If you compare the old and new fireman sam especaly this movie i would say its aimed for the older ones i wouldnt let my 2 year old couison watch the movie too much action but i would let him watch the origonal ones, I think infent ages would prefer the newer one. (41/2-7 if your not in england) Thats my jugment for the age requirement. i know small children what have been teenager films and horrior so i know not everone will agree.

@runeraj That might depend on country. I have been in a few enviroments with children and they have all been told off for saying in. Nursary and clubs time outs and schools the kids have been threatened to be put in detenton for saying it. So it might be a cutlar thing. I know that some words what are said on a daily basis means somthing diffrent in canada, what i call purse she calls handbag for example.

it wont work so easly with the sticks it takes a while plus there was no kindeling there like dry grass or moss so children can try for a while with out any susess.

It's not meant to be a realistic demonstration on how to start fire with some sticks, it's a kid cartoon..... Let get real here.

@RandomPersonUK you can make a fire by rubbing sticks together. i got tought in scouts. The whole idear of the show is to teach kids to be safe, so showing it with kindaling would have been a better one but since everything was already dry and prone to fire the wood was brittle it might not 100% sure throw have made kindaling by loosening small bits of wood.

@89torri - Yes I also know how to start a fire with some sticks, All I was saying is that it's not meant to be absolutely realistic, remember it's kids of 2-5 years old watching, so most will not understand fully what is going on. Leave it to the scouts or the guides to fill in the blanks. :)

@89torri I know what you mean but you could also see it another way, some episodes can show children how be safe and how to keep others safe. For example, the episode "Safe with Sam"
