Great video.I went to my am radio club and got the BUG for Sat Radio. One Qestion,The lady who talks the position of the Sat,what soft ware is that.Great Video
Hi the antenna ya have in the video with the little dish in the middle, would it be simple enough for a Newbie/Tech to make? And what software are ya using?
The video really inspires me a lot,it puts chills down my back lol.
At JamesJB32: You can do it with your Technician Amateurradio Class.:) Those Antennas must go with an Electrical Motor. You can buy this Antennas from any Dealer who has Antennas from M2, Comet ect....The Transceiver in this Video is a Kenwood TS2000 or you buy an old Yaesu FT847.
thats pritty cool! when i was in middle school i didnt know what a ham radio was. i used to see it in math questions on how much it would be to build a ham radio. i was thinkin that it was a regular radio (for music) made with ham. lol till my cousin invited me over to listen to one one time.
Is this still node still connected to satellites? Just wondering, I'm a big fan of Echolink, I really love the idea of being able to connect to transmitters all over the world as if I were using them locally.
I just wondered if this node was connected to satellites or just used locally and occasionally connected to satellites. I see the AMSAT conference server as well but I can never find any information about how it's used or what it's connected to. I usually don't see anyone on it either. ????
hello sir i was wondering can that antenna be brought from a store or does it have to be built? i do like that just hope it can be put on a roof and not be too tall to have my land lord freak out lol.
Cant wait till the 7th of march going for my Technician Class Exam,i can do what he in the video did correct as a Tech?
Hi can that antenna with a satellite dish like thing be put on a roof? Trying to find something i can use that my landlord will allow :( i live in a apartment on the second floor with a porch.
