To be honest, I think he only says how much it hurt being a Nazi because that is what people want to hear. From those videos and photographs of him he looked very happy. I think that because of his age he just forgot and didn't care he was a Jew, and he was ok with being a Nazi mascot, not knowing how serious what he was doing was.

@full123moon If you did know history, you would see that not only were the Jews on the Nazi itinerary, but also all the other "inferior" races, such as the Slaves, Lits, Russians, etc. They didn't quite succeed. They only had enough time to exterminate most of the Jews. But if they had won, they would have started exterminating other groups as well, including probably your own grandparents.

I just finished reading the book. What an incredible account of what he went through. Becoming a Nazi mascot at 5 years old. Ironic how the Nazis considered him the ideal "Aryan". They considered him the ideal physical specimen of the pure Nordic "race". Yet another example of how stupid some morons are, that think Jews have a specific stereotypic "physical look". Jewish ppl come in all sizes, colours, shapes.

There are more than two sides to Nazi Germany....Not every member was a sadistic bastard hell bent on wiping out another race. I share the same surname ast Alex. My grandfather and his brother were the only two to survive the holocaust from their family. After the war they imigrated to Israel. We always thought that there were no other survivors from our family. This could be a relation. Can anybody suggest or knows how I can get in contact with this person?
