  • Hello, fans of Terry Pratchett!

I begin to write symphonic music. I knew about him from screen version of his first Discworld`s novel "The colour of magic". Since then I had read half of his books. I didn`t remain indifferent and wrote the number of symphonic suite "Images" - Absurd Discworld.

I suggest your attention the video with my music on my channel ra2006ra "Pratchett" or h+t+t+p+:+/+/+w+w+w+.+youtube.com/watch?v=6NbM0faHptk (delete all "+").

  • God, it's so brutal that you're expected to take this as a literal hint. Sort of like the "Did anyone get the number of that donkey cart?" thing.

Easily the hardest Adventure game I've ever played in my life, even revisiting it as an adult. Old Sierra games may have had a lot of ways to die but none of them were quite so unforgiving in the puzzle department as Discworld.

  • Has anyone actually finished this game without the strategy guide? Its impossible! LMAO

Brilliant though. I remember every solution in the strategy guide.

  • "I've got 21, and some spare cards too"

    Oh lord haha.

  • @DeASplode Blast, you've cleaned me out!

  • @GAF1987 Let's go kill some butterflies!

  • Is this a comp game?

  • Are you sure we're all playing the same game here?

  • I've not seen this! What on earth!

    Must find!

  • so is this light fantastic or something?

  • @carpathianforrest More like Guards! Guards! minus Vimes plus Rincewind

  • hehe 4 horsemen of the apocalypse :D

  • Naaaaaaah. One horseman and three pedestrians of the apocRalypse :)

  • ooooo XD

  • No he wasent

  • yeah, i'm pretty sure famine was a guy in the book 'theif of time'

  • The universe doesn't much care if you step on a butterfly. There are plenty more butterflies.

  • Since when was Famine a girl?

I wonder what would happen if I killed a butterfly...

  • it wasnt exactly said anywhere is it? only that War was married to a woman in Thief of Time?

  • Paul Kidby portrays Famine as a man... or at least, not a girl, 'cause he's not really a person. He's freaky-looking, the way Paul draws him. I love it.

  • This is fun, because philosophers says that if you travel back in time and kill a butterfly, it could alter the future. It could be that death talks about when he talks about "circumstances" leading to his incapability of killing the man...

  • Actualy i belive hes refering to the chaos theory <_<

When a butterfly flaps its wings it creats a wind which is essentialy power... and Since power never dies the wind (power) just keeps on going and thus we have Hurricanes and such.... Or at least its somthing like that...

  • interesting times!

  • That's not Chaos Theory, it's The Butterfly Effect.

  • The Butterfly Effect?

  • @thosegaysailors that's right

  • actually it might be because rincewind goes back in time and drops a cress sandwich in the primordial goo :P

  • that doesnt work

  • that doesnt work. that doesnt work. that doesnt work. that doesnt work. that doesnt work. that doesnt work aaaaggghh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Whats this simon the sorcerer?

  • Discworld, based on the books by Terri Pratchet

  • would be cool if they made another one, number 1 was impossible but a few cheats sorted that out, number 2 i actually did myself and had to cheat a few time with noir

  • They are the riders of the apocolypse

  • as I think war said when war, pestlince and famine lost their horses, their "the 3 pedestrians and 1 rider of the apocylypse" (one of the quotes in wikipedia)

  • lets go kill some butterflies

  • @111eee222 Thats two no trumps!

  • good

  • For the person who wondered who Famine's voice was, it's not Jane Leeves, it's Kate Robbins.

  • where can i get the game with full sound and the abilitie to ACTUALY SAVE!

  • I loved the 2nd game, I'll start the 1st one. noir is awesome. a sequel to come?

  • discworld is such a cool game.

  • Splinter, you are one of the wisest.. THE GAME KIKS ASS! But sound dont owrk on mine no mre whgich dont make it as fun *Cries*

  • i'm trying to find DW2, its hard to find.

Its such a loooooooonnnnnggggg game tho

  • Ahhh the wonders of L-Space!!

  • I never thought of famine as a woman

  • Really? The idea of Famine as an anorexic model makes so much sense to me...

  • touche

  • Is the woman Jane Leeves?

  • Since my computer grashed I've been sad I can't play many games on my laptop(which I use for stuff instead of my big old pc) but I was delighted when I convinced my stepdad to get the ol' Discworld games on it for me (I'm not goo with technolgy...)

  • is that mort with the blonde hair next to death?

  • Mort?

Lol, from Death's left: War, Famine and *Pestilance*

    Not Mort..

  • Wow..i've never seen this segment..and I've beat the game a few times. How do you make it appear?

  • It's found if you try to take the dragon-book from the library during scene 1 and taking it through L-Space. Since you are basically trying to alter time in such a weird way, they decided to simply not allow you to do it, so they block your way with this scene and you're forced back through L-Space and the book is automatically returned to its place.

  • lmao

    Death pwns

  • that was funny can you find some more Discworld clips?

  • Sure, I'll try and get some time to get more Death\Discworld scenes.

  • cool

  • That's pretty damned funny.
