@ColoradoDogTrainer Yes but I love my GSP as much as you. Plus, I use kevlar vest. I just disagree with the general feeling that the GSP is only good for upland hunting. I have seen GSP hunt bear as well. If you look up the history of the GSP you will find that the dog was designed to for multi-purpose. Thus, I am very proud that my one GSP can boar hunt, upland hunt, and duck hunt.

@916stevely @ColoradoDogTrainer I live in a state where it is illegal to hunt any big game with a dog other than lion, and I am well aware of the history of the gsp, as many of the l german hunting dogs used for everything. As I said, to each his own.

Great video! When I get home from my deployment I'm looking at getting a GSP. Wife wants a Lab, but I really want an athletic breed that has a good hunting instinct. I want to have a great family companion that wants to go everywhere with me! Keep up the good videos! Any specific training tips for GSP's would be cool to see as well!
