  • makes me cry :' )

  • i remember this materpiece when it was uploadad years and years ago, it was kind of my secret "youtube" track... i see how popular it is now and... still i feel it deserves more views, really it does, what the hell are you people sharing with your mates instead of this??? what???

  • what a nice little tune

  • RIP Nothing Studios in New Orleans. Most of the most incredible music i've ever heard and will ever be created was created there

  • The genius doing what he does best.....nuff said

  • awsome beautiful

  • Is that Billy Howerdel with him?

  • NIN will be one of those bands that will be part of my life for as long as I know it

  • Watch you don't catch those curtains with your candles, Trent!

  • Only people with a true love for music and emotion appreciate this masterpiece..

  • aMen...

  • Omg 3 people are Justin Bieber fans.

  • billy+trent= hotness!!!

  • Whether if his craftsmanship and artistry take a break or are devoted more prominently to to his recent breakthrough act - Trent Reznor will flourish as a musician until the day he dies.

  • what a nice ass recording space

  • They're two entirely different pieces of work. All I know is the still version of "Something I Can Never Have" ranks amongst one of the most emotional songs I've ever heard and arguably one of the best from any recording artist/musician.

  • I hope this upcoming release/album/material of his parabolically balances the tender, frail yet musically and emotionally engaging aspects of his softer instrumentals/tracks and the dynamic incinerating agressive tracks that played sch a prominent in albums/releases like "The Downward Spiral", "With Teeth" and "Broken" (which I have yet to own). "The Slip" (along with "Pretty Hate Machine") ranks to be his most accessible, tangile release to date.

  • honestly i loved the downward sprial but i think still is the best from nine inch nails, my favorite song is and all that could have been, the first time i heard it i was amazed it felt like it had it's own genre

  • I love that song too. Although I first really got into it when I was pregnant and had to stop myself listening to it as I worried the depressing vibes might carry to the baby chemically!

  • this cd is a MUST have for all NIN fans! every single song you can feel the emotion that Reznor was sending out with every strike of the piano.

I think the "still" version of "even deeper" is better than the original...just seems more powerful to me. but then again the original is powerful in a different way.

bottom line..Trent Reznor kicks ass whether its in your face Trent or classical Trent

  • Is there a still version of even deeper? Sounds quite interesting :O. I got the album myself, but I can't remember a still version of even deeper on it :S.

Do you know who's on guitar? I think it looks like Jerome Dillon, but wasn't he the drummer?

  • @KinkyOnkel32 No. That version is not in "Still" album. The version of EVEN DEEPER is in an album non-official called "Nine Inch Nails - The CRC Sessions (Chicago Acoustic) (year 2000)" (sorry for my english)

  • @pablost07 you are correct sir :)

  • @KinkyOnkel32 Pablost07 is right, i forgot to mention that is on the CRC sessions, it has 2 versions of hurt and the becoming and a few others, its amazing try to find it!! :)

  • @KinkyOnkel32 I believe it's Billy Howerdel from apc. I could be wrong though

  • still and the fragile are great work by trent. still album definitely worth listening too.

  • Trent sounds so badass with his piano o.o

    I kid, kid. Beautiful stuff.

  • melancolia mórbida

  • This was beautiful live :)

  • must agree! saw it in paris in july! omg best night of my life :) love to all the NIN fans!

  • I love Reznor's accoustic performances, he's undeniably one of the greatest musicians off all time. The "Still" compilation doesn't recieve enough recognition.

  • You're dead right. He can play heavy, "Industrial" rock, or mellow , atmospheric stuff, or even the danceable acid house(?) remixes of his songs are great. I have this CD also and it is probably my favorite; well worth every penny........

  • @JesusCristo2002

    Agreed 120%

  • NIce diddy

  • I wonder if he ever thinks about Tori Amos anymore.... They should have been together.

  • Yes, That's True...

    "Past The Mission"

    ;-)

  • I think all of this songs were made by him thinkin' on her, maybe... but anyway...

Both of 'em, great artists, and yea, I agree they should have been together, could you imagine what music these two could have produced together and separately ?

  • ..Or how cute their babies would have been? When Tori and her husband had their baby almost a decade ago, even my friend who is a die-hard Tori fan said, "Gawd, that kid is ugly! She should've married Trent, then she would've produced beautiful children"! LOL!! ..I couldn't agree with my friend more. :)

  • I agree. I REALLY like Tori. And Trent's music and overall image was best, in my opinion, during and around the time he was with Tori. Apparently they are still friends.

  • I love to see them do something together too!

  • @seehowbraveyouare

I know, right? They were essentially perfect for each other.

  • @seehowbraveyouare

I agree! Together they are brilliant.

  • ...U just can't even begin to imagine how a person creates themselves as Trent has. we don't see the little things he does. like brush his teeth, lol. but it just makes you appreciate living in this place sometimes...

