  • I wish I could make music half as awesome as this!

  • @LDUKMusic I've listened to all of your and you are just as good! <3

  • @Guuxo :O :D Aww thank you very much! ♥

  • Anyone have the remixed version of this? I heard a track once which claimed to be a sherbet head remix but never been able to find it again. It was vastly different to this so might have been erroneously named.

  • @Scode1983 possibly.. look for Sherbert Head (800x slower) ? Hope that helps.

  • let me rephrase that... have you seen the sherbet head while sober?

  • have you seen the sherbet head?...

  • you can just feel the nostalgia

  • I can hear sneakers screeching on the hardwood court as my gym teacher shouts " Come on!" @ 2:00. as I walk out of the locker up the stairs. Late for class.

  • Where can I find these pictures? Esp. the one at 1:26

  • You don't need Music to get lost in drugs.

  • @Hugo411 You sir, and wildmandan, remind me of the perfect math equation. But I have to specify in literature terms so I'm gonna say, The simpler the sentence that has the most impact is usually correct" Kind of like E = MC²

  • @Gdunn585

     you are just lost.

  • @Gdunn585

    E = MC² isn't a sentence, it's an equation.

  • @DarkenIsGod Thats why if you read, it says remind me of the perfect math EQUASION. I know I said sentence afterwards but that was cuz I fucked up

  • @Gdunn585 You sound like someone who is trying to be smart, but just doesn't know how to.

  • @BaRRicade120 Yea..... Sorry for being too complex... wait it wasn't.. I wish I was smart.... Listen to the music... stop talking...

  • @Hugo411 You just have to be a complete dumbass.

  • All time favorite BoC track.

  • I use to drop downers, now I drop BOC.

  • Weed is my best friend and Boards Of canada is my ticket to take a trip ;)

  • This song evokes me how burned we get from our past experiences, the kind of decay those bad times bring us to our mind in the present like burning acid... the bass line is the unstoppable pass of time that even though we can live a second in a lifetime, also a sencond can have repercussions on a lifetime . Time goes on, live goes on. GENIUS song, and I find disturbing the skewed voices int he background. This song I think it's probably one of the brightest jewels of BoC.

  • So mad.

  • @TheDatalus You're a fucking idiot

  • It's short and pretty much like ambient, but I like it, i don't know why...

  • Like anything in life, this can only be made better with drugs. UNLESS you're shrooming way too hard, then... well... just don't.

  • you don't NOT need drugs to get lost in the music.

  • Reminds me of going to Church when I was a kid back in the 70's. I like the way the bass creeps up, soulful. B.eware O.f A.stral R.esonance D.imensional S.ystematic O.scillating F.requencies Canada.

  • Reminds me of going to Church when I was a kid back in the 70's. I like the way the bass creeps up, soulful.

  • this is far out man

  • it feels good in my brain

  • this music Feels so gooodddd!

  • i get the strange feeling of someone digging a spoon into my brains when i listen to this

  • can anybody tell me what the 2nd to last painting is?

  • @wufuhimself "Penultimate"

  • You don't need drugs to get lost in music.

  • Comment removed

  • @WildManDan15 yes you do...

  • @WildManDan15 but you need music to get lost in drugs ;)

  • @WildManDan15 drugs sucks

  • @WildManDan15 Weed helps tho

  • @WildManDan15

    But it helps.

  • anyone hear "Tycho - Cascade" in the background??

i could swear that's playing right now....

  • @bigkevin182 i feel yah... cascade is one of my favorite songs... and it sounds like it... but i doubt it

  • power up

  • I cannot believe a few months ago I couldn't stand hearing these guys' names, and now I'm damn near obsessed with them.

  • this is a good one

  • It feels like getting stuck in a repetitive cycle and trying to radio to the outside universe to return home... where you belong not in an industrialized happiness of peace.... random just saying

  • >RELICT UPON YOUR OWN DEATHS Children of the Flowers bloomed.

    Eternal Nightmares... sleep in peace.

  • @EcksBawks :)

  • This calms me down so much.

  • Enough debating.. enjoy the song stonned or sober, it's always good!

  • @PaintTrains yup, music enhances effects of weed not the other way

  • Painting of the eye is from Magritte. Belgian painter.

  • If you get Boc music your on the right path.

