  • Fuck SST Records man, they're deleting all my favorite Black Flag songs off YouTube. They're going down the WMG path.

They better not touch the Minutemen uploads.

  • BLACK FLAG!

@ CanadianChronic - Susan Gardner (L7) is doing backing vocals.

  • @historicalrecords whos jordans schwartz, i don't know anything about him? is he from a band?

  • @ BarioPunkRock - Jordan Schwartz is the teacher

@ CanadianChronic - Susan Gardner (L7) is doing backing vocals.

  • why is there an ad on BlankTV? is this VEVO?

  • This video is terrible. I mean that in the most awesome way possible.

  • Man, that girls gonna get gang banged.

  • Is that Kim Gordon singing backing vocals ??

  • Queens of the stone age song for the dead :) same intro drums

  • This is what a YouTube video would look like in '84!

  • Comment removed

  • is that greg ginn as the teacher

  • Like many Portishead tracks, this is such an amazing song to hear while doing your girlfriend.

  • i love black flag. they just so different from other hardcore bands

  • Destroy Reality.

  • best punk band from the 80s period!

  • @rebelbrown101 best punk band ever period.

  • Holy shit! the drums at the beggining of this and "song for the dead" by QOTSA is exactly the same. i feel betrayed...oh well, still two kickass songs

  • @KenvsEd5 that wast on accident, it was a tribute

  • This song made me pregnant. And I'm a man.

  • Blank TV is now using ads? Fuckin sell outs.

  • @zonkedhombre its not there fault youtube just puts them there

  • @zonkedhombre Youtube puts ads on videos.

  • 28 people didn't slip it in....

  • legendary !

  • Excellent song and video!

  • Who came here because of Queens of the Stone Age's A song for the Dead ?

  • @stixbunny MOI

  • did i just see a car commerical on a FUCKING BLACK FLAG VIDEO

  • This is the worst and cheesiest video ever, hahaha. Great tune though.

  • @markezov immortal call of the wintermoon is much worse

  • @WorlddestroyGuy No way, that video is GREAT! (In a horrible way of course..)

  • is kim gordon ?

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiaaaa!!!!!! want itt!! try a virgin excelent haha

  • i remember when i was young, listening black flag, and all sort of punk.

i just loved to be free just like all kids in that time, and adults just couldn`t stand it:)

Thats why i respect youth, cause they really started all this rebel thing.

  • Is there really a fucking ad before a black flag video? FML

  • you call em cum-hungry whore hopefuls, I call em friends!

  • i laugh every time i watch this video and see the guy roll up on his skate board at 0:05 and it has no front trucks on it haha

thumbs up if anyone else noticed this xD

  • man punk is the best i feel like its 2011 it seems like a good time to bring back punk and im gonna try and keep it alive

  • @sharpechris1993 fuck yea man im startin a band with one of my friends but it's fuckin hard to find anyone else in my town who even knows what punk is.

  • @sharpechris1993 what are you talking about? punks always been here. Theres venues and even a few stores by me. It's just to many new bands don't make it because they don't have style like back in the day it's all unorigional it gets old.

  • ... I was around when SEX PISTOLS hit & I've STILL got MY boots on... I rip apart any little cry babies who don't understand the shit!

  • @crazy4277 i am with ya...........emo crybabies

  • its all about kieth morris

  • Rollins is the jock he has always whined about except he's preachy, whiny and more suceptible to facist tendencies. Have more respect for Vanilla Ice.

  • @808pb then go listen to vanilla ice you fucking puss!

  • @ourargumentblog that´s why i have a band .because i like this music ,but i don´t like all the day listening .i like playing whit my friends and having fun ,and trying to make an own style

  • 28 people that disliked are lobotomized

  • I miss that record. Rollins is still a douche. But I miss that album.

  • is that kim gordon on back up vocals?

  • @andywarstarforever i've been wondering the same thing

  • @andywarstarforever Nope it was an L7 leader...

  • Damn. The drums. Must be where dave grohl looked for inspiration for song for the dead.

