think it's too rock, some people think it's too hip-hop. The dislikes add up, but Sage Francis is a totally brilliant artist. Li(f)e is my #1 album of 2010.

  • @hojima because you cant grind asses to his work

  • @hojima Its because the music industry tries to repress anything that resembles real music and instead promotes catchy tunes that will entertain the ignorant masses.

  • @hojima all about promotion, and big labels. forget the uncomfortable truths he speaks of. most people do not like the truth. ignorance is bliss. love the lie....

  • @hojima I know what you mean, but I think that people make way too big a deal about popularity. I would rather he stay under the radar, I've seen way too many artists, especially rap, get popular and then change for the worse.

  • @kyoukilis20 I would rather that he get some fucking money for his hard work. I have enough faith in him that he wouldnt change for the worse. Look at bands like tool. They are huge, but through their whole career they have never compromised in terms of their vision.

  • @kyoukilis20 nonetheless, skill should = fame, ideally. its odd to keep the same old stereotypical sound on top of mainstream, when really it shouldve always been the artists like him, who never bullshit.

  • 'Popularity' in this day and age, at least in terms of hip hop, only comes with redundant synth beats that any 12 year old with a copy of fruity loops can make, coupled with the also redundant, meaningless ramblings of bitter black men.

    I'd rather Sage remain unpopular.

  • @kappy0405 I wouldnt call them bitter black men... its the ramblings of cynical lyric writers that know what the public wants to hear.

  • @hojima It's because he speaks the truth, whereas the only popular thing in mainstream rap is drugs, killing, and fucking...

  • @hojima i think its because he likes it that way...

  • @millianderson Fuck that shit. He wants people to hear and like his music, like any fucking musician. Have you ever made a piece of art? Ever? You want people to see it, to hear it or to read it. Will you sacrifice your dignity or your morals for that? Maybe, hopefully, not, but you still want for people to hear it.

  • ace song and video . going to see this guy in manchester on the 18th of september :)

  • good song but "three sheets to the wind" and "best times" are clearly the best tracks on the album

  • @stokelycarm As is "The Baby Stays". If I had experience in storytelling via picture, I'd direct a video for that myself. It needs one.

  • Like the "The Best Of Times" reference on the billboard ad the beginning ;)

  • Radio-friendly Francis??

  • @TerrorBlack Apparently not. Despite the sound the content still makes it radio enemy.

  • good but I'd rather see Sage face in the videos
