@rva25 they didn't ignore him, he screwed up the concerto (especially the last movement) due to the stress, i guess! he could'nt be winner, because the stress got to him, and it would'nt be fair to ther others...
in life there is talent, and and learn how to control your stress;
and he IS a great pianist, in my opinion this was one the of the best etudes 10 n1, in this competition
@ericsteph I still think he deserved 4-5 prize, I know, he screwed up the concerto a littlebit so what? Bozhanov absolutely failed in the concerto and the gave him 4th prize... Nicolay was much better than Dumont(5th prize) at least... Btw, how about the "winner"? Is it fair to the others?)))
@rva25 I totally agree with you, about bozhanov, but I think bozhanov's big personality kind of impressed a lot of members... sometimes pure talent like nikolay is omitted, unfortunately...
And I agree with u about dumont, i was shoked^ he wasn't better than those who were left behind
I liked Avdeeva (personally) may be you're one of the people who were shoked by her prize. I totally respect your opinion, but don't forget it's a piano competition not a math one! it'll always be subjective
@ericsteph yeah, unfortunately this competition(like many others now)- was a real medley of questions, misunderstandings and offences.... and absolutely shocking and unfair final( in my opinion). Btw, I wasn't shock by Avdeeva's first prize, but I was schocked by her playing)). and when she won, I thougt it;s a bad dream or this "honorable jury" just decided to have little fun with public). But it was terrible and ugly joke)).

I fell in love with his apperance. I think there is no pianist like Nicolay in the Chopin Competition. I wish I meet him on one of his concert.
