I remember watching an LP of an RPG, and when it come to the grinding, the LPer said something like "You guys are gonna be bored, so heres something different" and then replaced the footage with Guilty Gear AC fights. It was pretty awesome actually.

When i signed onto myspace i signed a policy saying when I die my pro song goes to my top 1, my about me to my top 2, it's a very thought out process.

As long as we're talking about it, Helloween4545 has an editing style I haven't seen mentioned. He'll only upload a level once he's made it all the way through with live commentary. Then he uploads a separate outtakes video with his deaths, often to music. I think that's a pretty fair way of doing it as well.

I can't watch an LP that I know is pre-recorded... no matter how good the LPer is. The very essence of LP's to me is live action responses. Edit the long walks all you want but just dont LP "Captain Bland's Monotonous Adventure Through Samey Town" if you don't have the commenting ability to make it bearable.

Proper editing and off-screening can make an unwatchable LP into something almost entertaining.

The reason Cypheron has so many subscribers is because he is the best LP'er out there closely followed by Xthemusic and then you Cypheron. Never watched any of REgal's LP's

Yeah, the FF7 walkthrough in question had the vast majority of the boring nonsense cut out, along with the majority of the random battles (aside from the first time fighting something).

That's why I decided against doing something like Knights of the Old Republic, though, for one thing I don't know how to edit worth a damn, for another, it would just be absurdly long because you don't even do much grinding in that game.

Resobaso is like my favorite walkthrough artist...and he didnt show his training vids and he didnt start showing battles till like part 40 in FF8 but in FF7 now he shows em all and bonus stuff like where ta get summons and weapons and in FF8 GF's and weapon mags and stuff...
