  • This is why you have so many false converts in the church. There are actually bible verses that explain this. This is idiotic. Matthew 22:14 ,For many are called but few are chosen and John 6:65 No one can come to me unless the Father draws Him , also in Acts 13:48 When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. Also faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of GOD. It is called nimnuisim.

  • I don't reject Jesus.

Neither do I reject Horus, Mithra, Poseidon or Zeus. How many gods do you have to believe in and have a relationship with in order to not risk being tortured forever?

  • hmmm... "Christianity-based hatred of Jews"...? Really? From what little I know, the heros of Christians in the bible are all Jews.... so it's seem strange to say that hatred of Jews can possibly be related to Christianity. Maybe some cast based religion....

  • His fake humility and smugness run pretty thick. (Notice he can't present a positive argument--because he doesn't have one.)

  • His self-absorption is matched only by his triteness.

  • 14 people are hard headed :3

  • "If Jesus is the true way to God, then why have so many people rejected Him?" It states clearly in the bible that God has made the heart of man hard, and some people will not be able to understand his words because of this. It also says that a light has come into the world, to a people of the darkness, they are the people of the darkness because their deeds are evil, those who come to the light know the words of God are true.

  • @RageAgainstNWO Thanks for posting this!!!! I'm amazed at how unbiblical this guys answer is- and he's supposed to be respected in the Christian community???

  • @mdhaskins1 Why would you say his answers are unbiblical? I'm curious to know your thoughts on it. I think these answers are consistent with scripture and scientific research on how we make decisions.

  • This guy has some good views

  • I also have to say, I have never seen a Youtube comment section with such affluent intellects. Normally I'm even pissed off at my own 'side,' but here everything is worded beautifully :D

I wish this guy could see our deconversion experiences. He has no idea what it takes to break from your own community (literally a Christian commune for me), to disbelieve in Heaven and to accept reason and kindness instead of Creationism. I mean, people who disbelieve in evolution argue against cold facts...

  • 'That's human nature. Fallen human nature.'

Are people aware that the 'fallen' human has more knowledge, particularly of good and evil, than Adam and Eve?

By calling us fallen, he is admitting that he is a believer in the Jewish creation myth, which states that an angel with a firey sword is STILL sitting at the mouth of the Tigriss and Euphrates River. A land known for it's lapis lazuli and gold, which God loves.

Somebody of such belief has NO right given anybody a speech about reason.

  • Why does the flippancy of the term 'bend the knee' fill me with such anger. Perhaps its out of empathy for the multitudes who have lived their lives without this fragile freedom we take for granted - those who have suffered under dictatorships, abusive parents, abusive teachers, religious sociopathy. I will not 'bend the knee' lightly to ANYTHING that requires I give up my moral dignity and self respect, or the potential to grow into a fully responsible, thinking and feeling, adult human being.

  • Your attempt at parroting haughty condescension does not conceal your lack of a real education nor your delusional bent. You believe you have imaginary friends who tell you how to run your life, and who have the power to circumvent all the laws of science. You are plagued by a childish kind of magical thinking that has convinced many to commit atrocities over the past 1,700 years. There are those who find it useful to humor your ilk your lack of cognitive ability; I am not one of those.

  • It looks like he's talking to a coat rack in his mother's basement, pretending he's being interviewed. Lame theatrics. Pretentious and sad.

  • @bc9021010001 ROFL -- Rupert Pupkin, with a Bible.

  • @bc9021010001 He is *not* talking to a coat rack. He is talking to a gay prostitute, odds are, from a summary review of recent media Bible thumpers.

  • Comment removed

  • Correction: I meant to say "... Bible as a phenomenON. ..." of course.

  • Oh and the answer to the question "Why do so many people reject Jesus?" is simply common sense. Most people are not criminally insane and do not believe they have imaginary magic friends who tell them to kill gay boys.

