I'm trying to do one for a science fair project and have been researching a lot about how maglev trains work. As a beginner with this, I don't get where the coils went and how it got connected with the solar panels on top of the train... I'd really appreciate additional info! thanks a lot! :)

we made a maglev for our bachelors project, the design is now being sponsored for its application in conveyor belts. The company wants us now to design it for the Indian conditions. We have huge problems when it has to be developed for rugged applications.

on video you can see that there is no resistance to the rails. You dont need zoom, cause you wont see anything special...

@bludger: You need a lot of power just to make such magnetic field...
