Do not buy this game. It's exactly the same as Virtua Tennis 3 except for a few additional mini-game features.

Plus most importantly, you will spend 33-40% of your game time waiting for instant replays to be over.

This coming from a gamer who lodged easily 200+ hours a piece on VT 3 & 1, and probably 50 hours on VT 2009 (about 15-20 hours of which was.spent on waiting for replays to be over). Don't buy it.

i loved Top Spin 3

but Virtua Tennis sucks.

It takes two strokes to win a ball each time you win a tournament you move 2 spaces forward on the list, there is 200 places in the amateur league and 150 in the professionals. All players ladies and men are equally good in all, it is no style difference, the game is a disaster I have just won 6-0 against Federer on "Very Hard" This game is shit!!! don 't buy it

It's ok but not as good as it should have been given how long they have had to work on it. UPS: Improved realism, players don't dive anymore they just stretch for shots and also you can actually serve aces quite often if you place them well.

DOWNS: Very arcade like still, don't like the new style system, graphics not as good, only 720p. Player wise could've had tsonga or del potro to replace haas or juan carlos ferrero. Also maybe safina for davenport.Finally it just doesn't seem as fun.

Look at the players in VT running round like headless chickens most of the time! It's embarrassing, you do not see pros running round like that and playing certain shots like those. VT continues to bring very little in the way of realism to the game of the tennis but of course it is more arcade and fun-orientated. If you're a serious tennis player and want more realism then top spin is the way to go.

i do not think its too high, cause when Virtua Tennis 3 came out i had no so cool hardware, but it still ran on maximum setttings ! and since Virtua Tennis 2009's graphics not so modified since Virtua Tennis 3, i can say without any doubts that you wont need the high-end hardware to run this game on maximum settings ! ..now question is wheter it will be just AS well optimized as Virtua Tennis 3 is...

I've played both Virtua Tennis 3 and Top Spin 3, and at the same time I am an avid Tennis player. Both games have their upsides to them but I definitely give the nod to Top Spin.

If Top Spin works on its serving mechanism, a better roster, and some kind of alternative on Career Mode it will be perfect. Instead of just playing games there should be a training facility to build your players atributes.

Virtua tennis 3 and 2009 satisfies those needs sure its arcadey like but the game motion captures everyone's individual unique style. They get an A+ Topspin 3 on that level gets a D+ lol part 2 and 1of TS failed completely as far as unique signature styles for every character