  • 1. Jesus consistently offered evidence, so blind faith is not required, nor encouraged by the Lord our God, Jesus. He basically said, "Hey, if you don't believe what I say, LOOK @the miracles I perform! Or, what is easier, your sins are forgiven, or get up? Get up! 2. Jesus tells us why people don't come to Him. It's right in John 3:19 - "This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil."

  • @nowaydudebook You cannot offer Biblical claims as evidence for Biblical claims.

  • Comment removed

  • Bible thumpers who take the Bible on faith are much more respectable than those making ridiculous claims for its historical accuracy. That's a losing game, and pathetic. Those who take it on faith can at least be credited with sanity.

  • @freestuffffff for someone claiming that Christianity bore hatred on jews, sure has a lot of hatred themselves. Judging peoples faith and beliefs.

  • @vogue321 Rational people stating facts about the history of Christianity is not hate, it's just the facts. Christians have been committing mass murder and slowing progress for centuries. The Bible commands them to be intolerant in the extreme. Same with Jews and Muslims. The ignorant laws of all these religions currently demand the death penalty for gay boys. If you don't want rational people talking about your madness keep your dirty little secrets private inside your tax-free churches.

  • @funboy7979 again, you obviously have not read the word. There is nothing about killing "gay boys", I am a born again christian, my eldest brother is gay. Do i agree with his lifestyle? no... but do i hate him, or judge him? no.. that goes against everything i believe. I have just as many issues as the next person. The main message in Christianity is love... so whoever your talking about obviously doesn't follow the words and live like christ.

  • @vogue321 Lifestyle? Your vocabulary proves you've been brainwashed. You can no more separate the homosexual from homosexuality than you can separate the heterosexual from heterosexuality. This "hate the sin love the sinner" bullshit is a pernicious word game calculated to perpetuate the myth of second class citizenship for gay people. Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lie with a man as with a woman it is an abomination. They both must be put to death. Their blood shall be upon their heads."

  • @vogue321 You obviously have not read your own Big Book of Gay-Hating, Genocide-Promoting, Slavery-Loving Fairy Tales. Most former Christians who become atheists left their church because they finally sat down and read that shit word for word. Good Luck.

  • @vogue321 Read your own fucking book why don't you? Many ex-Christians became atheists after actually finally reading what their asshole primitive superstitions teach. Might I recommend you begin with the criminal insanity known as the Book of Leviticus?

  • @funboy7979 The Old Testament saw paradise lost; the New Testament shows how paradise was regained for mankind through the christ and how it will one day be restored. The Old Testament declares that man was separated from God through sin, and the New Testament declares that man can now be restored in his relationship to God.

  • @vogue321 The first reel saw Dorothy blown to Oz in a tornado, the last reel shows how Dorothy was returned to Kansas through the Glinda the Good Witch of the North. The first reel declares that Dorothy was alienated from Auntie Em through discontent, and the last reel declares that Dorothy can now find her heart's desire in her own back yard. Hail Dorothy, full of grace !!!

  • @funboy7979 Our Wizard, who art in Emerald City, hallowed be thy name ...

  • Sad, sitting all alone in front of a sheet hanging in your basement, talking to a coat rack after turning on your camcorder, pretending to be responding to questions. Sad, sad, sad.

  • @freestuffffff Huh? This guy is nationally renowned. There's no pretense at all. What you're doing is pure slander.

  • Who *is* this babbling buffoon?

  • @bc9021010001 an individual who is infinitely more intelligent and honest than you will ever conceive of being. that's who.

  • @anewdayproductions Then why does he spin bullshit for a living, bullshit that does great harm to people at that?

  • @bc9021010001 just keep digging that grave. it's you who's going to lie in it.

  • @anewdayproductions Typical Christian lunatic hate comment.

  • @bc9021010001 typical bullshit senselessness from a lying fool.

  • @anewdayproductions Your Invisible Cloud Father is calling you -- he wants you to vacuum his cloud. Better go now ... that's right, run along ... the adults need to talk here.

  • @bc9021010001 really intelligent.

