no offense but what are you talking about? zsnes and mednafen are both in the repos and are very good emulators.

ZSNES never worked for me. And mednafen is great, but it has a CLI, and the program I pointed out used mednafen, but gives it a GUI.

If you're in Ubuntu, you double click on the deb file.
If you're in some other Linux distro, you may have to convert it to an rpm.
If you're not in Linux, simply put, you don't.
