  • I love this song!

  • he looks like tim robbins at the end

  • RIP Dewey you'll always be my fake artist

  • he looks like sid james from the carry on films, great voice

  • lights down, you up and die

  • It really is beautiful

  • What a great song

  • It's about music. It's about love. It's about paying for drugs. It's about getting a lap dance from a lesbian. It's about playing music with the top half of your father. It's about surviving multiple gunshot wounds. It's about being a ghost. And of course it's about the pixelated penis. It's about a lot of things. It really is a beautiful ride.

  • as eamon4800 said good movie but great music

  • last time i watched this video on youtube i got T bagged through the scree... sure glad they fixed it

  • He never once paid for drugs. Lol

  • Props to JCR for inserting phrases into songs I thought only Frank Zappa could.

  • i saw the video of this names Walk Hard- the Story of Dewey Cox I really love the video very touching specially this part of the video.......

  • You never paid for drugs haha lol

  • dewey cox died three minutes after this performance..

  • dewey cox you rock man you rock

  • @minhhoang2312 well it may have not been a joke but I think even if he did die 3 minutes later it would have been ok. He spent time with his family, played his final master piece and like I said before reached enlightenment. So either way its not necessarily a sad ending, but I still think you can take it either way and just because of this you shouldn't look at the movie negatively because it did what it great and all in all was a great movie.

  • This song touched me soul.

  • did he really died after 3 minutes? :(

  • @minhhoang2312 Its more of just a joke, if they were to have something afterwards it would have been something to do with him living the rest of his days in enlightenment, but because they did need to add anything they just added that for humour. Personally I don't think it was needed.

  • @dustanater10 but i search on wiki and they said that =.= u sure it's just a joke?

  • You guys are idiots, this song is very deep. Wrong song, but I had to say it

  • This song made my day

  • I love this movie

  • I LOVE COX!!!!!!!

  • It's normal that I have a boner now, right?

  • gotta love how he's the only one with a full head of hair

  • My God,this guy can sing...WHY WASN'T THIS JOHN C. REILLY THE SINGER IN STEP BROTHERS INSTEAD OF WILL FERRELL

  • @CoryWong707 CUZ WILL FERRELL RULES!!! >O<

  • i think i want some of that shit!!! lol

  • THE WRONG KID DIED !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @KidsGaming101 God damn it :))epicness

  • @KidsGaming101 bahahaha!!!!

  • @KidsGaming101 you would not believe how easy it is to cut someone in half with a machete

  • EDDIE VEDDER!!!!

  • 6 person's dad think the wrong kid died :( Blessings to the world. Peace to all!

  • I really liked some of the songs from this movie... totally unexpected. Nice movie and nice soundtrack.

  • this is actually a really good song!

  • and hes quite a good singer as well

  • wait i was wondering, is this a true story O_O cuz i got confused by the date in the end

  • @XmaroonsX you're kind of an idiot

  • @kaidoctor and your smart as hell. sorry for asking :) cuz apparently, asking makes someone an idiot. thank you

  • @XmaroonsX wikipedia ftw

  • @XmaroonsX It's not true, it's all fiction.

  • @XmaroonsX It's a fictional movie, basically mocking musical biographies. The title is a rip off of Walk The Line - The Johnny Cash story.

  • @Honkeyman09 oh ok ok. thanks for saying that.

  • this is actually a very good song coming from a comedy movie.

  • The first time I watched it, I thought "ooh this could be funny!" I don't think I ever laughed so hard when I watched when he was first offered reefer in the bathroom by the drummer xD (cant remember his name atm, but realllly funny scene)

  • i know the movies a spoof movies but it was a movie that when you watch it for the 1st time your uninterested but as it goes on it sticks with ya and the music is awesome love this movie oh and YOU NEVER ONCE PAID FOR DRUGS YOU TUBE WHAT THE FUCK YOU PLAYING AT MAN GO OUT THERE AND GET ME SOME WEED MAN

  • O_o WTF at 3:35 ???

  • @GusDeLespace no dude 3:50 WTF o_O

  • I totally get that this song was writtien purely for comedy, but as a songwriter myself, there really are some ingenious lines of this song. Fantastic. The wrong kid didnt die.

  • @BiafraMain

I know man, it's crazy how good some of the music is as well as how good John Reilly sings it!

I was very surprised...this movie kicks ass!

  • love this song

  • "Never paid for drugs"

  • @jodyq43 Not Once.

  • Eddie Vedder at the start :D

  • "...travelling not just for business.."

  • Jane Lynch's cowgirl at 3:20 is quite easily the sexiest scene in the movie, if not all of human history.

  • This movie and John C. Reilly are way too underrated

  • 3:55 is the best part of the entire movie.

  • I don't even normally like country, but this song is amazing!! Its so true!! :)

  • John C.Reilly really should have a music career haha

  • @bapesta10 I think that's Elvis.

  • So they cut out the part with jonah hill flipping Dewey off but the left in the part with the dick? Tell me how that makes sense...

  • Dewey Cox died 3 minutes after this performance.

  • 3 ppl dont have souls and will burn in hell

  • "we goin' light a candle tonight"

  • @FunnyJokerz999 do you think I'm retarded?

  • Most underrated film ever!

  • @Brodie73m I came here to write that exact same comment! this movie grows on me each time I see it.

  • AN ABSOLUTE WONDER FILM!!!!!!! I listen to electronic music but the music in this film is awsum!

  • 2.09 Ahahhahahahahaahhahahaahhahahahhaah

  • such a sad song i love it

  • @jimmster2go1

I wouldn't call it sad when the core message is appriciating life. ^^

    Touching yes, but sad? No.