  • @anewdayproductions I love when retarded people attempt sarcasm.

  • @bc9021010001 That buffoon is your conviction.

  • @bc9021010001 Jesus said if i'em persecuted then you'll be persecuted

  • Most people are still waiting to hear a good reason - rational or emotional.. as to why accepting jesus the "smart thing"

All life, including human life, grew out of the earth and survives through the creativity of its own impulse. This is the truth that deserves respect and dignity. 'Bending the knee' to a supernatural spaceman character removes that dignity and makes a mockery of who we actually are.

  • I admit, I have rejected Jesus. My defense is that I have rejected most of those people who have died in the past, during the history. I just can´t keep not-rejecting them. Too much to remember. But this doesn´t mean that I do not maybe like them, respect them etc. I just can´t keep not-rejecting millions and millions of people.

  • @bc9021010001

Who can teach me and tell what us ROFL?

I suppose it is shortening for something, but what?

    Thanks.

  • @WillyDillyWillyDilly I will, I will. But first, how about GFE -- Google Fucking Exists?

  • @freestuffffff

Yes it does. But I´m sure everyone here knows it does exist.

  • @WillyDillyWillyDilly if you knew Google exists, why didn't you use it to look up "ROFL?"

  • @funboy7979

For the same reason that you want to use rude, low class, unpolite language with people: we want to communicate.

  • @WillyDillyWillyDilly Impolite. The word is impolite. As in, it is impolite to claim to speak a language you never bothered to learn.

  • @WillyDillyWillyDilly Typical babble of a delusional hypocrite. Points for the knee jerk condescension though.

  • @freestuffffff Why even bother. Christian lunatics are stunted.

  • :) yup

  • ¡ Por favor !

  • Mr. Koukl, you make some good points here, but with an erroneous assumption under the surface that this only applies to non-believers. The title of the video could have easily been "Why do people accept Jesus?"

  • @yogurtking

the key difference is his use of "smart"

  • @moretap how do you mean?

  • @yogurtking

Taking this video in the context of Koukl's other videos one can see what he defends as "smart" regarding accepting or rejecting Jesus.

  • Hitler was a psychopath that enjoyed watching films of Jews being gassed and strangled with piano wire. Psychiatrists say he had a deep fear that he had undiscovered Jewish ancestors. Anyone can compare his actions to scripture and see they don't wash.

  • I am sure that I, as well as innumerable people, have tried, and still trying, my very best for a couple of years -others tried for numerous years- to dismiss being emotional, biased, prejudiced, or confusing family bonds; culture; with religion, while studying Christianity -or any Religion which I do not follow-, and I did not find it to be true.

  • @waylifetruth ahh, i see, the old "join us or something BAD is gonna happen" approach... i see through your shit! ;3

  • people do not seek God becuz they believe that THEY are at the center of the universe.

Jeremiah 29: 13 "You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart"

  • Great claims, require Great evidence.

  • Part 2

So its not about gathering data or logic. Its about being like a child and surrendering. It is God and God alone who reveals Christ as fact to our minds when we ask. Its not a rational clue finding mission--if that were true only the smart people would be saved.

God has chosen to save based on our humble response to him--not some detective mission. Forget atheists. They're irrelevant. Pray for those who believe there is a god but are afraid to ask about Christ for fear its true.

  • Part 1

There arent a lot of atheists--there are next to none in %. There are a lot of Jesus deniers.

The speaker is good but doesnt seem to get one thing. It is not rational to believe in Christ. There is doubt so there could be faith or Jesus would be on CNN. Doubt exists so a person will personally communicate with God and ask if Christ is real--like a child. You have to lay aside your arrogance to do this and thats why so many will be lost.

Its sad that all one has to do is ask but few do.

  • An all-knowing and all-loving God would not demand that we believe in something that is not rational.

  • A strictly material universe with no transcendent reality can't account for your sense of rationality. You must assume His existence in order to deny Him. I would hate to have to reason in that fashion.

