Bernese Mountain Dogs First Swim of the Season

hey I have a dog like this her name is Matilda and she hates water we took her to the beach when she was a yr old and she saw the water and we think she thought she could step on top without sinking so she took 3 big jumps in and then stopped and was crying so my dad had to pick her up because i was scaried of dropping her and now she HATES WATER when we go outside and she has a drink she doesnt trust us and picks her water bottle up and carrys it away and then drinks it and brings it back! :)

strange..... I have a runt bernese mountain dog and I LOOOOVE him so much be his is a big wimp. he doesnt stick his head out the window, he doesn't swim, and hes horrible socially with other dogs. hes..... hes.... special.

that is not true. there are tons of shy berners and they usually are the runts or the smaller pups. its a problem in the breed, and breeders try to breed away from shy or unsure dogs. very common to get a shy berner, and to be honest, its much better than an aggressive berner which is the other end of the spectrum.
