It's because it's set in the zombie filled Racoon City that is my main reason for buying ORC when it comes out. Even if it has more run and gun elements. Resident Action 5 has none of the type of settings or anything that once made the series great.

The chills and memories come flooding back when I hear this music. So memorable. Pitty the series has gone to shit nowadays. Fucking lame assed action crap. And RE6 looks to keep the action vibe as well as trying to blend in the horror elements as well. Not good. It should be all out horror like RE2 was. Imagine RE2 with todays graphics. My fuck that would be sheer awesome so it would. Unbeatable it would be. It says a lot for the new games when a 14 year old game pisses all over the newer ones.

I would try out Dead Space and Dead Space 2 though man, they're the new Resident Evil for me. A refined version of Resident Evil 4's control scheme but also pretty scary.

@KevClynes Resident Evil: Revelations is a return to the old school style for the series. I own it and love it. But it's a shame it's only on the handheld unit and not consoles as well. That game would sell by the truck load if it was on console as well. RE: R is like an injection of old school RE into the veins of a dying horror series that seems to be hell bent on centering on the action rather than what actually put the series on the map to begin with.

Psychological terror is far more effective than some big mutated monster that looks like it came from a B-horror movie. Not bashin the RE series, they were all very fun games, but as far as scary games go, F.E.A.R is much, much better in that department.

What I liked the most about Resident Evil 3 is the fact that it steered away from the whole "supernatural" or "This place is filled with monsters." feel and more towards the feel of a zombie outbreak with strange mutations. Which is how we know Resident Evil today. (With the exception of 4 and 5.)

Damn I remember this theme when I was playing it as a kid. First time I saw Nemisis jump through the window my first reaction was to run into the save room. lol I didn't even want to go back outside because all I had on me was a damn pistol. Brings back good memories though, too bad I don't have the game now or else I would beat it a lot faster than as a kid. haha "STARS!"

Some say this track is smoothing but to me it's the exact opposite. It's so sad, but also horrific. It always gave me chills to the bones when I played it back in the day. It still strikes me as unnerving even today. An excellent composition, which makes you feel uneasy even in the save rooms.

You are never safe. You are always trapped. Your only option is to leave and continue. Out amongst the monsters, the humanoid cannibals and the moaning wind.