  • great point. I couldn't agree more. Could you explain a little what you mean by that?

  • And if we received a good, rational argument for the very existence of God and Christ, we would believe.

We've never received one, therefore we don't believe.

  • Yes you have. No you wouldn't.

  • You're an idiot.

  • Yeah, but you still know God exists.

  • No, I don't. I don't believe any God exists.

  • I don't believe you. I deny the existence of atheists. You see I just don't have enough evidence that they actually exist.

  • @the13thof12 I know God exists. He exists in your little fantasy land, just floating about in your frontal lobe, causing you to believe stupid shit that has almost no evidence... So yes, God IS real, just in that indoctrinated head of yours.

  • @jeffsandychelsea No evidence, huh? Your sense of outrage at a belief you see as false is pretty good evidence. If I am just a bunch of chemical reactions that evolved from other chemical reactions then I am not subject to the personal convictions of some other bag of chemical reactions (you). And yet you know that right and wrong are transcendent. You don't want people believing, or promulgating what you see as lies. Cont......

  • @jeffsandychelsea Cont.....

Why? You see, you must borrow from my worldview (the idea of objective morality) in order to argue against it. That is the opposite of rational, clear thinking.

  • All of the reasons he offers for people to reject Jesus are exacly the same reasons they accept Jesus.

I would like to think that my reasons for rejecting religion as myth are rational.

  • lol, is he talking about himself or 'other' people? hahah because it can be seen either way.

  • I don't like how this guy keeps trying to imply that accepting Jesus is the "smart" thing to do. At the end of the video he goes on about how people reject Christ becuase they are stubborn or "bullheaded". This is not the case. People reject the claims of Christianity becuase they don't make enough sense.

Christians are the stubborn ones. They roundly reject rational and logical explanations of the Universe because thier biblical beliefs make them feel warm and cozy, and others do not. pathetic

  • I don't see why the logial explanation and religion exclude each other. I think people who reject religious explanation is because they take it literally, while I think it's a symbolic interpretation.

  • SInce you mentioned the Universe, think about how well assembles everything is, from the way the planets are alligned, our DNA, our brain which works like a computer, the natural circuit, the laws of physics, and many other things. Each person can call it any way they want, and give an interpretation according to what makes them feel good.

  • But it's obvious that the world we live in and ourselves are based on precise mathematical laws. Why is it so disturbing that this Universe we are part of is some sort of higher intelligence, I would dare to say a collective intelligence? IT doesn't matter whether we call it God or nature, like I said we can all interpret according to our liking...

  • so? that doesnt prove god exists, it just proves that u were an alcoholic, it is not my fault that u were a drunken and that u were not a good person before, it only proves that u needed a motivation to do good, and i have already passed through what u have ,i felt his presence and all that stuff, thats why i am an atheist now, i realized how many wrong this there are with God and how deluted we are when by just a feeling we make him real, and liars r not exactly good but neither deserve hell

  • because u r not willing to do good without the need of a God , u r willing to let ur bad side flower if there is no god, i have lied ,but it is just normal, that doesnt make me a bad person, i have good feelings , and i never said anything about that i support abortion or drunkness, u r just assuming i do, thats the problem with u ppl that u generalize and attribute those kind of things to us, christians have participated too, ur god has wicked ways, he tells u to murder in his laws and etc...

  • my mother is real, i can see her i can toucht her i can literally talk with her, god is none of that, it is just a feeling that u assume it is his presence (the same happens with any other religion), u have never seen him or touched him and he has never talked to u with actual words

  • This is why so many people are atheists. They think of God as some sort of person you can have coffe or play chess with. If I thought that, I wouldn't believe either.

