  • You forgot the cliffhanger.

  • Imagine if M Bison was played by Tommy Wiseau instead. Van Damme: Am Guna gett on mah boat an kic dat sonofa bish Bisons as. Wiseau: Hahaha wata funy stoarie Guile . Ew fiet liek a chikn CHEEPCHEPCHEPCHEPCHEEP!!!!!!!!!

  • The Pax Bisonica with the scale model of Bisonopolis is another best scene, and probably Raul Julia' most memorable quote in the movie.

  • And Van Dam shits over steven segal and chuck norris in movies

  • @MPT1983 YES

  • Mortal Kombat was alot better than Street Fighter,at least it stuck as close to the game plot as possible, the characters were believable in their roles and had all the signature moves.SF on the other hand had a ridiculous story, poor character representation and some of the worst fighting sequences ever.Id say the movies The Quest and Bloodsport are closer to street fighter than the real film.

  • Love how he doesn't mention that most of the characters are nothing like in the game.

  • street fighter the film is so fucking shit it about nothing really

  • This is an awful movie that produced in awful movie game and is all based on an awesome game. Wrap ur head around that one

  • Pshh. Still better than the legend of chin li

  • Street Fighter is not all about Guile, it's mostly about Ryu and Ken because their the main characters

  • WHERE IS THE OF COURSE CLIP FROM?!!!

  • What? Did Raul Julia die?

  • @menslady125

Yeah, this was back in '94.

  • @BlackRyuOmegaIII: I found out recently.

T^T Why do cool people have to bite the big one?

  • QUICK! CHANGE THE CHANNEL!!!

  • I love Mortal kombat

  • Mortal kombat rules

  • How come you didn't mention that all of the characters were nothing like how they were described in the game? Like Ryu and Ken, who are best friends and the main characters in the Street Fighter franchise, are con artists in this one. And this film had a Sega Saturn game based off of it. How retarded is that?

  • You Know whats worse than the street fighter movie

the game based on the movie

  • @soisyourface1234 i enjoy that game lol

  • Of course

  • i HOPE THIS EPOSIDE NEVER ENDS

  • Another thing, Ryu's name was (and still is) often mispronoucned as "raiyuu".

  • Mortal Kombat was okay. But Street Fighter was a big let down.

  • the street fighter video game's story sucks ass anyway

  • Ahhhh the birth of the "Of Course" joke... *sigh* How young we were...

  • does it matter if I like street fighter the movie?

I know its flawed, but hey, at least its not legend of chun li or tekken and king of fighters

  • I just saw this tonight. Definitely a movie you need to be in the right mindset for, but I actually really enjoyed it.

  • ok heres what i REALLY dont get. the part where ryu and ken warn the bad guys about the truck full of explosives.chun li of course blames them for betraying them. but ken and ryu didnt really do anything. bison and sagat were warned about the explosives by ...chun li in a video...ok....bit of a flaw there. also its a freaking huge truck barreling toward them that everyone sees...ooooh covert

  • You what Guile should have done?

As a wise green elf eared alien once said.

    He should have DODGED!?

  • Mortal Kombat is still the best game movie adaptation so fuck all! Now here is a fact that brings these two movies together. Street Fighter is just a Van Damme movie as we all know, but Van Damme in Blood Sport inspired Mortal Kombat and more specifically Johnny Cage. Van Damme's great impact on gaming lol

  • i loved the first mortal kombat movie. now the street fighter movie was a piece of shit. oh well the review of both these movies are funny!!!

  • Watched Street Fighter and I thought it was excellent if you think of it as more of a comedy than a serious film. Like Batman & Robin.

  • i know Street Fighter is terrible but i actually found that movie on dvd for 5 dollars lol

  • i thought Mortal Kombat movie is good, only thing i agree is "PG"

  • "QUICK, CHANGE THE CHANNEL!" Lol.

  • STREET FIGHTER - MORTAL KOMBAT

  • OF COURSE!

  • Let's not forget @3:55 to @4:15 lol

  • @4:00 lol

  • @xxJohnneh Well then you need a wakacaw!

  • That's where the impulse came from?!?

  • Raoul Julia probably died of the shame of being in this...movie?

