  • Hey JD! just saw a couple of your reviews.. I love this beer.. its not too heavy not too light.. and its great for the winter season.. i am a huge fan of your reviews.. keep up the good work..

  • Hey JD, you got this review perfect description. This stuff is the king of brown ales- very delicious

  • This beer is amazing on tap. You can taste the hazelnut flavor much more then in a bottle, but even in the bottle it's a great beer.

  • I first read about this one on BA. Some reviews used descriptions like "desert beer," "too sweet." I picked up a bottle and did a side by side with SmuttyNose Old Brown Dog. In my opinion, SNOBD is sweeter and ultimately won my side by side. I got the (just the right amout of hazelnut) from RHBN, but what I didn't get was sweet. This beer seemed void of sweet to me. Maybe it was the bottle, but water seems sweeter to me than this. Agree on the smoothness, not sweet at all.

  • I tried dead guy and will hopefully be moving onto this tonight!

  • good man

  • This beer is one of my top 5 favorites.

  • my favorite beer!!!!

  • So.... your saying it's good. hahaha.. Nah I've had this, it's amazing! I need to go to Newport soon.

  • Your review inspired me to take the one bomber of this I have out of my fridge. No am am enjoying it. A two thumb up beer indeed.

  • Everytime i watch your vids it feels like your one of my friends i've known for a while. good reviews though man keep em coming.

  • I thought it tasted a lot like bit-o-honey

  • Im gonna go get one right now..peace, nice video.

  • Sam Adams has done recipe contests and produced limited edition lines of the winners. A number of years ago than ran one called Hazelnut Brown Ale. My inability to acquire this again has been brutal, but this sounds like it may be a winner. Thanks for the insight. I like your reviewing style and have subscribed.

  • Ya That is a great saying.

  • I have tried some other Rogue Ales & I'll have to Buyz da Beer!

  • @tarps68 Isnt that a great saying.

  • The first time I had this beer was at my friends house. He brought some down from portland. I live in Cali and I haven't seen it in any local bars. But right now I'm sitting in the Rogue Ales Public House in the Portland Airport and just had it on draft and it was waaaaaay better here. Great beer!!

  • @ViLLaNzKrEw This is one of the better bottled browns that you can find. Thanks for watching.

  • My favorite beer, and my favorite beer reviewer. IF you're ever in Seattle, we need to get a drink, bro!!!

  • @Gospelcopter Thank you very much for the offer.

  • just had this beer about 10 minutes ago and it was great. once again ur reviews have got me into a new beer haha.

  • That is good to hear. Thanks

  • What do you see in a good beer that you can tell such a difference between the different beers? Beer is beer and taste like beer which is all bitter. What did I miss?

  • I can see where you would think that a lot of us have in the beginning. But just like with wine some are better than others it's the same with beer. Some are sweeter, some are very very bitter, and some can be very sour. You will find as you try different beers that some use better ingredients than others. The more craft beers you drink the more your taste buds will pick up.

  • you've missed a lot, every beer tastes different, don't drink mainstream american lagers and you'll see. not all beer is bitter either.

  • This is my fave beer ever. Your reaction to the first taste was just like mine!

  • This is a darn good beer. Every since then I buy it from time to time. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • havnt seen this one around since i have gotten into dark beers.

watching this is making me regret not trying it when i had the chance

  • Next time you see it make sure to pick it up. I would like to know what you think of it.

  • What do you think is the best nutty beer?

And if you had to pick between these three, which one would it be?

    Samuel Smith's nut brown ale

    Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar

    leinenkugel hazelnut beer

  • Haven't had the Leiny yet. But I would say Rogue is the best.

  • this beer is amazing i love it

  • I really fell in love with it after reviewing it. I have been drinking it every since. Thanks for watching.

  • My experience with the Hazelnut Brown Nectar is that it yields a very small, almost soapy head.

For this particular beer, I think you picked the right glass.

  • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this brew. Keep watching and tell a friend.

  • lol dude i mean this in the best way if santa was black you would be it lol

  • Haha I could see that. But I am not ready for white hair yet. Wait I don't even have any hair.

  • Hey man! I just had this beer on tap at a new restaurant near my house. This is probably the best beer I have ever tasted! Thanks for all the great reviews. Keep 'em coming!