  • If you like Boards of Canada, Helios, Hammock, Eluvium, Goldmund, Sigur Ros, The Album Leaf, and similar artists, you may like my stuff. I'd love some support! :)

  • what is the painting/picture at around 2:00 called?

  • i listen to this album when i do my math homework. it helps me concentrate.

  • the bass is so amazing in this song, with its very subtle pitch warping it like propels the song along and melts into everything in the world, amazing

  • Comment removed

  • Good, but way too much of the same drone sound for me.

  • Desde que escuche a Board me di cuenta que es la banda sonora de mis sueños y de mis fantasias, tal vez ahi mismo los habia escuchado antes, hoy es muy satisfactoria poder escucharlos.... Since I ear for the first time the escelene mucic of Board fo Canada i fell that I've been ear it before, but in my dream, they are lioke the soundtrack of my dreams and fantasies it's very great for me lisening this band...

  • I don't like this one as much as the others; it reminds me of tides going up and down on a black and white shoreline, kind of a sad scene for me.. i like it when boards of canada makes me feel like i am floating through clouds of cotton candy :D

  • Sometimes I start lol'ing for some reason when I listen to this track.

  • So glad i found this page. It's a shrine !

  • beautiful comment above...i think we all feel this way...some more intensely because we are very alive... like nerve endings with huge radars picking up all the signals...

  • @Dinosawr16

That's because Boards of Canada is an electronic act, and doesn't really fit the category of 'band', or feature any of that singing stuff which goes on in other genres.

  • Life is not more as the fantasy of a human child. Its a bad feeling to know that life got no special reason.it is how it is...not more and not less...the existing, exist because it never exist before...and i think, the real life isnt the life we have every day...the real life are our dreams...those we are dreaming every day. sry for my bad english ^^

  • This track reminds me of the airshow at the aviation museum where I used to go as a child and see the airplanes and watch the documentaries with their old, crispy sounding synths and horns

  • If everybody would listen to BoC, Eart will turn to Moon.

Boards of Canada, grey prophets of lunar peace.

  • 0:31 -Makes sense that All the humans are all 100% dead on earth

& the only thing left is their ongoing ghost radio signals, that's the message this -This vid gives us all perfectly.

a nice spooky 50's story. - Nobody left but ghost-radio number stations.*'

  • Elated to the fact that I got the chance to participate in this function-life.

  • One of my less favorite BoC songs, but still a really great song.

  • @Dinosawr16 its a style of music you have to get used to... if you can get past its apparent strangeness the doors of enlightenment may just open for you :)

  • This needs to be longer! Greatness.

  • This just doesn't do it for me.

I'll just stick to Deadmau5 for a "natural high" he's Canadaian too.

  • @SystematicSequence

boards of canada are from Scotland.

i like deadmau5 as much as the next guy, but BoC>deadmau5 in the songwriting category.

  • @SystematicSequence if it's not yer thing that's fine. but it's absolutely not even a little bit similar to deadmau5. apples and oranges man.

  • @jhodge12 : Indeed, deadmau5 is more drum & bass, BOC is more ambient, and more uniqueness.

It is way more calming then deadmau5, BOC makes you space out, just because of the music.

It takes you away man, it takes you away.

  • @XCookiesXxx deadmau5 is most certainly not drum & bass

  • @liamjd1: Ok then that's my bad.

But still BOC is more ambient, more relaxing, from my point of vieuw.

Don;t get me wrong, I like Deadmau5 too, but BOC just a little better.

  • @XCookiesXxx Comparing Deadmau5 to BoC is like comparing a motorcycle to an apple. Both are respected in their fields, however they cater to different audiences and evoke different moods.

  • @dannysrlyblck : I did not compare the two.

  • The last picture depicts the Hindu god Vishnu in his Narasimha (man-lion) incarnation killing the demon king Hiranyakashipu. Read the whole story here: sites.google.com/site/vishnureincarnated/narasimha

  • this makes me think of a view of earth from space

  • It's awesome that although Campfire Headphase was more "from this world" than the previous albums, they still threw in a Geogaddi-styled track like this one on. Not that anything's wrong with TCFHP though. Dayvan Cowboy is awesome.

  • 2:00 the titz

  • Sounds like a recording of some guys cruising on their skateboards down the street.

  • sounds like a recording directly from the subconscious mind...hypnagogic artifacts from long ago

  • acid

  • I don't know what emotion to feel from this song. I feel happy yet, I feel lost in time.