  • is this video in any DVD¿

  • Like it when he keeps his songs mellow, sad, and thought provoking - hope he continues that path.

  • Is this in New Orleans? And also is this from a DVD released by NIN?

  • beautiful ;( i love Nine Inch Nails

  • absolutely beautiful sound; it's sad but mellow. love it

  • Trent played this in Atlanta in the Wave Goodbye tour...I started crying

  • iv seen nin 3 times. i cried at 2 of em. hurt and the great below especially.

  • This is so beautiful OMG, Trent has such a gift :)

  • Beautiful.

  • i love this song.. but does anyone have a video of trent playing the persistence of loss? i love that song more

  • or maybe and all that could have been or leaving hope?

  • Sorry, I don't have them... Sorry.

I will find them... In Video format, yeah? because I have them in mp3.

    Bye!

  • I second, third, and forth that!

  • Know I've asked b4, but can anyone tell me where this is from? I'd love to know, thx.

  • theres a 2nd cd for And all that could have been called Still, it has a few acoustic versions of songs like Something I can never have, the fragile, the day the world went away, and a few unreleased songs that were supposed to be part of the score for the movie "One hour photo" and the accompanying song to La Mer from the fragile called Adrift and At Peace.

  • I don't think Adrift and At Peace had anything to do with The Fragile/La Mer.

  • "Adrift And At Peace" is the second track on Still, which came out in 2002 as a bonus disc with the Deluxe Edition of the And All That Could Have Been CD and is available through the official Nine Inch Nails website.

Trent Reznor has stated that "Adrift And At Peace" is the conclusion to "La Mer."

  • Ah ok. I have Still, i just didn't know that little tidbit about AAAP and la mer.

  • After Trent, I can't listen to the radio. There is no equal. I love Floyd but....Trent has no equal.

  • this is nice for people who love the album. thanks.

  • Trent Reznor makes some of the most beautiful melodies I have ever listened to. His music feels like a nice, soothing breeze in a hot, humid and terrible weather (music today).

  • how do u know this is trents house?

i read this was in one of their studios

  • I know that is a Studio at Trent's house...

  • It's his house. Studios don't have windows.

  • wtf

there are lots of studios that have windows lol

  • LOL what? A studio can be anywhere, and it doesn't specify "recording" studio.

  • Also bands record in a variety of places such as a cathedral, w/ marble walls to produce natural echo/delay/ambiant background and all that good stuff. BTW studios don't have doors or walls either.lol. What were you thinking.^_^

  • For some reason, the fact that Trent has candles sitting all over his house doesn't surprise me.

  • i like the wind. and the candles. and the curtains. everything fits in his music...

  • magic.

  • These clips of him playing piano are so beautiful and haunting. I'm continally amazed by him. And he's smokin.

  • Do you mean stoned?

  • haha, no I meant sexy. Very sexy.

  • Excelente!!!

  • Love it.

  • Perfecto

  • The "Still" album is such a soothing thing to listen to. Seeing Trent and company playing it like this just furthers that feeling.

Absolutely beautiful. NIN is simply put Legendary.

  • This is pure Brilliance

    What a genius Trent is.

  • That's awesome!

It reminds me of The music of Erich Zann.

For me, this song and this video capture the atmosphere of the story so well.

  • What a great atmosphere!

    I like it so much.

  • fuck off

  • That is real music

    Just amazing

  • Magic......

  • Simply amazing.

No words can describe it. He is saying everything without say a word from his mouth.

The piano, the wind from the window, tha rain sound.. nothing less than perfect

  • Words cannot describe how amazing this truly is.

    The vibe is unbelivable.

Try watching it in pure darkness D=

  • That is the only way to view the melow nin songs is by yourself in a dark room with your eyes closed

you begin to see the music in the dark

    I sound fucking crazy!!!!!!

  • The Downward Spiral is the best shit eveeer !!

    xx

  • Theres nothing I would like to see more than Trent and a grand, performing all of NIN's hit songs - solo.

  • I agree, that would be truly amazing!

  • I still love this album. Is it just me or does everyone else like The Downward Spiral-ish era more than the rest?

  • obviously you missed the hole point if them. i wont comment about with teeth, which in fact is NOT the strongest piece of music out there.

alas, year zero carries a lot more. a deeper, hidden, profound story of what happens after year zero. you cannot understand the lyrics without knowing what vision underlays them. you ever heard about the Presence, Parepins, Bureau of Morality? you better do.

  • agreed.

I miss the point with The Slip as well...Is there a message there? Maybe the concept is that trent has "split away" from the record company and is free to do whatever he wants, so he's just making random songs now and throwing htme on a CD? THey still sound cool though! just not my favourite of his work.

  • yeah, at first i though he was going to quit music, just because he gave the album away for free, so i though he was "giving us The Slip"

  • IO TI AMO TRENT

  • nice!

  • fucking wow

  • amazing album, so chuffed i own it :D

  • I love this song!

  • Amazing song from the brilliant Still
