The Church did not give ANY money to the Yes on 8 Campaign. Tithe money DID NOT go to this. All the church did was ask members to do all they could to see Prop 8 passed. It was INDIVIDUAL Members who gave large donations, and they were taxed as political contributions. True, the LDS donated over 50% of the total funds, but as individual members, not representing the church as a whole. The assertions that are being made by these protestors are completely false.
This is so saddening that they want to keep people that love each other from marrying. They clain to be for family yet they use fear of something they dont understand and hate to make people support their objectives.
Its purely PURITANISTIC BEHAVIOUR!! and extremely appualing!!! :(
Where do you think that money came from? From the tithes and offerings of the members. They were charitable donations, and have already been taxed. I paid taxes on my 10%, thank you very much.

It's not hate, it's a difference of beliefs. And we didn't want to be subjected to participation in your beliefs. Whatever happened to freedom of religion?
Well, excuse me for your different beliefs. Ppl may have different beliefs, but they DO NOT take rights from other ppl. For example: Christians do not take away rights from Buddhists, Hindu etc.
Crowds cannot make right what God has declared to be wrong.

I'd like to see them try this in South Central LA especially since 70% of African Americans & the majority of Latinos voted in FAVOR of Prop 8.

no to our hate?
what, all I have seen is threats from the NO on Prop 8 people!
Our churches and Temples are being protected by police because of your HATE!
Time for a reality check!

The Mormon cult picked this fight. Gays must now defend ourselves. We will never stop fighting for equality. Never. Ever.
And your weird little cult's "temples" need protection because you are evil. Not because you wear magic underpanties.