  • atleast the first MK movie was good

from the 2nd movie im ignoring its existence

  • what doth he drinketh from that human skullzorz?

  • fuck you for that beatles insalt fuck guile for caling m.bison a bitch

  • @Angel03131999 He didn't insult the Beatles. Whatever gave you that impression?

  • fuck you for that beatles insalt

  • @Charlesperalo this is the only double movie review he's ever done. this review really isn't enough to determine whether or not they work for him. plus, this is early in his shows. he now has more confidence on camera. who knows, if he does another double review it might be better.

  • @Xeimora418 He did do a double review after this. Does "Short Circuit" ring any bells?

  • smug british guy looks like the medic from tf2

  • Really this review is why double movie reviews don't work for NC.

  • MK > SF

  • Even the Street Fighter isn't the best movie, I still enjoy it for what it is: an over the top movie that's fun to watch.

  • QUICK! CHANGE THE CHANNEL!!!

  • I'm guessing the movie had such a low budget, that they had to us UN soldiers' uniforms ... or AN soldiers?

  • Where's Fei-Long? Guess he gave a fucking FLYING DRAGON KICK to the director for even CONSIDERING him in this bad movie! Oh, and T.Hawk probably sent his tribe to attack the film makers for tring to get him in the movie, so that's why he's not in.

  • @TheDeadpoolOwns Haha, actually, T.Hawk is in the movie, you can see him at the end when Guile encounter Bison. Guile told him I dunno what, and call him by his name. Yes, there's absolutely no other possibilities to know who he is during the whole movie...

  • Wait a minute.... i thought the original plot of Street Fighter was about Ryu? This some bull...

  • Er... first Mortal Kombat movie, not SF movie

  • But... I liked the first movie a lot.

  • You know why this movie failed? No Guile theme... Cmon the main character's theme isn't in this movie? That blows.

  • the new street fighter is even stupider

  • do old vs new for SF

  • @journeymanX Both fail.

  • Here is the biggest problem with the Street Fighter movie. Its plot is too much like GI Joe. Think about John Claude leads a group of international soldiers against an international terrorist organization with silly over the top. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Hello it's GI Joe.

  • to kick - that "sun heffa beachs" ass?

  • Didn't NC seen after credits scene where M.Bison comes back?

  • @NewSuperAvenger I doubt he'd sit through the cheesy credit sequence to even care.

  • quick change the cannel!!!!!!!

  • i love the ggilligans island referance

  • i know Street fighter the movie is bad, but not so much Mortal Kombat.

  • @Danimite54 It's not that bad.

  • @Danimite54 I agree, the first Mortal Kombat movie is entierly passable. I mean it's stupid and bland, but at least it delivers what we want from such a movie, action! Also, there is kind of a hero's tale going with Liu Kang that has to accept the fact that "earthrealm" is fucked without him, with lots of cool character progression on the side.

  • i don't know why everyone hates on Mortal Kombat, I know it's kind of quirky, but at least it's enjoyable

  • @Danimite54 Mortal Kombat was awesome,Annhilation was a huge fucking dissapointment.

  • @Jose23Newgrounds except for the sub zero and scorpion fight scene in annialation , that was actually kind of cool.

  • @thegauntlet2001 Yeah, I guess so.

  • @Danimite54 At least it's not Annihilation.

  • If there's one thing an american who's balls haven't dropped yet can't complain about it's annoying/bad accents

  • This is a terrible movie but Van-Damme shot in the first third of the movie and they seen alive only in the last third of the movie. In the first NC reviews they said a lot of bullshit.

  • What the hell happened?!

  • i liked mortal kombat

  • for a moment i thought guile would say in his specch:

you wanna go home and be a family man?

OR YOU WANNA COME WITH ME!!!111

  • M. Bison: OF COURSE!

  • 5:46

Van Damme: Who wants to go home...

    NC: (raises hand)

Van Damme: ...and who wants to go with me?!

    Soldiers: Yeahhhh!!!!

    NC: NO, NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

  • I'm french, and when Van Damme speaks french, I have problems understanding him too. Weird accent.

  • @Diablon76

That's maybe because he's belgian or something else maybe.