  • if u think man is naturally evil, then i feel so sorry for u, and the ppl like u is the ones that make this world a bad place, if u need God to be good then u r a wicked one, i dont need God to be a good person, in fact i think i am better than god, he is all powerful and yet he will condemn us to eternal suffering just because of a mistake of his when he created us

the real issue with religion and god, is ¨do u really need to believe in God to be a good person?¨

  • Resistance exists against any change of belief. Vocally committed people always feel prideful pressure against changing their position. Additionally, I'd argue that for many reasons, it's much easier for an atheist to become a Christian than visa versa. Christianity, like a cult, promises infinite perfect love and great emotional rewards for total surrender and commitment, along with horrible punishments for outsiders or anyone falling away.

  • Sometimes it's just plain old stubbornness and rebellion that keep people from doing the smart thing... becoming followers of Krishna. There's an unjustified presumption here of the truth, or at least superior rationality, of Christianity.

  • For a lot of people it's pride (the bending of the knee). Pride causes people to justify to themselves very strongly their own previous beliefs. It is a slap to the pride for an atheist for instance to say, I ws wrong and Christians are right.

  • I agree with your statement, but the vise versa is also true. It is also pride , the fear of being conceived as wrong, that blinds Christians from understanding other belief systems. This is what lead to many religious persecutions and conflicts in History. Whether you go to Mecca, pray to Jesus, or study the characters of quarks, the pride in what you do and what you believe in will always stimulate the desire to prove the other parties wrong.

  • to become christian means to ask no questions, just accept it as the truth, and live happy with that,, christians wont bend their knee, they think hey are right, they come with an ilogical explanation to things they cant explain, they attribute everything to god and things happen by magic, being christian is being lazy about wanting to find the truth, thins dont work like that, if u dont bend ur knee and accept with humbleness that u might be wrong then nothing will change

  • You are extremely, EXTREMELY ignorant

  • ok , so i am ignorant, do u know it all so u can come and tell me that? or just because a book says so u think u r right?

  • I reject jesus and the idea of god because I like to think for my self. I prefer to be good for goodness sake, not because of big brother is looking. Believers behave good to please god, how contemptible.

  • Good video

  • Koukl doesn't mention something very important, that happens to be a very firm and fundamental belief of his. I wish he would just be upfront in his response to the video's question.

He is very Reformed and Calvinist in his thinking.

Therefore, his simple and upfront answer should be that people are Totally Depraved (i.e. dead in their sins) and are literally unable to come to faith in Jesus, unless God graciously gives them the faith. Their situation is quite hopeless, unless God acts.

  • Hitler was not a Christian. Hitler was a classic hypocrite (someone who says they believe something they really don't believe at all). I don't know why that's so hard for some people to accept. You think someone like him was too proud or too virtuous to lie a little? Hitler was just smart enough to know that you can't break free from opium addiction cold turkey.

  • Yes, Hitler is akin to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Savarkar was an atheist but used (corrupted) Hindu principles to spread Hindutva (ethnic Hindu nationalism).

These people are just hypocrites as you say. Hitler was not Christian.

  • I have to part ways with Koukl on this one. Fallen man is DEAD in sin, and NOT ONE of them would EVER choose Christ if left on their own. It takes God to save a person, and the reason that not many repent and accept Jesus is that God has not chosen the majority to draw to Himself, at least not so far.

  • Take your fucked up superstitions and shove them up your ignorant ass. This world could be a paradise without the Judeo-Christian genocidal death cult. Why does this jerk get to rake in a million dollars tax free every year? Why do I have to subsidize this evil crap?

  • People reject the Judeo-Christian death cult because it is an evil construct supporting a worldwide empire controlled by a small elite. They use their totally fucked up propaganda to control the minds of everyday working people and bend them to their will. True spirituality has nothing to do with asshole used car salesmen spewing the kind of crap heard in this video.

  • Notice how Judeo-Christian propagandists are careful to say, "Show me in the Bible where it says nonbelievers in Jesus should be killed?" The Old Testament has the God of the Hebrews command death to nonbelievers. Jesus in the New testament said I and my father are one, and that every word of every old law remains in force forever.

This is why genocide inflicted by Judeo-Christian death squads has gone on for centuries and still does today.

