The 3 interns that Elliot, JD and Cox specifically choose, are the complete opposites of themselves.

Cox is the hardest working Doctor that Sacred Heart has ever had, literally putting his own career + life on the line to help the patients. He chose Ed who is lazy and has no ambition to go the extra mile.

Elliot, as the character with the lowest self esteem, picked an intern which far too much self-confidence.

and JD, the sensitive character, picked Denise who is emotionally bulletproof.

the bloopers at the end of each episode in this season take away a lot of the credibility of the characters. is that an ABC thing? i don't mind watching them on a separate "reel" after seeing ALL the episodes, but to see them at the end of each one breaks the continuity - and in this episode, it also broke the emotion of the last scene. for me atleast.