  • @bozhno I don't think so... actually I think he tries to speak french with an english accent for some reason, like he's famous and everything. I don't know, I really don't get it, and I'm not the only one xD

  • there uniforms look like the U.N uniforms

and thats just sad putting that in a shit stain like this

  • To be honest I'm willing to cut the first Mortal Kombat some slack (unlike its turd sequel). It did do a FEW things right like having the combatants face each-other from either side of the screen like in the game.

And it did have a few interesting fights and distinctive moments. Kano was pretty cool and Sonya was hot.

Street Fighter on the other hand gets by on nothing but sheer stupid value.

  • Anybody else here ever see that street fighter the later years thing that collegehumor did? they should make that into a real street fighter movie

  • I've always liked the Nostalgia Critic above all other internet celebrities and I enjoy all of his work.

But does anyone else think that his early stuff, from his Cartoon All-Star review to the end of 2008, was when he was at his best?

  • QUICK! HANGE THE CHANNEL! okaaaaaay i kind of Lol'd . . not gonna lie

  • I'm also sure Raul Julia's family kicks ass, too.

  • I actually liked the Street Fighter movie better than the Mortal Kombat movie. I really consider it the "Plan 9 from Outer Space" of my generation; a cinematic ham-and-cheese sandwich; a slice of 90s nostalgia.

  • @neosoc me too and i don't thimk this movie gets enough credit. it has some flaws but so does all movies.

  • Thumbs up if you want John and Ringo in Street Fighter 5!

  • I LOVED both Mortal Kombat films. But the critic has room to speak his mind and i respect that. Njhwejkfhjkdfcr hvtrhcvtcvh

  • I loved MK!... when I was 5. Now the movie just seems cheesy. I had the same experience with Water World aswell.

  • the anime movie is waaay better in my case

  • Where's ryu

  • @Brandon999LFC have you seen the movie. if you haven't just watch it and you can figure it out.all he does is fight other people with ken.

  • @IcecoldSaiyan88 i watched nostalgia critics review of in again and i noticed he shows ryu in a clip, so never mind

  • WTF Blanka is my favorite and they completely fucked him up :(

  • in my country this movie wasn't that bad, 'cause the van damme voice was made by a voice actor in the Spanish version obviously

  • doesn't that british guy play a british guy in ace ventura 2

  • as much as ryu deserves to be the star here, u gotta admit; the guy is as dull as a brick wall, and has just as much personality

  • half of guile's troops look way too young to be fighting a war

  • QUICK!! change the channel!

  • Is Ryu in this movie?

  • Is it just me, or does the mutated Blanka look like Tommy Wiseau?

  • @windowsVD YOU ARE TEARING ME APART, M BISON! No, seriously, you are, huh?

  • @windowsVD

    YOUR TEARING ME APART WINDOWS!

  • @kingjcare121 FATALITY.

  • @windowsVD

    Mygod he actually does :)

  • @windowsVD

"Oh HAI M.Bison! Shall we play fuutbawl?"

    "OF COURSE!"

  • @windowsVD Oh Hi Mark

  • But wecanahgohome.

  • @3:32 the blue helmets are actually used by the UN

  • This movie has a distinct lack of HADOOUUKENS (pardon my spelling).

  • Quick! Change the Channel !

  • @4:40 What did the British ever do to the director of this movie!?

  • Wow, can't believe Raul Julia was in this. I loved him in Romero.

  • Street Fighter is a guilty pleasure of mine. it's just really enjoyable to watch. it's not good, but it's FUN. same with Mortal Kombat (only MK has more credibility and can be considered genuinely good)

  • how come i still wacth this film if its on tv

  • laughed so hard 5:49

  • Mortal Kombat 1 wasn't half bad...at least I always thought so.

  • wow my cat could of made a better street fighter film

  • Dude, Balrog is an enemy! HOW THE FUCK COULD THEY ALLY HIM WITH A GOOD GUY?

  • @88Meters like nc said: no street fighting whatsoever

  • no dahlem was my fav

    ps.but ryu is the best

  • 3:28 Wrong awnser, he had a continue left People in the background: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Me: Aw come on, I had to!

  • OF COURSE!!!

  • what the fuck are you talking about? van dammes the shit.

  • The movie is horrible, but Kylie Minogue looks great :)

  • lol, surely street fighter makes it into the "so bad its good" catagory?

