Im actually gna buy this series, it's pretty good for a motion comic but it is a shame about the voices but joss is an ambitious man who likes to try new things so he decided to have a go at changing the voices, and now there will be more action packed scenes because there is no budgeting anymore , btvs ftw!!!

I'm not complaining about the voices (as tempting as that is), but just being honest, it's rather badly written. The humor and everything just seems a bit off and just doesn't seem like something Joss would write. I mean its a bit more childish and random, I read the comic and it doesn't seem to have that old oomph of Joss-like wit.

@MrRyansMind I started to read it. The multiple Buffy's and her getting with a girl was just too far removed from the show for me to wrap my fragile brain around :P I'm going to give Angel a try. I'm less set in my ways with regards to the characters. I browsed an issue and thought Gunn as a vampire was pretty neat. I rent them from the library so it's a waiting game. I don't buy because the art doesn't impress me much. I'd love to buy just the covers though. They are truly spectacular.

Yeah, not sure about motion capture comics. I have a dvd of Watchmen that's done that way (came with the movie) and it seems okay but why not either just do a full on animated movie (or series of DVDs) or just leave the comics alone? Why this half measure?

This is really weird and all wrong.

But what a pity they only did the first part of the season - wouldn't it be funny to hear the motion comic version of #34? Imagine the voice actors doing the... uh, sounds. And all the while, their grunting and moaning are interrupted by the monotone voice of Giles-actor and Willow-actress giving endless confusing narration about sentient universes and evolution through intelligent design. It would make the issue even more hilarious than it is.

The motion comic looks a bit silly. It's actually ridiculous because it's a motion comic and a season 8 should have never been made! It's never gonna be as good as the orginal series. Sarah Michelle Gellar finished at season 7 and it should have been kept that way. It's not Buffy without the original characters and ideas. I'm not gonna watch it.

It is what it is. I've never really been a huge fan of motion comics. But did they even try to get the original actors to do the voices? I know they did for the animated series that never happened. And same with the video game.

The only person who was a problem was "Buffy" herself . Saying that she was too busy. Now she does voices on Robot Chicken. How busy are you now? Maybe she wanted too much money and they told her to go screw.

I'm a huge fan of the series. All 7 seasons and I have kept up with the Season 8 comics, but this is SAD. The dubbing is terrible (even by anime standards), and the strange mechanical motionings of the characters look ridiculous. I havent bought the DVD and I'm not sure that I want to: it would take A LOT for me to warm up to this oddly stylized marketing ploy for more money. Why bother? Why not leave the details up to our imaginations???
