i just got a new schecter c-1 classic today... it has so much sustain... its simply a great guitar, i have the reddish brown version, definitly blows away my gibson les paul special

Classic has passive electronics, neck through body design for improved sustain & a 25.5" scale length, while the plus has active electronics, a set-neck design & slightly shorter 24.75" scale length. The classic also comes with Seymore Duncan Manufactured pickups, while the Plus comes with "Duncan Designed" pickups, or in other words another manufacturer made the pickups following the Seymore Duncan schematics... And the yes, the Classic is more expensive.

Really recommend the c-1 classic. Very versatile, plays really nice. The only thing that kinda sucks for people is that now they don't sell it in the color that the guy in the video has.

i would say schecter is better. bc rich has to much of the "over the top bodys" its kinda dorky. i only like the ironbird limited

BC Rich isn't bad, it's just that guitar stores only carry the crappy models. Go to BC Rich's web site and check out the "Assassin" series guitars. They're actually quite decent.

ya, the thing about BC Rich is they have really good high end guitars, (i have atually goten a chance to play a custom shop warlock) but their low end is crap and they dont have much of a mid range.

For your first guitar, I wouldn't go over $300. Learn to play on a cheap guitar first.

My first guitar was an Ibanez GAX70. I love it. I recommend that, but it's all about preference. Go to a guitar store and play your ass off. Doesn't matter if you can play guitar or not, you'll know the guitar you want as soon as it's in your hands.

i dont have a classic, but i do have a c-1 fr (floyd rose whammy) and they really are excellent guitars

massive tone, playability, and incredible looks, you can't get much better for the money