  • two things you need to know man

    1. I'm the king

    and

    2. LOO COW MAN

thats call K raw tay man and only two kinds of people know it, the chinese and the king, and one of em's me

  • @galaxysquadwasamibob hey says Look Out man not Loo Cow Man

  • how many sinks did he break throughout the movie???

  • 3 people found out that the Hulk has an evil twin.. and he's not green; he's red

  • this song is marvellous. =)

  • One of those GREAT movies you either get it or dont....and if you dont your a major "cox" lover

  • 3 people are Cox suckers

  • @dreamtaker93 lol

  • Bad lyrics. Thanks for the vid, though :) .

  • looks like he got indigestion at the end

  • aw sori..nka sulat pala dito ung nangyari sa end

  • i don't know if you'd watch the movie but in the end..after he sing this song or 3 minutes after he sing the song he died..i was so sad back then..

  • What makes this movie work so well -- and I mean, classic well --- is that the song at the end is actually great.

  • Didn't even realise it was Eddie Vedder the first time I was watching the movie

  • Lol, the monkey at 1:42.

  • this movie is right up there with Spinal Tap

  • All joking aside, this is really a great song. Beautuiful chord progressions and (sometimes) very poignant lyrics..!! And is it just me or was anybody else blown away by how beautiful John Reilly's voice is..??!! My God, this man can sing..!! Thanks for posting..

  • @MARKGPL it really IS a good song. it's actually the one TRUE serious part of this comedic movie. I love the blatant lyrics and how he delivers them.

  • @MARKGPL Yes I said the same thing about John C. Reilly's voice on a different video of this same song (the vid with the black screen and the lyrics up). It's one of the most beautiful songs you could hear and yet it's a slightly goofy song from a parody film. It's amazing.

  • 1 person died 3 minutes after this performance.

  • I love this movie, so hilarious yet oddly touching

  • "Accepting your mortality" Nice reference to "Gods gonna cut you down"

  • i just wanna know what he had against sinks.....

  • 1:11 whats tht smoke?

  • 4:12 - 4:30

That literally brought a tear to my eye. Such a great choice of scenes.

The Lyric's are sad also, it's like a life story drawing to a conclusion.

  • Just a heads up to people...if your going to watch Walk the Line...watch that before you watch this movie. I did it the opposite way around and I couldn't stop laughing because I kept thinking about this movie :P

  • beautiful song :.) i think i may do that as i grow older and lived my life make a song about my life :P

  • 1:47 - 2:01 sounds like a Beatles song but i can't put my tongue on it, anyone know what i'm talking about?

  • @14brad I get the same feeling, but I think it is because it is a classic beatles arrangement. A lot of key changes to make those chromatic melodies in the chorus work.

  • @TreyCarey1 ahh yeah that could be it, either way it sounds great

  • If you ignore the fact that the movie is a comedy just for this scene then it's actually a really great part in the movie and an even better way to end it.

  • One person's dad thinks the wrong kid died

  • :( this scene always touches me, i love this movie.

  • how can you cry at this scene?

  • one person cried so much (s)he couldnt tell the difference from the dislike and the like button

  • this song really caught me off guard, i didn't expect to see be so moved. but the reflection of all the scenes when he was a kid really got me.

  • It's about the good walk

    And the hard walk

And the young girls you've made cry

    It's a beautiful ride...

  • goosebumps man, goosebumps

  • The lyrics seem intentionally clumsy and imperfect so as to stay humorous, but it actually is pretty beautiful.

  • 1 person never payed for drugs ONCE!

  • 1 person is not aware of the beautiful ride.

  • you're never gonna make it.

  • Get outta here Dewey you dont want no part of this shit !! lol

  • who the hell has the one dislike??? what kinda scum does that stuff?

  • one communist disliked this video

  • He never paid for drugs.....NOT ONCE,,,, lmao one of my favourite movies

  • hahahahhahah his jewish friend dying during the performance hhahahah

  • The lyrics are wrong.

  • 1 person is an ass...

  • Comment removed

  • Wait, why is kid Dewey's ghost there?

  • @melzieclark good question!

  • @rmelio1: yes We are taught more about life

  • Comment removed

  • Eddie Vedder !

  • @jamie06z . Excellent that you mentioned that. I don't know how old you are but it is nice to understand that. If you can understand what is important and never forget it, your life will be incredible. If you are young, you have a lot of great times to look forward to. Good luck.

  • I really like this song haha

  • @jamie06z this is the best song for the ending.

  • Did Dewey Cox really existed?

  • @absalommenchavez Yes, but this wasn't based on him. :P

  • @absalommenchavez I wish, if he did, that would be amazing

  • Its about the good walk, and the hard walk, and the young girls you made crrryyy.--------------------------Its about makin a little music everyday tell ya die'. its a beautiful ride!!!!!

  • oh i was think it a story real XD

  • oh

  • Story of him is real in life?

  • @zhangquide . I think they took a lot from the Johnny Cash movie. (Walk The Line) Kind of a spoof on Johnny Cash and I think Jim Morrison. It seems funny but the movie is a good example of not waiting until the end of your life to realize who and what is important. Dewey makes us laugh so much but we are being taught at the same time.

  • This is the best song i'm ever heard!!.

  • its one heck of a dream for dewey cox

  • This is such an underrated film! More people should have gone and seen it!!

It truly is a Beautiful Ride of a film!

  • it looks like 1 Viewer was cut in half with a machete...