  • omg sooo gooodd :] i have definitely been to this dimension before

  • In his book PiHKAL, the scientist Alexander Shulgin writes about how his childlike way of seeing and feeling the world became obscured as he grew older until he had forgotten about it. But when he took mescaline, somehow it unlocked something, and everything came back to him. It wasn't really lost. BoC music is one of the few things that reminds me of those states, vaguely but just enough that I can hope to rediscover them some day.

  • BEST NOISE IVE EVER HEARD

  • whats the pic at 2.06 onwards till end ??????

  • the guy in the beginning sounds like he's saying my nickname, gissi, gissi!

  • @pinkthunderwonder

Im pretty sure its something about pussy haha..

  • @TheSoundAbyss lol really? xD

  • this reminds me of myself

  • The 1st one is An Usher Painting.

  • @Bloodwolf4747 mc esher i think

  • @Bloodwolf4747 think its mc esher. does some lovelly trippy optical illusions

  • The first pic of a fortress from above is the front cover of a book called 'The mastership game' about a secret society who try to covertly control the world with an intellectual elite.........

  • Peaceful Stimulus

  • This is a radio station of the spirit world.

  • I love the painting of the eye. Whos work is that?

  • @dudebubguy magritte

  • @alexrush55

    Looks very Salvador-Dali-ish

  • @dudebubguy That is the work of M.C.Esher, the first image, he is a legend, Dutch, surreal and mathematical. Peace.

  • Whenever I listen to this song I truly feel as if my brain is made of ice cream and someones scooping some out for me...

... does anyone else have this reaction? lol XD

  • mc escher ther?

  • @dachewth Medical ones;/

  • this shit is deep.

  • bottles and empty cans.

  • love this tune

  • Soothing sound the falling rain.

  • is this music?

  • @RSCmovies i wouldn't call it music has such, its like music with a nostalgic emotion connections to its listeners

  • @RSCmovies It's better than music.

  • I just think if your high your mind is more open to imagination and creativity regarding music leading to thoughts, because a song like this, for some reason, speaks a million words. only to those who understand.

  • I just want to add, that some of the comments below this vid are damn mind bending epic. I've never seen so many to the point interpretations, theories, in such a small space.

I have to write some of these down, pure art in words.

  • By the time it came to the edge of the forest the stream had grown up, so that it was almost a river, and, being grown-up, it did not run and jump and sparkle along as it used to do when it was younger, but moved more slowly. For it knew now where it was going, and it said to itself, "There is no hurry. We shall get there some day."

  • less school...more drugs

  • learn to learn

  • i'm allways afraid of the moment when the bass comes in; I can never tell and so it shocks me every time!

  • Boards of Canada changes lives.

  • i just want to die when i listen to boards of canada... i just want eternal bliss. i know my life is supposed to be better than this

  • I know, more than any other music BoC makes me feel like I'm completely missing out on a meaningful life. Each track seems to remind me of a particular feeling I must have experienced as a child, but can't remember. I remember things from my early childhood, but not how I felt...and I'm haunted by the thought that life was way more vivid back then and I've lost it forever.

  • When i listen to turquoise hexagon sun i feel like i fell through the cracks and im hearing people at a party from under the floorboards.

  • Yes! BoC injects memories into my mind that aren't my own

  • Or... erm... they are my own memories... more like memories of feelings... distinct emotions from when I was a young child and I seemed to understand the world better then than I do now.

  • @jedwards1211 Very well put....you'r e not alone in thinking that way.

  • @jedwards1211 You stole the words right out of my mouth. Constants Are Changing does that to me the most. There is no other time in a person's life like their childhood; it's a magical (corny, I know, whatever) period of time that most of us unfortunately take for granted.

  • @jedwards1211 my thoughts exactly

  • @jedwards1211 that EXACTLY how i fell listenning to this kind of music..i'd rather call it mixture of ambient sounds forming a melody..:)

i love this kind of music

    so psychedellic

there should be more artists like this

PS: if you like stuff like that and want something a bit darker than that

try out quake 1's soundtrack...pretty stunning imo

  • @jedwards1211 time renders us numb

  • @jedwards1211 same man,

only, here and there, at the most random times... whether im driving, or laying in bed, eating breakfast, or tripping... i get... almost physical/emotional flash backs in regards to how i was feeling at certain points in my childhood. and i dont mean.. happy or sad.. i mean like, feelings that there are no words for in the human vocabulary. very strange sensations indeed.

    but WELL SAID!

