Tyler Perry is what's wrong with Hollywood. Shitty sequel after another for profit. He also showed that he has no talent by turning a classic into shit.
I thought the movie was great...just wish I would have know it was going to be that disturbing....I watch scary and violent movies all the time....but this touched home! I cried so much my chest hurt and I ended up in the bathroom throwing up I was so upset. My two youngest kids are the same age as Crystals kids were...I swear to god if anyone ever grabbed my kids and was going to hurt them I would kill that person with my bare hands...ain't nothing that would stop me! My kids are my life!
I loved FOR COLORED GIRLS and it's going to be in my DVD collection but I had problems with the film. Personally, none of the characters should've had real names. They should've been known simply by "Lady in Red", "Lady in Blue" etc. and also, the film should've taken place in the 70's. Having the story take place in 2010 didn't seem realistic to me.
@kennkenn35 I agree. Phylicia Rashad was powerful and it was great to see her in a serious role. I loved the movie but wish Janet Jackson did not always play a priviledged character in the Tyler Perry movies.
I went to see this movie i loved it. It is a sad reality for a lot of women. I can appriciate Tyler Perry for taking the time and energy to put this movie to light. Thank YOu!
Amazing, phenomenal, poignant, monumental, Life Changing. For those who see it, I pray u don't know any of these women & their journey's personally. If u do, it's crucial to look into Ur past & assigned them as lessons.