  • Since I have reviewed this beer. I have taken to parties and to a buddies to watch a game and everyone has loved it. Your right this is a very good beer.

  • Hey whats up JoeD? Man, I just picked up one of these bombers on a recommendation...and what can I say man? THIS IS SOME GREAT BREW!!! Another good review brother...spot on....and I agree man!! DEFINITE TWO THUMB UP BREW....keep up the good work homeboy!!

  • got a few of these while i was at the liqour store up here in canada and i must say very very very good beer!

  • Thank you for your comment. It sure is a good beer. One of the best browns I have had.

  • Is this beer only available in the 22oz?

I live in Alabama, and I believe law only allows 16 oz sales. I have to have this beer. Anyone in the southeast please let me know where I can get this in any neighboring states.

    Thanks.

  • On their website that is the only size they say they make it in. I hope you are able to get it at a local store if not you might need to check online.

  • Gold: Herbal Joes Columbarillo IPA, Chama River Brewing Co., Albuquerque, NM

Brewmaster: Jeff Erway, AHA Member: Ben Miller

Looks like your local boys won Gold at the Great American Beer Festival for the Pro-Am Competition.Congrats

  • I just got back from vacation and noticed thatthey won. Chama River is a dam good brewery I don't just say that to be a homer. If it was a bad brewery I wouldn't even mention them. Thanks so much for noticing.

  • Wow, that is a beautiful looking beer. i love brown ales. I cant wait to try this beer...if I can find it, lol. Man that looks tasty.

    Another great review Joe!

  • I hope you are able to find this beer. So you can let me know what you think of it. I loved it! Best brown I have had in a while next to one they make locally here in N.M.

  • What's up. I just recently started watching your beer reviews and I'm loving it! Good stuff. You should definitely try Spaten Munchen Dunkel and maybe do a review on it. Peace!!

  • Thank you for watching the videos. I am very glad you liked them. I will see if I can find that beer you mentioned.

and good video by the way, haha youre funny.

    sweet music too, relaxing!

  • Thank you so much for that comment. We are not real used to ordering beer but overseas they do it all the time and they (the brewery) brings it to there door. Cool huh. Keep watching and tell a friend.

  • yup you bet. yeah that is cool,

    and you bet i will

  • Chug, Chug lol!!

I can hook you up with some Weyerbacher Brews if ya want to do some beer mail.

    Great Review Bro.....

  • Sure Bro send them over. Thanks in advance and for being a long time viewer!!

  • Man I just downed a 22oz bomber of this great stuff while watching your review of it. What else can i say, best brown I've ever had hands down. I finished one bomber so quick I didn't even know what happened. I think next i'll try the chocolate stout by Rogue, its rated really high on BA, must be good! Cheers! Joe D

  • you will love the chocolate stout, i also go to beer advocate just before i buy a beer so i know if its worth it... so don't hesitate, rogue makes some of the best brews.

  • They make some really good beers. Although I will let you know I was a little disappointed in their Mocha Porter. It was good but boring. A little too much like every other porter on the market. I am so used to Rogue making beers that are a little different and exciting. Thank you so much for watching.

  • Great review as usual this is in every liquor store here in New Jersey and it is my favorite beer, kinda expensive but worth every penny and you described it perfectly. Yeah I know thanks for watching and tell a friend, LOL!

  • I really did like this beer a lot. I am mixing it up now so I will leave you with. Thanks for tuning in and drink your beers in a glass. Ha-ha.

  • I am glad you enjoy the videos. I put a lot into them and it's great to get the feedback. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • Now that's a raving review! I definitely have to try it though I'd probably need to share the bottle with someone.

Keep up the good work and thanks for keeping it jolly. Makes me excited to try the beers you review!

  • Thank you I am glad you entertained. Always glad to hear when people like the videos. Keep watching and enjoy your beers in a glass.

Keep up the awesome videos man.

  • Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Keep watching and tell a friend.

  • since im in washington state rogue beers are easily to find, we even have rogue dead guy ale on tap at my work right now. the hazelnut brown is my favorite brown ale that ive ever had, for me its like a 95 out of 100. rogue also makes a chocolatte stout that is amazing and i just cracked a 22oz of the shakespeare stout which of course is awesome. recomend them all!

love the honest natural reactions on the reviews as always!

