at that time i had 17 in dodge charger wheels , tall tires not my normal 235/50/16 . it shocked a lot of people ; thonk i could have got 13.9 with normal tires . it was a special edition all black ; bumpers & all . got a 80 crown vic ; 2 door . thinking about putting the 460, c6 in it that i have .i like oddball cars .thanks ; blacklacdts !
yea the marauder got a jump ; beat the firebird on the tree ! blowtie boys can`t stand it ; i had a 90 mk7 lincoln that would run 14.0 `s without going inside the engine . external mods cold air . underdrive pullies , electric fan, 19 lb injectors , no convertors ; car came with 3.55 gears . that marauder run 14.87 , fast 4 door blue oval , luxury car !
do you still have the mustang in a suit?(lincoln). 14.0s is good and thats with a 3.55 gear so if you would have did say 4.10s or 4.30s you would have did mid 13's and if you sprayed it mid 12's. you didnt say so im assuming it was still a auto(aod). and the 19lb injectors are stock. thats what you call a HOT ROD LINCOLN!
Sorry, I should have read what you and crownv80 where talking about better before saying that. You were talking about the 19lb injectors being stock and I thought you were talking about a mark8, which had 24lb injectors stock. Sorry, my bad.
@camaro76 they all started from the same line its just the marauder jumped quicker than the firebird. if u ever drove a marauder u sure as hell know as soon as u tap the gas ur flyin.
im a ford guy all da way but diz wasnt a fair race that firedbird is too old
