I would like to think that was not a room full of Canadians but of people who came to hear a performance by a truly amazing musician, and they got lost in an experience and forgot where they were and what they were *supposed* to do and did what they couldn't help doing.

I guess that's one advantage of watching YouTube over going to a concert. I can clap in the middle of a piece without embarrassing anyone. ;-)

Anyway, I'm in unison with you, Yellowttwe, when you say: ARGERICH IS AMAZING!!!

tolarate the applauders...we know--they don't. Big deal. It would happen most anywhere after that performance. There's too much elitism in music, and knowing the concerto's not finished does not make anyone more "sophisticated."
