@Narukai12 Magnetism arises due to magnetic field lines. Even if your hand were to be at the bottom, the field lines would still be present. Think about it. If you were to put your hand between two oppositely aligned magnetic poles , ie (North south) with a bar magnet, your hand will be clamped in between. you should try it. Of course the magnets have to be strong enough that is. Its the same principle as this levitating top. Why would the hand "cut" the forces of attraction then?
