    ... and it's German. Unless you can prove that it's Yiddish... My understanding of that language isn't as extensive as the Germanic and Romance languages.

  • Yiddish is actually from Middle German. Modern German and Yiddish are extremely similar. Maybe even closer than Ukrainian and Russian, for example.
