#1 thing missing from this game is a mini misson/goal system. in m2tw you had objectives like, blockade that port, and take that rebel region...now all u have is victory conditions...

Yeah your cpu is good, your ram is good. That only leaves your video card. thats the problem. If your are gone replace your video card you should buy one at least 9200 Good Luck!

it depends. donseipo says 2gb ram and 256mb dedicated video memory, but it think it's the minimum so you will only be able to play at low-graphicsquality with that. (and because it's a laptop, i doubt it)

No, you do not build your empire like AoE.

But you can conquer different nations and states with the armies you raise.

you have a map with cities on and you can construct buildings in the cities and recruit armies, you can send the armies acroos the map and when u fight you get something like this video

it was weird for me the first time a played a total war game after plaing AoE but it's a lot more fun trust me

in every other theathre than your home theathre (usually europe) you can recruit 'native units' units that replace colonial line infantry/standard cavalry and are nearly as strong

no, there like local soldiers. in this game, when u go 2 another theater of war, u have recruit native troops(i.e. indians) instead of ur traditional european men

it wasn't a sacrifice, if i had not form the square they would have panic and all get kill. Those troop are indian, so they are classify as "white" troop even if the tan make them look darker.

the only bad thing with the dutch for me is that all their city's are so far away from each other. and u have to keep swapping between contenants (or however u spell it). very gd battle XD

Ahh, Empire, my love. I purchased this release day and enjoyed it quite thoroughly on my laptop, which at the time was the only thing capable of running it. Unfortunately a month later, it fried and died while playing another high requirement game.

It's been a good 6 months or so since I've played. So sad. :(

But seems like the coming battle will be cool.. Maybe the experienced troops you have in India should kill the guys left in europe. then head far up north in the america's while your southern force works its way up? be fun that way. Dont forget to have small armys policing your lands back home though. rebels can be annoying :)

This games hard lol. I hate the AI, most of the battles i get involved with..end up with just me setting up a defensive position, almost exactly the same spot i entered the battle at , as the enemy just charge head on. Your quality at this, even though its a kinda big leap from melee combat...to everyone having a muzzleloader.

I love the dutch, i have some battles from my current campaign I should throw up.

One i was out numbered by a full ratio.

it was a BLOODY battle, over 5000 troops died. Mostly due to the explosions.