  • @jedwards1211 That is very true

  • Great comment.

I don't think its ever lost though, you just have to dig deeper through the layers to find the kid that is always there.

  • @cranialbreather

Is that in response to jedwards' comment?

So true. And through peeling the layers, it seems people stay in touch with and remain true to that kid. Through substances the experience is more temporary.

  • @jedwards1211 Dude....thats deep.

  • @jedwards1211 Oh my God. You've pretty much summed up the sadness and tragedy of my adult life in one beautiful paragraph.

  • @jedwards1211: a life-time in this particular body in not forever.

  • @jedwards1211

i have a similar complex, but im anticipating the things im going to miss.

  • @jedwards1211

holy shit... thats exactly how BoC makes me feel. Your comment sent shivers down my body it hit me so hard.

  • @jedwards1211 hit the nail on head

  • @jedwards1211 best youtube comment ever.

  • @jedwards1211 Excellent comment.

  • @jedwards1211 I feel the same way. I feel haunted every single day with that thought.

  • @jedwards1211 That is totally what the music does for me too! It brings about undetermined childhood feelings ...like staring into a deep puddle on a sunny spring day, or staring out the back seat window of a car, driving down a country road. Life was more vivid then because we were less conditioned and our perceptions and experiences entered our minds unimpeded by the judgement filter we build throught life and hopefully work to dissolve later.

  • we do not live to find a way to live for ever. we live to create something that will live for ever.

  • thats good as we can't live forever, n atm life is boring as shit for me, the hurt locker made me feel this way lol

  • heh heh... M.C. Esher

  • @

    1337jsac

wow man that last line was the most amazing thing ive heard all day, glad some1 think the same way i do.

    amazing music, keep it real

  • I just enjoy the music, plain and simple.

Doesn't matter if I smoke weed or not, those who don't smoke have a bias outlook towards those who do smoke, you're not going to understand where the other person is coming from so bickering over it is pointless.

If you don't like it, don't do it, but don't assume that you're better then someone who smokes, same for the people who smoke though.

We as people will never make it anywhere if this ignorance towards one another persists.

  • @1337jsac Most epic comment.

    :D

  • yea weeds a wierd thing. helps some people like MS patients and teriminally ill cancer patients function does wonder. But for a person like me if i smoke the tinest bit im in my own world, (which is kinda cool) but eventually ill go nuts start hallucinating and wont be able to handle it. Has been quite inspiring for making art for music for me, I can give it that. I just end up psychologyically reverting to the age of 8 and think im in alice and wonderland.

  • @1337jsac Your an example of a human being.

  • @1337jsac

dude, people like you are not what you see everyday

like the other guy said, you are an example of a human being, gotta respect your way of thinking

  • @1337jsac You can HEAR the music if you are using sacred entheogens. :]

  • @1337jsac i learned something from your comment. thankyou.

  • @1337jsac I don't like the idea of any drug while listening to music personally, I just prefer the music as the drug.

  • @1337jsac

    spot on.

  • @1337jsac enough talk! now just hand me over the spliff, will ya!!?

  • @1337jsac That is bullshit logic, that's just like saying people who don't murder have a bias outlook on people that do, oh so now they can't complain about them killing. Dipshit. Maybe it's on a different level but for both it depends what there motives are.

  • let them speak. I reckon its what the comment section is for. BOC is better than any drug I've ever tried.

  • Mate, I feel that any intensive sensitive experiments or mystic experiments are better than drugs. I have started to feel like that after my "narcotic" times.. BOC is really natural music, I mean music close to feelings what people feel in nature. I'm not so good in english, I'm finn :)

  • you can dig boards and do drugs or you can dig boards and live a sober life, either way when you listen to their tracks.. it's just Something else.

  • why are people commenting about drugs on every BoC video? kind of scary... I don't do drugs but I always listen to this. Is this music a gateway drug? seriously folks, try listening to it sober, you might actually learn something from it..

  • I have learned more from this music on one acid trip than I have ever listening to it sober. If you want to know all the secrets send me a message ill do my best to explain them. This music was made for acid by acid. That's a fact. I can show you. =D

  • ... I smell trolls...