  • "Jesus in the New testament said I and my father are one, and that every word of every old law remains in force forever."

" 17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law UNTIL EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED"

  • John 19:30

When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

I guess if you're willing to change what the Bible actually says you can make it say whatever you want

  • Agreed. Does a rational person really look at this video and fall for this tripe?Rebellion?Stubborness? No.Rational people reject ideas like in these videos.

  • bc9021010011, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Christianity is the best thing that has ever happened to the world. I strongly suggest you read "How Christianity Changed the World" by Dr. Alvin J. Schmidt.

  • If christianity has contributed with something to the world, it is the untouchable certainty that you are good, when you do very bad things.

In a historic perspective slavery, torture, persecution, genocide, bigotry have all been embraced and defended by the religious, with the approval of generations of clergy men and supported by quotations from your holy book.

  • "If christianity has contributed with something to the world, it is the untouchable certainty that you are good, when you do very bad things."

That whole notion is nonsense. The whole message of Christianity is that we are not good people. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

It is only by Gods grace that we become holy in God's sight. You have a misconception of what the Bible teaches. Just like your misconception of Christian history.

  • Really? so during the Crusades and the Inquisition, in which millions of people were murdered/slaughtered in the name of christianity, is that how Christianity proves it believes in the sanctity of life? What about when God orders the slaughter of innocent tribes, including women and children, is that because life is "sacred" to him"????

    PLEASE.

  • iamkep - your comment is so ludicrous I am having trouble controlling myself as I respond...what the HELL are you talking about? How is Christianity "the best thing that happened to the world?" give ONE specific example, please, to back up your ASININE statement.

  • Wow, really I don't even know where to start. I don't even have enough room to start.I'll start with the concept of sanctity of human life.Infanticide, child abandonment, abortion, human sacrifices, suicide were all common practices of pagan cultures before and after Christianity. All of these are condemned by Christianity.Christianity was proactive in stopping these atrocities due to its belief that life is valuable.I challenge you read "How Christianity Changed the World" by Dr.Alvin J Schmidt

  • That's a good book, cheers, I'm going to read that.

It's amazing how many people in this day and age forget that the origin of universities, schools, hospitals, the abolition of the slave trade, equal rights, the welfare system etc... are rooted in the bible!

  • Or in Pagan Greece...

  • But many pagan societies don't and didn't practice that. For instance, Hinduism puts paramount importance on life, Jainism even more so and so does Buddhism. Almost all traditionalist members of these faiths are opposed to most of the issues in your argument.

  • Maybe... but Hindus traditionally have the caste system that even Gandhi couldn't get rid of, Jainism puts humans on par with insects, and Buddhism rejects the self. Not interested.

  • The caste system is more political than religious. Lord Krishna defined the different types of jobs, he did not put them into different social castes with some being superior and others inferior. Jains actually respect all life, yes even insects...what is so wrong with that?

But some would argue that Christianity rejects the self; you become subserviant to another and other regard the idea of hell as cruel and unwarranted.

Also, who are responsible for most holy wars? Christians and Muslims.

  • You see, you cannot just say ''not interested'' and showing the faults with other faiths when most of them are present in your own (Cast system: Priests and the divine rights of kings etc).

You are not interested in other faiths because this faith is either just closer to your idea of GOD or because you were raised in it...and that is fair enough. ;-)

  • Wow, really I don't even know where to start. I don't even have enough room to start.I'll start with the concept of sanctity of human life.Infanticide, child abandonment, abortion, human sacrifices, suicide were all common practices of pagan cultures before and afer Christianity. All of these are condemned by Christianity.Christianity was proactive in stopping these atrocities due to its belief that life is valuable.I challenge you read "How Christianity Changed the World" by Dr.Alvin J Schmidt

  • LOL, yeah, if you don't convert to the Judeo-Christian death cult you're prejudiced. That's the usual propaganda. Chritianity is institutionalized bigotry, genocidal insanity. We have lost the cultural history of so many ancient peoples because Christian missionaries obliterated it, while slaughtering the people into submission. Any group practicing a convert-or-die policy is not something any thinking, decent person would want to join.