  • Your are in a excelent region for craft beers. There are so many out there it's hard to pick just one clear favorite. I am the same way. I am south of Colorado which is the Meca of craft beer in this country. There are hundreds of great beers coming out of there. Thanks for the comment and enjoy your beers!!

  • i bought rogue "dead guy ale" in a sixer of 12oz bottles.

  • another great review joe! been meaning to pick up a few Rogue beers at my local store..

i like how u paused and didnt say a word while u poured more haha great!!

its funny how u say they got a cult going for Rogue. I take it its mostly Oregon folks.. but hey I'm from Cali & I pretty much worship Stone Brewing Co. haha

  • Thank you so much for watchig and commenting.

  • Oh man... I've yet to try anything from Rouge. Maybe this weekend I will and review it!

  • I would love to see what you thought of Rogue. Keep me posted.

  • hey man, i just had an idea, i thought maybe you could like go over your beer reviews again around the end of the year, and like have a best beer of the year...(rhymin...awl right) but just a suggestion

  • I will have to consider that thought. Not a bad idea I just get so busy around that time we will just have to see how it goes. Thanks for watching and drink your beers in a glass.

  • hey youtube HAHAHAHAHA - fat mofo

  • Well thanks for watching anyway.

  • Thanks for the review, will try this one for sure!

    Woody

  • Hey thanks for stopping by. This was a fantastic Brown ale.

  • Rogue beers are some of the best. This is a flavor I haven't tried yet...keep passing it. Guess I gotta get one...or four!

  • Oh you have to let me know what you think of this brew if you pick it up. I loved it!! But I love browns.

  • Rogue makes some good stuff

  • They sure do huh? Really starting to like their beers. But some people are crazy fans for their beers. Thanks for watching and drink your beers in a glass.

  • Yeah there is some crazy Rogue fans up here in Oregon. A little obsessive over their beer, but who am I to judge? I like it too!

  • Ok... "Buyz da Beer!" Oh man, I think I better get the Mrs Imasofat to copyrite that before we loose it!

Hey, great review JoeD. 5 Star and Favorited for sure!

  • You better cuz I love that saying. And I was told if you say something three times it like yours. Ha-ha. Thank you so much Bro!!

  • how often do you drink?....jus asking no reason?

  • Ha-ha, that is funny you ask cuz it is actually not as much as you might think. Thanks for watching and drink your beers in a glass.

  • you've done a really good job at improving your videos...I wish you would go big and be on a famous show and then they pay for you to do it. lol

  • That is a very kind thing to say thanks. If it were to happen it would be because of people like you that take the time to watch and comment. Thank you!!

  • Awesome brew. I love nut browns.

  • Me Too!! Browns are my fav. Thanks for watching and drink your beers in a glass.

  • The guy on the bottle kinda looks like you! Nice vids!

  • Ha-ha, I guess so huh? I just wish I had that beer mug he has. I love glasses and I have beer glass envy. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • God damn swedish alcohol-monopoly! GRR...

Systembolaget (wiki it), their selection of beers is weeeak! i want me some Rouge!

  • Rogue is very good stuff. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • Iv'e never had this brew from Rogue. Need to try it. Tried their Chocolate Stout the other day, and it blows any other so called chocolate beer out of the water! But at $5.29 for a bomber, I only buy them on rare occasions. Nice review!

  • They make some fine beers. Actually there are some great beers coming from that whole state. Lots of competition there. Thanks for watching.

  • I've used the ingredients list to try to clone brew Rogue beers before (Kell's Irish Lager, to be specific). It wasn't bad, but I still have a way to go with it.... although lagering is difficult here in Phoenix.

    Rogue Nation!

  • You know I believe if you contact them they have kits available so you can brew their exact recipe at home. Thanks for watching.

  • This is ture. The brewshop I frequent has the kits (althogh they said they've had them a while, so the yeast might be going stale).... but it's a lot of fun trying to figure it out from a list of ingredients, too :-)

  • another great review. will try to find it in my area

  • Please do and make sure to let me know what you think of the brew. Thanks for continuing to watch and comment!!
