Why are people fighting over which robotic vacuum cleaner is best. I for one am pleased there is more then one company making these as each company will try harder to make the best product as well as being the most competively priced. That can only be good for us customers!
hmmm... judging by the video... I wonder if this vacuum robot is actually useful... I know Roomba and I find the same. They "walk" like if they are lost or dumb, without a coherent path. I find are still so primitive, and not a serious cleaning.
I dont "give" my money to anyone. I'll pay the man who perfectionates the idea and then sells it at a good price with a good warrenty. I dont have any "fidelity" towards the inventor. If I did I would be buying stone wheels for my car. I'll buy something like this when it gets picked up and worked on by a big company that I can count on.
Is the LG better than the Roomba? And I think thegrinchd is just trying to say that the Roomba guy came up with the idea, so he should get compensated for it.
Would you like someone to make money off of your idea?
i am sure roomba already makes enough money... the united states enforces patents morons. There is also a such thing as copyrights.
thegrinchd, why dont you buy a Macintosh? the real computer? Dumb ass, we as consumers are obligated to make smart decisions which include price, warranty, and effectiveness. Roomba has flaws in all three of those categories, so why should we buy it? LG >> Roomba.
I think you will find that electrolux came up with the idea long before irobot. Irobot just mass produced a bag of shite that has absolutly no brain and falls apart like a cheep mcdonalds toy.
actually not true iRobot is the original and they were rated the highest quality robotic vacuum cleaners so you can just stfu. i love robots. The original robot saying ONLY from iRobot
Electrolux, the first company to bring a robotic vacuum cleaner to market in the Trilobite, has released the first second generation vacuum, the Trilobite 2.0.
The new Trilobite 2.0 can be programmed to clean at a particular time, has an active infra-red stair sensor and improved navigation algorithm.
The prototype of the Electrolux Trilobite was first presented in 1997 on the BBC (UK) television programme Tomorrows World. November 2001 saw the introduction of the finished product, the worlds first automatic or robotic vacuum cleaner. As demand for the Trilobite continues to grow, it will soon be available all around the world.
@ukclassicdance I admit, I have had to repair my roomba 4 times, 3 times repaired by domotech, once by me. They are good though, but the 2.1 milliwatt infared lasers on the neato x-11 have caught my attention.

LG's cleaner is most likely better than Roomba because it came out later. LG is not some cheap company, it's all over the world.

buy a Roomba, get the real thing from the real company, not a knockoff. Give your money to the people that came up with the idea.