Christianity is all murder, lies & political power.

  • i could say i dont want to be an atheist because of Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Phol Pot.....any group that slaughters over 50 million people in a century is not something any thinking, decent person would not want to join. Let's be honest, where is the "convert-or-die policy" found in the Bible?

  • Guy, are you really serious about that question? How many times is the term "hell" used in the Bible as a supposed punishment for people who disagree with the supposed teachings on xianity? You would have to be less than intellectually honest not to see this. The entire movement is based upon punishing people for disagreement. Apologetics have tried to make accepting Jesus and his teachings some sort of gift, but the bottom line is that xians believe in a "hell" as a punishment for nonbelivers.

  • that did not answer my question. i was asking where in the bible does it say that you should be killed if you do not become a follower of Jesus?

"the bottom line is that xians believe in a "hell" as a punishment for nonbelivers." this is not true. hell is punishment for sins, not lack of belief in Jesus. but, since everyone sins, we need a SAVIOR. if you reject Jesus, then you are judged by your deeds. and since you are guilty, you are punished.

  • Guy: You really don't know your own faith, do you? What does Paul say about the wages of sin in Romans,6:23?To Xians, denial of Jesus and the holy spirit is a sin. Some theologians call it an "unpardonable sin" to blaspheme.I openly do so because I don't subscribe to your faith. But Xians clearly believe in hell as a punishment for non belief. What do you think supposedly happens in hell?Lol.The idea is death for non belief. Read more to understand your own faith better. Thanks and good luck.

  • guy: yes, i know it, do you? wages of sin is death, yes. but it is spirtitual death, not physical. i was speaking of PHYSICAL. you do go to hell if you reject jesus because you are now held accountable for your own sins. if you never sinned, then you don't need Jesus. the problem is, there isn't anyone who hasnt. but, since you don't subscribe to this, why does it bother you? thanks and God bless.

  • "Apologist" is the latest trend in Christian propaganda hucksterism. It is an attempt to distance the lies from the quaint preachers of a generation ago. "Apologists" use circuitous logic and learn just enough rhetorical tricks to make semi-educated young people feel their intelligence flattered. They are still selling the same old superstitious death cult, spreading its bloodthirsty convert or die empire around the world.

  • Hitler continually professed his Christian faith in speeches & writing. He said ridding the world of Jews was like Jesus expelling moneychangers from the Temple. He equated Judaism w/ atheism, atheism w/ degeneracy, degeneracy w/ homosexuality, & all of the above with "Godless communism." Hitler was so devout as a young man he considered the priesthood. Under Hitler, churches flew flags combining Crucifix w/ Swastika. The holocaust was Martin Luther's Christian anti-Jewish words in action.

  • You've just proven Koukl's point... that ppl reject Jesus because of prejudicial and emotional reasons. You are basing your antagonism on the ppl who have misused the religion instead of on what the actual truth the Bible teaches.

  • @freestuffffff And yet he did not follow the teachings of The Bible, and more specifically, the teachings of Jesus. All this shows is that he was a very ignorant person when it came to the Christian religion. By attributing Hitler's reign and the Holocaust to Christianity, one could use this same logic to attribute Stalin, the Gulag, and the Purge with Atheism. Stalin professed Atheism just as Hitler did Christianity. I'm a Christian who is best friends with two Atheists. Understanding is power.

  • @jlangston23 Of course you omit mention of Martin Luther's rabid, Christianity-based hatred of Jews, the basis for Hitler's and most of Europe's antisemitism centuries later. Noted. Christianity and the other Abrahamic faiths are death cults that borrowed from much older belief systems for their fabric of fairy tales. The world can do without such Bronze Age foolishness.