  • well if your going to make a movie about a fighting game, naturally it should have a lot of fighting in it. hence the term "fighting game"

  • ...and I'm going to kick dat sunufuff bitch Bison's ass...

  • i never knew barlong was a bad guy?

  • @MasterMonsters

    you mean "Balrog" ?

Yes, in one of the firsts Street Fighters games, after you defeated every other fighters (Chun Li, Blanka, Dalhsim, Zangief, Ryu, etc...), you add to defeat him, Vega, and Sagat, to reach and fight Bison.

So he's kinda like a lil boss of the game.

  • 6:25 - Um, Critic...That's King Xerxes. He isn't exactly an obscure historical figure. He was known as Xerxes I of Persia, or Xerxes the Great. He was also a famous figure in the biblical Book of Esther. He isn't exactly someone that you can say "Oh, it's just another bald guy."

  • @notgonnasay09 Why so serious?

  • @sec0ndevolution Eh, it just seems like, when he can give names for anyone else he does comparisons with, he should be able to do so for him as well.

  • i really enjoyed this movie along with mortal kombat. they were two good movies that brought video game characters to life. no this idiot didnt like all his reviews r to dis the movies. at least his reviews r funny.

  • OF COURSE!!

  • i think the only way to defeat bison is don't give him is gift! (4:11) and honda needs a visit by a medic...

  • @AlbertTheFinal

    Bison : OF COURSE !! (1:52)

  • the Blue uniforms, its the color of the uniforms used by troops that are with an UN (United Nations) command.

  • S'muruguggsh'gagneh! (quizzical look) BOING Call it a wakkekul. Ef uh nugdup sut in fibtig biddits. If Sagat rubs dab do Bizud....

  • SONIC BOOM!

  • 31 people weren't quick enough to change the channel.

BTW, they should've played Guile's theme during his speech. After all, it goes with everything.

  • Aside from Van Dame I liked Street Fighter.... and Kombat wasn't too awfull... Anihilation was....

  • As horrible movies these movies are, they are also freaking fun. Absolute masterpieces for hanging out with friends and having a laugh. Plus, Raul Julia's worst film is Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, and Van-Damme's is easily The Quest. Both of which are also really excellent movies for watching with friends.

  • The biggest fuckup was making Guile the hero. He's a great character in the game, but Ryu is the iconic one. Are Americans really that insecure?

  • @Twinsnakecoatl

Nothing to do with insecurity. It' working with what you have while appealing to your audience.

People like to call Americans out on stereotyping, but can't help doing the same in the process.

  • @Twinsnakecoatl

I guess americans just like to see their GIs as heroes in every movies involving a war. ^^'

  • @Twinsnakecoatl The thing of it is, Guile has more business being a hero than Ryu

All Ryu ever does his entire life is just beating the shit out of people trying to 'find himself'

  • @kaihedgie wow, Ryu has a really lame excuse to fight

  • @Twinsnakecoatl Yes, yes they are.

  • @Twinsnakecoatl Yes we are.

  • @Twinsnakecoatl No, the biggest fuckup was having an incoherent lead actor.

  • @Twinsnakecoatl well either ryu or ken maybe

  • @Twinsnakecoatl How is it that Americans are insecure? It was a dirty frog that was the main character. If anything... you know what, that's actually pretty messed up. Damn French people spreading aids with their nazi talk and red menacing.

  • @Twinsnakecoatl lol yeah because there nothing is more American than a belgian actor playing the most american video game character ever made.

  • @Twinsnakecoatl The thing of it is: Guile has more to do with being a hero than Ryu. Guile is a soldier serving his country actively fighting against terrorists and criminals. Ryu just goes around beating the crap out of people he makes eye contact with for literally no reason.

  • @kaihedgie Good point, except Guile isn't in it for duty, he's fighting for revenge. And Ryu fights constantly so he can better himself. You should read their backstories.

  • @Twinsnakecoatl I already have and I stand by it :p

  • @Twinsnakecoatl And I really do mean 'literally no reason'. Ryu doesn't even know why he keeps fighting and exactly what he's looking for and he's stated this in nearly every ending. He honestly thinks that if he keeps fighting random people off the street, he'll find 'purpose' in his life, or being a 'true warrior'. He might as well be a criminal at this rate.
