With regards to American cars: yeah I know they have a lot of power, cos that's practically all Americans do to the cars they make (with some exceptions).
Japanese cars are very well balanced and with a skillful driver will easily beat an American muscle regardless of power (we're not taking a drag race here, that doesn't tell us anything we don't already know). European fall somewhere in the middle and (tend to be) very well styled.
BTW yes drifting does take a HUGE amount of skill.

american sports cars are great for drifting too even though they cant corner worth a shit under normal conditions (actualy, GTOs handle well) when it comes to drifting, american muscle does well. what sucks about american muscle's handeling is that the tail comes out so easy without the proper setup, but in drifting thats exactley what you want. also the torque helps alot if you hate e brakes, i can tell you from expierience.

And you also need a good engine, turbo, suspension kits, transmission set, brakes, and tons of other tunings for good drifting!

Anhaedra whats the point of racing? All it does is fuck up your engine ... Its about how good you do it, you want to be the best at what you do, I mean who doesn't. Drifting good sure as hell ain't easy. Grip driving sure as hell ain't either. But it all requires a lot of cash to do it. You decide, Engine money or Tyre money.

Bring whatever american car highly modified, and put it against a highly modified skyline on a dragstrip and see who wins? bring whatever japanese car with a four cylinder engine and bring a big ass v8 on a circuit and see who out run who, most likely the japanese cars are gonna whoop some ass , now nascar thats too boring

I hate nascar by the way, and i love the skylines. you keep getting it wrong, i like both japenese and american cars, the mustang just happens to be my favorite. my second is the 240sx actualy. the only thing i have against the mustang is its solid rear axle. every car has its advantage and disadvantage and i consider 4 cylinders a disadvantage as much as i consider a solid axle to be. a 4 cylinder and 8 cylinder with the same amount of boost, the 8 wins. that torque makes a big difference

I thought you just said that an engine can be modified man, didn't you?, "just like an engine, handling can also be modified. some better than others, but the same goes for engines." so why clown on a 4 cylinder engine? freaking corollas beat GTO's man , some american cars are cool an all, but they only go straight on a drag strip or around in circles which i find to be pretty boring it's just my personal opinion but if you like to see the same exact crap every time good for you man, LOL

american sports cars are great for drifting too even though they cant corner worth a shit under normal conditions (actualy, GTOs handle well) when it comes to drifting, american muscle does well. what sucks about american muscle's handeling is that the tail comes out so easy without the proper setup, but in drifting thats exactley what you want. also the torque helps alot if you hate e brakes, i can tell you from expierience.