  • wow look at the video quality awesome

  • Guy in the begining can't skate for shit!

  • It's stupid to wish you were around back in the day just so you could be "living it". Sure you missed out on shows, but if you think about it, you'd be missing music too. Now that Punk has came and went, ALL of the music is out there to be heard. If you were around back in the day, you would only be able to hear whatever was already around and you'd always be waiting for something new instead of being able to just want/find something on demand.

  • I looked this up after I heard "a song for the dead" because it's intro is a tribute to it. And I'm glad I looked it up

  • @skankin45 You need to read this: microcosmpublishing ( dot ) com/catalog/books/40 Book your own fucking life -- also byofl ( dot ) org/

Be the change you want to see. Play really good and the players will find you.

  • Myspace is both super lame and super gay (not in the republican sense.) But yeah- I agree- it's a free venue where lots of people can proffer their audio.

  • @Tobylifehater You can do the same thing on last.fm, but it has the bonus of not being a faggy social networking site.

  • sounds like that kim chick from sonic youth

  • @Dorakskel Gordon

  • @Dorakskel It is.

  • oh yeah!!!! was a headbanger in the 80's but finding out im really a punk rocker :)

  • I am now 48 - Been jamming to them since in was 21 - Fuckin' Jam !!

  • so wait...."ourarumentblog" has been 19 since he was born? thats crazy man, ill bet ur moms vagina hurt like hell when you came out

  • @MrSamlbld

Nah, his mom is just loose as hell. Trust me.

  • Greg Ginn was magical. Anybody that disagrees can either pull out his gold album he sold out of the back of his car, or shut the hell up. I guess Billie Joe Armstrong can argue, but he wouldn't.

  • awesome

  • I can't skate, I suck at it, I can't even ollie, but at least I dont suck as bad as that dudE!

  • @KJ0012 HAHA wow

  • Slip it IN!!!!!!!

  • That kid had mongo foot up the ass.

  • Felt my heart skip a bit.

  • Comment removed

  • rollins is a buttock ranger

  • why are all the girls in the front so ugly. I am pretty sure one of these girls is a guy

  • @TheBlomberFactory that's what i was thinking

  • drums from qotsa 'song for the dead'.......exact same!

  • @nigellinaballerina just what i was thinking! too bad, i always thought this qotsa intro was unique

  • @Nemorosus yeah same here! friend just randomly pointed it out to me that there was something strange about the drums for the song and i was like! WOW WTF?! ha

  • @nigellinaballerina haha yes, still cool intro's, both of them...the drums are making it!

  • greg ginn has become my favorite guitarist

  • the audi in the beging is so awsome

  • A prequel horror of the Greg Ginn legacy...

  • Black Flag made videos?!?!?

  • Why are they at school talking about slipping it in?

  • this intro was the inspiration for dave grohl and his intro fill of queens of the stone age's song for the dead.

    really cool

  • @nanubuntu so was man

  • Ginn shredding

  • I had this song on a mix that I brought to the school gym. I always noticed that the other guys who were working out there usually got a bit more aggressive with their workouts when this track came on. One time a professor who was in the weight room stepped out for a moment and came back with a miniature padlock in his hand. He unplugged the stereo towards the end of the song and slipped the small padlock through the hole in the metal tong of the plug so we couldn't put it back into the outlet.

  • 7 minutes !?!

  • @BarrioPunkRock

    Yep

This album as you probably know was very Metal influenced

I think they did it quite well though

  • @sorethroat91 ya thats a little unnormal for punk

and yea i agree i feel like this is a little like metal

  • @sorethroat91

...more like very weed influenced ;-p

  • @KaraNoise

and it's great to hear after a bowl! hahaha

  • You say you don't want it, but you slip it in anyway.

  • Desperate Teenage Lovedolls? The l7 girls sounds like Kim Gordon.

  • This music video ruined this song for me.

  • Fuckin' classic!! I was only 11 years old when this came out and now I'm 36. Still have the old Slip It In LP but the record's scratched to death.

  • The begining of the song seems like song for the dead by qotsa. It's the same shit. Epic Songs!

