ive looked up these computers and found that the x300 is about 2000 usd and the x505 lowest price is around1000 usd. dont know why? shouldnt it be the other way around, idk,lol. anyways ive read in forums that the x300 has issues with overheating, even with the flat clean surface not blocking the fan and all that crap it still overheats. I read to replace the thermal paste/grease and people said it worked after playing their laptops again but some just sent it to repair and no luck. =/
yeah im buying a new laptop so im looking into it and the x505 comes in i5 and i7, the more the performance and features the higher the price, but the starting one is i5 for 1099 usd at toshibas website, and they all (Qosmio)come with harman kardon speakers so your set for sound

thats my testing my keyboard. yeah it does suck lots of ass... ivve had mine for quite some time. this computer sucks so much ass its not even funny. seirously i cant BARELY play css at full settings. i mean css has good graphics but not top notch. this is sad

Big woop, a little keyboard flex, if u touch type this is not a problem, only if u press it really hard, but i don't know why anyone would do that, i use an external keyboard anyway.
I play cod 4 on max settings and get 91 - 100 FPS, and can play CSS on full settings but i havnt checked the FPS, but its fast.
If its over heating it's because u have the back covered up or against a wall, or in a dusty environment.

Yeh, well i would have gotten a desktop, but i prefer to be able to take my gaming pc to my mates place, instead of taking the screen, keyboard, large pc etc.. probs best to get a desktop tho, if ur going to use it at home and not move it often.. cause u can always upgrade PC's. Laptop's you cant...

yes i do own it, i got mine of ebay for a bit less then 2,000. It says its x300,, but its actulay the x305, which is a bit different as in the bios and stuff. The battery lasts about 110mins max when using documents and browsing the web... it is less when playing games. As I said earlier, its a desktop replacement. So the battery is not important... however later on you can buy a 12cell battery for around 100$ on ebay. I am not sure how many cells my battery is at the moment, ill check asap 4 u.
are u saying the battery only lasts an hour and 10mins!! thats pathetic, ive never owned a laptop before and was just about to buy this one but after u said that im wondering if i should get one! i thought an 8cell battery would last 6 hours or so! they say the benQ S42 laptop with a 6cell battery lasts up to 5 hours then why is this one only 1hour??? i dont understand there not that different this one has 9700gts and the S42 benQ has 9600GT, r they lying about the benQ lasting 5 hours u think?

There is a button to turn off/on all the lights.. 3rd button from the right on the hotkeys.

the computer needs alot of power to operate, as it needs 19volts to charge it.....
however, if ur looking for a good gaming laptop and u dont need it 2 b portable 2 the max then get this, as its good for gaming LAN parties...
but if u want a good battery u may have 2 look 4 a different laptop, or you could use a 12cell battery....
what are ur reasons 4 this purchase??

the reason y they said 5 hrs is because that is done on low settings, not playing games... and the graphics cards to make a difference..
it also needs quite alot of power 2 power the dual harddrives.. that is if u have more than 200gb of storage....

the speakers are really good....
fans are reasonable, not silent but not loud... this laptop is known as a DTR which means 'desktop replacement'..
The keyboard is really good because its glossy and your fingers glide when you type..