  • @freestuffffff you shouldn't base your thoughts on the things that so called "christians" did, you should read the word for yourself. Not everyone who claims to be christian is perfect... none of us are. What other people did, does not represent a religion as a whole. The religion itself comes from the word, and people mislead and misrepresent it all the time. Christianity did not base any of these so called things you say.. like hatred on jews. People did. And people sin.

  • @vogue321 Rational people have been studying the Bible for a long time and know it to be a big book of fairy tales calculated to brainwash and control gullible peasants. It's full of hateful commands to kill gay boys and non-Hebrew residents of Israel. Bronze Age superstitions have no place in the 21st century. This hack charlatan in the video is singularly annoying of all the Bible thumpers hustling the tax-free religion dollar.

  • @vogue321 Why do you keep referring to the Bible as "the word?" Why do you keep insisting anybody who's studied the Bible as a phenomena rather than a personal religious belief has not read the Bible? Why do you Christians never acknowledge and condemn the legions of mass murderers through the centuries who committed their atrocities in the name of Jesus? You could start with militant Christian soldier Adolf Hitler. Christian Nazi video: watch?v=0Z7GsE7G_eA&feature=related

  • @freestuffffff yeah, keep walking down that road of lies and see where it ends up.

  • @freestuffffff You think Hitler was legitimately Christian?

  • @SeraphsWitness Doesn't matter. Hitler moved the Christians in his country to accept the holocaust by appealing to the tenets of their religion.

  • @freestuffffff What does this have to do with Jesus' credibility? I need you to lay out your chain of logic clearly so I can fully understand what you're trying to say.

  • This smug hick has quite a racket going. No wonder he's got the shite-eating grin pasted in his face throughout. A million a year tax free for spinning this tortured, meaningless BS. Love the news program style and acting 101 delivery.

Hitler spoke on many occasions how his love of Jesus inspired him to persecute the Jews. The Vatican gave its tacit approval to the Third Reich. Now you have the Christian right wing calling for the annihilation of Islam.

    It's a death cult.

  • @tonzimala Whoa whoa... first, this guy isn't Catholic. Second, Hitler was far from a Christian, whether or not he used Jesus' name is irrelevant. Third, this guy never promoted war against Islam. Fourth... "smug hick"? Setting aside the fact that event your hateful slander doesn't even make sense in this context, it's just as rude and intolerant as the fools you're speaking out against.

You're doing exactly the thing you're spewing hate about: prejudice and blanket statements.

  • Amen! I cannot wait for that day!

  • sounds like your convicted freestufffff....

  • It's a death cult. Throughout the Pentateuch you have the so-called god of the Israelites commanding his followers by law to slaughter nonbelievers, sinners and their own insolent children. The myth then states his son Jesus commanded the faithful to obey all the bloodthirsty laws of his father. No accident then that for centuries European Christian monarchs ordered bloodbaths, atrocity and genocide worldwide in the name of Jesus. Atheist mass murderers Pol Pot and Stalin are anomolies.

  • Perhaps many people reject the Judeo-Christian death cult because of its long, long history of atrocity and genocide, both cultural and literal. Perhaps because its foundation, that ugly collection of bloodsoaked pornographic fairytales known as "The Bible" teaches obedience to an imaginary totalitarian master who orders his followers to commit mass executions of the unbelievers. Perhaps because the same fortune funding evangelical hucksters funds the Blackwater Gestapo death squad.

  • You obviously haven't read the bible. Also you have a distorted view on history. Genocides historically have been overwhelmingly been carried out by atheistic regimes. The Judeo-Christian faith above all other faith systems emphasizes the gift of free-will. you can choose to live your own way, or you can choose to acknowledge and submit to God. God will never force anyone to believe. Er..mass executions?? I think your talking about Islam.

  • And your facts for saying such things are... where? Please.

  • Nonsense. Where are the facts to support your claims?

  • Greg, you could be talking about Christians here, right? 1. Not making decisions based on rational reasons. 2. Making decision based on emotional reasons. 3. Prejudicial and narrow minded. 4. Bullheaded about religion.

  • Why would you insult us? Instead of looking