  • thats the class i want to take

    BlACK FLAG class

  • yor a loser now as you were

  • 3 + 3 = SEX

  • YOU SLIP IT IN! Black Flag kicks ass!

  • thiiiss was filmed at the high school i go to..... fuuuuuuckyeeah

  • back up vocals were provided by a 15-year old Suzi Gardner (later of L7 fame). This "obscure" information is provided on the back cover of the Slip It In LP in nice bold print. scum meter goes up a notch. these guys were the real deal.

  • Actually, to all those wondering, I looked it up. It is Kim Gordon on backing vocals. Kim Gordon of course being the bassist and vocalist for the glorious band that is Sonic Youth.

  • @LivesUnderABridge sorry but it's not Kim, it's Suzi Gardner (pre L7)

  • Is that Kim Gordon with the female vocals?

  • I seen BLACK FLAG in Chicago at the Metro 2 times back in the 80's.... once with bald henry then with hippie henry... its was a great time for this type of music. their were punk shows every week and very cheap think i paid 10 bucks to see BLACK FLAG the last time.

  • @RampSlave I saw BK back in the 80's too..hippie Henty..then bald antagonistic Henry...he gave a guy in the front a good kicking...it was great..lolol...have see his one man show thing last yr....I'm not sure...I prefer him in a pair of jack boots any day of the week...still a mighty impressive looking chap tho...lolol

  • @donteateggs666, the thing is yeah shit comes on the radio, but shit always came on the radio, they had great punk and hardcore underground then and great punk and hardcore is still underground, you cant find it on mtv you have to scour your local scenes and scenes cities around. its probably easier now if you try hard enough because we have the internet, zines still exist and house shows still exist, just find them.

  • Quit grousing. Start a band and do what you want to hear. We did it. There was no scene- we made it.

It's harder now in some ways- the cops are way more efficient about shutting shit down. But hey- you have the internet and computers- we had scissors, tape, public transit and xerox machines.

Go do it- you're counting on you. ;)

  • @Tobylifehater Thank god. I've been trying to say that. Its so much easier for my generation. My only problem is I live in a small town in rural Kansas so its harder to just find enough dedicated like minded individuals.

  • @Tobylifehater I've been trying to say the same thing to people. I always say "if kids in the 80's could do it, we sure as hell can." My problem is I live in a small town in rural Kansas and its hard to find dedicated like minded individuals.

P.S. I really admire what the hardcore generation did. It was Green Day a long time ago that got me interested in music, after I watched American Hardcore and got into bands like Black Flag, Adolescents, Minor Threat, it gave me ambition to start a band

  • @Tobylifehater really? and who da fuck r u to taunt the 'kid'? u did it and look at u now. an old fart with nothin better to do but talk shit. at least u had XEROX machines. do everybody a favour and shut da fuck up and stay in retirement but mostly tone down your patronising attitude if u can

  • @MrNoTrash hey juicehead shutup

  • i believe that girl talking to henry is the singer for L7

  • @devilred1971 My guess is that its their bassist, Kira Roessler (who is his ex-girlfriend). I'm not sure at all, but its most likely her.

  • THIS IS MY COCK WHEN I SAW THAT FUCKING HOT BABE AT 1:08:

    8======D

  • WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

if i were a guy...i would give up my left nut to see that tour.. :(

  • the girl the teacher calls up is H-O-T

  • just wondering whats the name of the guy playing the teacher?

  • 3:55 3 + 3 = Sex. lol.

  • At least QotSA put it to good use and didn't make some crappy cover or something that pansy boys do nowadays. Though I think a QotSA cover would be pretty sweet.

  • fuck man, qotsa stole the begin of this song, listen song for the dead its the same

  • @ietsmeteenr well maybe, remember especially DG says BFlag is his favourite alltime-band ..

  • the 21st century sucks asssss

  • Who is the female in the background saying slip it in? It sounds a lot like Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth

  • @Missthumper83 Yea but it's actually one of the girls from L7.

