I have a Bonanza BC1100. 5hp flathead Briggs, removed governor, header, velocity stack, 12/60 gearing = 43-45 mph. My friend in his car said I was at 50, but I say 45 to be real.

I had a purpl taco back in 75 in Pomona, Ca. That was the most fun ANY kid could have in his childhood. Hands down. Hell the cop's back then would just pull up and say, "hey kid be careful on that thing" They didn't care at all. Just dont ride out in traffic. @barmtrail Thats cool, cops where I live aint trippin on me either.. I mainly get a light shined in my eye and then they keep on driving.. A lot of other shit to worry about in the Antelope Valley.

Really thats it my Bonanza BC 1100 tops out a 49 mph. It was clocked by a chp radar gun.

i emailed Dave about a stock steel replacement cam, and 12lb springs..but no email back yet..must be a busy guy..yeah just wondering how that plastic is..it looks like it could melt. but im sure it wont

when u took the governor out, did it have a plastic cam shaft?..got my motor and its sick fast

ya, it does have a plastic cam. but, one of these days I'm gonna get the batman hop up kit.

yes. I bought this engine brand new, opened up the case and removed the governor. i haven't done any other mods yet, but the thing is surprisingly fast!
