  • Very good movie!

  • Merci pour commentaire.

Votre film est très splendide, aussi !!

  • Please see my upload of 1950s old photos of Yamato river with Koya Line Train running over the bridge. The river was very clean that time and the river bank did NOT have any concrete after the railway bridge. Those trains were made by General Electric, USA, around end of 1930s to 1940s because I read the dates printed on the side when I was small.

  • It was nice back in 50s and 60s as I used to catch Funa, Zarigani, sometimes Koi and even Ayu. There was a person used to catch Unagi near under the north end of radilroad bridge and he used to use electrified device to shock them in the water. Also they used to catch Namazu, the catfish. Lots of frogs were there too.

That time, they did NOT have concrete protective wall on north side to Hanwa Line, I think they built it early 60s.

  • I think that it becomes impossible to take Ayu and Unagi now. The quality of the river water might worsened to the cause. However, Funa and big Koi can be taken.

I lived in Oriono only for a little while. It is grandmother's house. It moved to Sakai afterwards.

I cannot speak English. (Easy English can be understood.)

I understand the meaning of the message from you with the translation machine. And, it replies.

  • Thank you for your reply. I was born there and lived until 1966, also brings me a lots of memories with that river I used to go and catch all kinds of fish.

  • Hello.

A big fish can be caught in Yamatogawa now.

And, scenery just like 40 years ago can be seen.

Even if you return now, it might not lose your way.

  • This is the Nankai Koya line and I used to live near the Abikomae Station and Yamato Gawa for over 12 years and it is very nice that you uploaded. The river looks much cleaner than used to be back in 1950s and 1960s, lots of bushes I see.

Keep uploading MORE in the future.

  • Thank you for the comment.

I also lived near the abikomae station about 1970. Because I also saw this movie, childhood was recalled.

I will upload new movie in the future.

    Thank you.