  • I was born in 91, i live in the uk and i listen to Thrash and Hardcore all the time. Fuck what everyone else is listening to.

  • I REMEMBER WHEN THIS RECORD CAME OUT . POOL SKATING WAS BETTER BACK THEN AS WELL!

  • Man that kid cant skate

  • @BarrioPunkRock It Only Has 2 Wheels The Board :S

  • @BarrioPunkRock

    exactly what I was thinking...

  • @BarrioPunkRock The board only has 2 wheels

  • @kevrighteous ohhh

    hahahaha i didnt knoe that

  • slip it in is definetaly one of my lonely island records^^

  • just realized its supposed to be an all girl school. looks like they filled in the class with a few transvestites. wtf

  • You got to love the playing of greg ginn. He is the poor mans tony iommi, I mean that in a good way. Although he may appear to be unskilled there were no loose sounds to his playing.

  • I was born in 93 too man, why do I have to identify with shitty emo or fucking hipster crap, I live for the punk scene.

Punk was about something, being liberal and pissed with fascists like Reagan and Bush.

BF,BadR, and minor threat are the shit.

  • This is Hardcore!

  • Mount up!

  • The border must see this!!! Do I have to watch this?YES YOU DO!!!

  • AHHH! Dave Grohl got the drum intro and beat for "Song for the Dead" off of this. I knew QOTSA weren't all originality. Everyone rips off something.

  • Dayglo Abortions are still kicking it, if you want some good ol' Victoria, BC punk

  • Town in revolution! Yeaaah.

  • i was born in 83 makes no differents the bullshits everywhere

  • hail bill stephenson, of descendants... best punk drummer... ever. and don't worry eggs, they sold out too. or disappeared. one or the other. that's what everyone does after forty, or whenever there's a new hairstyle out.

  • The first loop of battery it's similar to a song of queens of the stone age. The 4° track of '' Songs for the deaf ''

  • the drums in a song for the dead by queens of the stone age are exactly the same as the drums in this song

  • 1:09 almost made me throw up...I forgot how ugly girls could get back then....

  • black flag rules ! shame Henry don't get back with the band! the Ginn's knew how work Mr Rollins the best ! keep it pure and crude . ruff and to the point. the normal want to Be's freaked out at Henry ,but Henry now they try to be.. fuck its in , (the scream) is probably the best example what i loved about black flag though. but this is fun!

  • black flag was the shit , but they started to get a little weak near the end...henrys spoken-word and "nothing left inside" are just embarrasing...

  • I didnt mean it as a bad thing either

  • does anyone else think the drumming in song for the dead are pretty similar. I mean the fill at the begging on the sanre is just this.

  • the intro from song for the dead is actually an homage to these drums haha.

  • i mean lyrically. i love black flag.

  • song is fucked up haha

  • Dont eat eggs 666,

Your just a little bitch huh?

  • The beginning of the this song is one of the best openings to a punk track i have heard. ginns squeaky guitar, kiras bass is unsurpassabble for taut, tight punk rock. heard it first over 20 years ago and have revisited. Fuck me- offspring!!

  • I love the silly girls from Teenage Desperate Lovedolls

  • Comment removed

  • Who is the teacher? Dez Cadena?

  • Our views have gone up :)

  • Fucked a woman at the beginnig of the 90's and the song played in the background from tape with the same quality! Give me back my past!!!! Lol

  • Is that Sindi from Lunachicks in the middle of the front row?

  • Could be Gina on the left...

  • Dammit! Why the fuck did I have to be born in '93! All I'm stuck with is a bunch of sell-out, wannabe, wanna-look hardcore bands that suck ass! Fuck MTV, Hot Topic, and all that bullshit on the radio.

  • born in '94, I couldn't agree more

  • @DontEatEggs666 i feel ya bro

  • @DontEatEggs666 well said, i was born in 91... completly missed all the great music and everyone that was worth listening to died a couple of years after... damn you cobain lol

    love black flag

  • at least you were eight when the dreamcast came out and yeah i agree with you ALOT of good music is from the 90's and 80's and i'm thirteen.
